Sokka let out an animal like cry as he tumbled to the floor and started hitting the body that fell over him impulsively. "GETOFFYOURAPIST!!!!" He howled!! He couldn't see at this point because of the smoke, so he was mostly just hitting the air and on occasion making contact with Zuko's body.

Hearing the word 'rapist' Zuko subconsciously froze up, staring at the swirling smoke with wide eyes. However, when he felt Sokka's fist collide with his arm, he snapped out of it, quickly pulling himself up so his arms were on each side of the other teen, lowering his face close to Sokka's so he could see who was down there. "You again?!" he huffed, quickly standing back up in disgust.

Zuko's expression quickly changed from angry to afraid, as he stared at Sokka, subconsciously taking a step back. Did he really... have to use that word...? Zuko shivered, then quickly regained his composure from there, "I was only walking." he spat out, "I did not see you in front of me because of the smoke. I was heading towards deck. If you actually thought I was attacking you because we bumped into each other... then you're an even bigger moron than I had first imagined..."

Sokka rubbed his eyes, still on the floor. "... well, what's with all the smoke then?" He muttered, coughing a little. "...makes it hard to breathe, ya know..."

Zuko stopped walking, letting out a sigh and rolling his eyes. He then turned around and headed back to Sokka, reaching out a hand to help him up.

Eyes half lidded, Sokka allowed Zuko to escort him to the deck, where he finally got a whiff of fresh air. "Thanks, man.." He said thankfully, rubbing soot from squinting blue eyes. "Sorry I attacked you."

Sokka frowned, but moreso in melancholy then disgust this time.
... It was sad, how... Zuko really didn't want anything to do with him.
After all they'd been through... he could at least smile once in awhile... or maybe just laugh... or even say hi! Even if he just said hi with that grimace on his face.. it'd be nicer than constantly being ignored.
"You... could say you're welcome." Sokka stated boldly.
