I realized that I only printed out six of the eight documents I needed to when I came back to the library in tears.

Teachers have a tendency to take on a condescending attitude very quickly these days – I hate that they're so swift to assume that if a student is having problems, it's because they don't care or are doing it on purpose. Teachers are hired to teach and nurture future generations of kids to prepare them for their roles in the world later in life: not to judge students, or treat them like ignorant cattle. Students have lives, problems, and are just as likely to forget or make mistakes or have bad days as adults are. I find it really sad that they've taken on this "students are my work; must give grades; if they ******** up, they're lazy and stupid" attitude towards their own classes because of all of this over-blown bullshit on having perfect grades, etc. I'm really sad you have to deal with that, sweetie. *Hugs*

And we all have times were we argue with or offend those we love the most; hell, just last night I said something really insensitive to my girlfriend, and we didn't talk for a while until finally calmly laying out our apologies to each other, and accepting that we'd both been stupid (myself moreso than her). It is because we love that person so much that our words hold such weight – the smallest thing said can hurt someone's feelings completely, because we mean so much to them as well. But, sometimes, when everything is said and done, and apologies are made, you learn more about how that person feels about things, and it strengthens your relationship with them.

..And I feel like a dork.

Sheesh, everyone's got someone but me. v.v Almost makes me want to go back out with my ex again.
