-goes on-
Well, I was at a weapon store...and I wanted to get a gun or a knife...I never even thought of a whip at all.
So I was walking past the counter to the gun rack, and there was this whip hanging in a case on the wall. It caught my attention, cause I thought it must be extra special to be in a case like that.
So I asked the vendor, some guy named Paul Brosky.
"Why is that in a case? Is it special for some reason?"
He says,"Ooohhh. The whiap. No, you don't wawnt thayat, son. That thang's cursed!"
-is getting himself excited, and pauses to see if she's still interested-
Keep going!! How's it cursed?? o3o!!
-gets more excited because she is actually interested-
-starts making gestures to go along with the story-
So I say- I say, "Curse? Fah! That's poppy-c**k!!"
And Paul shook his head at me and says, "I'm tellin' you, boay, it ain't! That thang there is CURSED!"
And I say, "How is it? You can't just say it's cursed! Prove it!"
So he says, he says, "I had many a man older'n you come in heahr through the yeahrs and buay this whiap. I gave 'em three days before they come bayack screamin' and a hollerin' at me for givin' them a cursed whiap."
So I prodded him to go on. And he said, he said--
!!!
Guess what he told me!!
-bounces a little, excited and wide-eyed-
What what what WHAT?!?!?!? O3O!!!! *leans in a bit closer to hear the rest*(( @Winged: D: Bye bye..I dun haz to leave until..11.. 12 if I'm sneaky....>3>;; ))
-blushes a little when she gets closer, but is oblivious because he's telling his story-
He said he said!!
-grips her arms to make it more involving-
"They come bayak to me and they tells me 'Spirits came for that whiap! They hunted me dayown!! I tried fighten' em with it, but it didn't do nothin'!! I nearly got kealled!! That's the DEVIL'S whiap!!' "
-gasps and shakes her-
And then!! And then and then and then!!
He says he says, "And they all demanded I take back the whiap!! I never made a cent offa that thang!! I'm tellin you boay, it's made for the devil!!"
-waits to see her reaction before continuing-
-is prickling with excitement-
(( I love how we're all spazzy flailing here. XD! )) O3O!! *was being shook for a while then she grabs his arms and shakes him back*
DAMMIT, stop with the stopping randomly!!! I wanna hear more!!!! *stops suddenly and lets him go, looking at him curiously with her head tilting slightly to the right*
Wait...How did you react to that? ? o3o?

-waits a moment, just grinning, before continuing-

And he just smirked at me, but he took up the challenge. He says to me, "You got 3,000 dollars?"
And that made me freeze. How could that thing be so much!? It was cursed!! But it was BECAUSE it was cursed that it cost so much. And of course, I was only 14, so I didn't have all that money! I had 50 bucks in my pocket, for a first payment on a gun, but that was IT. So this is what I do...
I say to him, I say, "Listen here, mister! You say that no one can ever keep this thing? And they all come back screaming and hollering?"
And he nods at me.
So I say, "Well, how about THIS."
And I slam the 50 bucks down on the counter, and I say, "Here's 50 bucks, to make sure I don't run off with the thing. I NEED that 50 bucks, it's all I got left. Trust me on that."
And he looks at me, giving me the stink-eye. And he says, "What is it you wawnt, boay? I'm not letting you run off and leavin' me with 50 bucks without a good reason!"
So I say, I say, "Lookie here!! I give you my 50 bucks now, and I take that whip. If I can't work it after 3 days, I'll give it back, and you can keep my 50 bucks--BUT."
And Paul squints at me.
"BUT! If I can work this thing, and I don't have any problems with the Devil, I get to keep it, and you get the 50 bucks."

It was all tattered, and I wondered how the hell it could come to be known as cursed, and worth 3000 dollars. I was all enveloped in my curiosity, checking the length of the whip, gripping at the hilt here and there. I didn't even notice as a huge shadow came up behind me...
-trails off dramatically, looking away off-handedly like it's no big deal-
-glances at her to see her expression-

"Jeez, woman!!" He grumbled but stopped hopping and continued with his story, smiling a little.
"So I'm walking, and all of a sudden, a shot goes past my head!! I jumped out of my skin and turned around, and sure enough, there was a HUGE Akuma!! I didn't really know what it was at the time, but I had heard stories. And my mind flicked back to what Paul had said.
But I wasn't gonna give up without a fight. I had only ever had a few lessons with a whip before, but I knew the basic. So I unrolled it, and I cracked it once.
Nothing happened. In fact, the Akuma started shooting at me more. I was dodging them easily at this point. It was just a level one, so it couldn't do anything but moan at me, and keep shooting.
So, I kept cracking the whip at it. It left some slashes, but nothing enough to do any real damage. So I was getting frustrated as I was dodging the attacks still.
Finally I flailed, shaking the whip angrily, and I said, I said
'COME ON, YOU STUPID WHIP!! GO!!!'
And at that instant, when I cracked it, fire darts shot out from the tip of it!!
I was totally freaked out. How could the thing make fire!? It was a whip!! But I was really desperate now, so I cracked the whip at the Akuma again. And sure enough, more sparks came out!!
They shot into the Akuma, doing a lot more damage than the whip had done by itself, without the flame. So I kept at it, and the sparks got bigger!!
Finally, I cracked her, and BAM!!
These huge flame tongues shot out, gripping around the Akuma!!"
He paused again, making her wait in suspense, ready to dodge her kick.
