Do you think that it'll be good? The book was excellent...but the movie seems less entertaining...

Just me though.

Well, since I haven't answered the questions for the "password."
So...well
What are my strengths?
If you mean more of a characteristic strength, then I'm extremely empathetic. I tend to hold up for what I believe in such as Christianity and I'm very open about my believes and what other people believe in. I try to be as honest as I can. But academically speaking, I'm really good in the sciences and math.
Follow-up:
What are my weaknesses?
I'm not as assertive as I should be. I don't have any passions. In other words, I do lots of things. And naturally, I do them very well such as piano, academics, tennis, etc. But at the same time, I don't strive to excel so I never get 1st place or anything. I'm always second.
What makes me happy?
I'm the kind of person who believes that happiness is something that will never exist. If happiness exists, then it's very ephemeral and almost seems like a dream. To me, I'm happy when I can run away from all my troubles; when I forget everything that's weighing me down. Because that is nearly impossible, I'm rarely genuinely happy. I can be jolly though! =]

KitaAmaya Do you think that it'll be good? The book was excellent...but the movie seems less entertaining... @.@ Just me though. Well, it'll be interesting. I've got to watch it in two mindsets - one is the critical one that compares it to the book, and the other is to enjoy it as a motion picture. smile We'll see!

That's just like my dad~
When we go to watch a movie, I look at the plot and how everything comes together, etc. My dad, on the other hand, looks ONLY at the graphics.
o.o
That's just because he's not very good at English, but...>.<

Hey Orna! Oh, ya, my weekend was okay, how was yours? Are you doing anything exciting?
My life is a bit crazy right now-we are preparing for my Concert Choir performance for Christmas. It is amazing! If any of you are Music lovers, I should see if you know any of the pieces we are doing-oh it is going to be so much fun!
This Christmas thing is amazing-I think I've gotten four or is it five things now! How nice everyone is! ^-^ I want to enter the other contests-and I like sending out greetings to people for christmas-it brings in the spirit of the season! Whoever thought this up is a genius! ^-^
Well, thanks for listening, how is everyone here? What is going on in your life?

Orna , the golden compass was pretty good. I mean sometimes it looked really fake and other times it was like "sugoi desune! 3nodding " I did get angry at the end, but I won't say why because I don't want to spoil it for everybody. My weekend was okay, I slept till 3 in afternoon yesterday because I was making up for lost sleep. Also on a not so good term, my uncle is in intesive care in the hospital. So me and my mom tried to visit him yesterday, but visiting hours ended at 8 and it was 830 so yeah we couldnt see him. So instead we went to my aunts house, where my whole family was to support my aunt and cousins. I had fun...in a sad mood everyone tried not to think about the hard things and only wanted to support my aunt and make their family a lil bit happier. We watched a boxing matching between Maryweather and this english boxer called "hitman" and of course Maryweather won...I mean he did win against Oscar de la Hoya and la Hoya is awesome.Meryweather has won every single match and hes a champion in basically all the weight classes (like featherweight, heavyweight and such) He doesn't do very good interviews and does not have many fans because he is so arrogant and knows it. The brits were rude though during the match, their national anthem came on and the americans respected it but when the american anthem came on, all the brits started booing and yeah. They tried to antagonize Maryweather I suppose, because he does have alot of enemies. You should have seen the fight between Maryweather and la Hoya, man we Mexicans were all over it. So I guess, you can see that boxing is a big sport in my family. Back to my uncle though, it's sad what happening to him and I pity him but he basically did it to himself. Last year at christmas he got sick and had to go to the hospital and the doctors told him that if he does not stop drinking, he will die in a year. Lo and behold, it's a year. He's really sick and not only did he keep his alcoholic ways but he didn't take any of the prescriptions the doctors gave him. I guess you can say that my uncle is hardheaded and very stubborn, I feel sorry for my aunt because she has to deal with him so much. sweatdrop Anyways, that's my whole rant, I guess. But other than that my weekend was so-so. The hospital thing, did keep a damper on my spirits. crying

    Welcome Vortigan! smile
I'm glad that you were sorted into Ravenclaw - we're a smart but friendly bunch. Plan on getting involved - whether it's through the threads, the events, or chatting up with the members!
If you haven't read the first post of this thread, I highly recommend it - as well as the "Welcome" and "House Points" threads. Also, keep in mind the Guild rules (in the Welcome thread) and the literacy standard of the guild.
I'm your prefect *curtsies* and I'm more than willing to answer a question that you might have. You can either post here or send me a PM. LadyHealingHands is our Head of House - she's the best head (we're not biased at all) in the guild and she's done so much for the Guild. Our Yule events are going on right now, so head over here and post your Gaia 'Erised' desires.
Don't forget to answer the riddle to gain complete access to the common room! (read the first few posts in the thread)
Your friendly Ravenclaw Prefect, Orna

Welcome vortigan to ravenclaw. I hope you have a lot of fun here and just enjoy yourself. It's a small house but that makes it special. Heheh...orna, no we're not biased at all, LHH is the best head of house. razz Anyways, I am so glad that my finals are almost over. yay!! I'm also glad because I finally got around to the erised wish list thread, never thought I was going to find time to do it. How are all of you Ravenclaws doing today?

Doing awesome.
Agh...I had a bad day today. I forgot that we had a final of Chinese Opera (o.o)... cry
So, I wrote what the packet said verbatim (from what I recalled) onto the paper. I went a bit...overboard?
She only gave us a page to answer 8 questions. I used like a page and half (almost 2).
HEY VORTIGAN...
*copies and paste Orna's comment*
Nah...
Yea, we're cool!
ninja
And loco.... rofl
But because so few people actually bother to chat here (*cough* Ivysaurex and Damousie777*), it's a small bunch. Well, as far as I know, recently I've seen paraphernalia_101 and Orna respond the most out of everyone else... 3nodding

*laughs* That's because I live on Gaia.
Kitsune and I tend to get in chatting sprees - but yeah, there are a group of us who are most active. We do have fun though, we're not all secluded brainiacs.

Seriously, when I'm not at zchool or studying (being a good ravenclaw xp ) I'm either on gaia or myspace. Either or, its all good! When I do go out with my friends its the weekend usually..so I'm rarely on gaia on the weekends. I'm just so glad that I'm going to have a month and almost a half off for winter break, can't wait to go to knotts berry farm on saturday!
