max turned and looked at strobe from the corner of his eye as he got out of the water. strobe was well muscled and very attractive. max found that he couldnt take his eyes off strobe. he dunked his head under the water to bring himself back to reality. when he came up, he said, "im going to see Patrick and none of you can stop me."

max was holding his clothes in front of his lower midsection to cover himself, but he wasnt dressed yet. his fur was still dripping wet even though he had already shaken off, and he didnt want to soak his clothes.
"hey Jackie, are you ok? dont tell me youve never seen a naked guy before, and thats why you passed out."

Strobe quickly sent some hot air out over the river, causing the river to attempt to correct the balance and send back cool air. By correcting his hot air by minor aqdjustments, Strobe directed some cool air over the face of Jackie.
"Maybe she'll wake up now."

Crow stopped reading for a moment to look around, it seemed that they might be coming over to the campfire, so he promptly closed the file and set it down. Resting his hands behind his head he fell onto his back and stared at the sky, waiting for Kioko to start telling the story of the war. He did take a sudden interest in the subject ever since it was mentioned when they first escaped.

"if i put my clothes on, they will get soaked. besides, my fur down there is long and thick enough to cover everything. i just wear clothes out of habit." he had taken a seat beside the campfire and set his clothes down next to him. he was seated cross legged, and he had not exaggerated when he said he was well covered. nothing showed and he didnt seem worried that anything would.

Strobe was once again fully clothed and was running fire through his hair in order to dry it. Seeing as he was fully fire-proof, it didn't seem like a problem, and it got his hair dry alot faster. When he sat down by the campfire, his hair was steaming visibly.
"So, what've you got on this war?"

"okay, everybody is here" Kioko said looking around.
She flipped open the book to the place where she left off and began reading.
"There once was a war of great magnotude, it nearly broke apart the barrier between the magical world and the normal world. The war was called the Mythical war. It was the magical creatures versus the non-magical. I says here that the war started when a dictator came into power and started killing off the magical creatures in hopes of making them extinct. All the while he poisoned the minds of the humans in saying that it was the creatures who started the killing & made them turn into enemies. Of course, there was a ressistance to the Dictator and they learned by sneaking into the dictator's personal wizards or warlocks, that he just wanted the power of the mytical creatures by killing them all so there wouldnt be a guardian left to protect the power. He would then use that power to rule the wrold. so the rebels went to help the magical creatures and told them of the plans. The few people that helped out were given the powers to protect the power that was sealed, but in return they were morphed into part mythical being. like us now." Kioko said looking up.
"Umm, the rest talks about how the war lasted for decades without either side backing down. Of course, the rebels grew old and eventually died, but remnants of the powers went and passed on to people that had a similar will to the previous guardians. These powers were locked until it was needed the most and it was then they would decide which side they would go to. It didnt go down by decendants because then they would easily get tracked." Kioko said taking a deep breath. that was alor to say at one time. she wanted the information to seek into everybody before she told them about how the powers were forcefully extracted later.

Crow sat up and looked at Kioko, she looked like she had something more to say. He certainly hoped she did, after all, if not it probably meant that there was some crisis just over the horizon, and that they would be responsible for the outcome.
