He took a huge bite of his food. "You ok? You seem a little distracted"

Cassie was going towards the boys dorms.. She was sick of hearing all the rumors.. about her, Hartley, Chris, Lisa, and even Teddy from what she understood. Cassie never cared about rumors, what she did care about was that one of her friends, Hartley, might be in trouble..

"Oh you know Just a new school and all, The first few day are never easy..." She said softly.
The chopstick in her hand were what she Thought were made out of Some kinda of Green stone. That began to Glow in her hands.
"And .. suddenly I'm not feeling too well..." She groaned lightly, pushing her food away. "I've never felt so sick like this... must be the food..." She grasped at her midsection...
She groans loudly again, never having felt anything like this before... dropping the glowing chopsticks and fallling to her knees....
"Uh.. please.. I don't know what wrong with me..."

Cho mid bite when Linda started to complain about feeling ill. "I think the foods fine..." He turned to her as she dropped the chopsticks and groaned in pain.
"Linda? Whats going on?" Out of the corner of his eyes he noticed a green light coming from below them. It was the chopsticks. It didn't take a genius to know that they were doing something out of the ordinary. Cautiously, he kicked them away. For all he knew they could do the same thing to him if he touched them.

"Yo..." Wallace looked over at the box and waved. Billy must have magicked himself right on inside of that. Convenient if Teddy was into gerbiling.

"Are you getting drunk because you're upset about Hartley...or are you getting drunk because it's a school day and that's what you do?"

"I'm not drunk," Wallace said, waving a milk carton around, "Let Billy out so I can play with him."

The dark glow form the chop sticks dissipated once they were far enough away, and Linda felt much better.
"Oh." She gasped regains her breath. "I feel so stupid... It's strange but I'm feeling better now.. Like nothing happened."
She pushed herself up back on the bench and looked away embarrassed.
"I have No idea what that was..." She shook her head trying to get past the memory. "But I hope it doesn't happened again..."

Well, Lisa had done her magic and it worked. Nobody was talking about Hartley anymore. Hartley appreciated Lisa's effort to help him....in her own, crazy b***h way.
Things were starting to even off again in his mind...other than the Thanksgiving thing, which Hartley was trying to justify mentally into something great. Most kids left campus for Thanksgiving...if he stayed behind it would give him a chance to do some things with less possibility of being caught.
That was something to look forward to...right?
In fact....he still had those Symphonic Sapphires in his room. Billy may have stolen his flute, but the flute was the tool...the crazy-brilliant sonic genius was still as his disposal.
Hartley WAS feeling better. He even attended a class and glee club. He headed into the cafeteria for dinner and was relieved that not a single soul looked up to notice him.

"Sure you're feeling better now?" He looked at her then to the chopsticks on the ground what ever it was I think it came from your chopsticks. They were glowing green"
He walked over to the now dull chopsticks. Besides seeming to made of some sort of rock they seemed fine now. He used his own chopsticks to pick them up still not wanting to touch them.
"I should probably take a look at these"

"Outta the box." Wallace got up and stumbled over to peer into the box and see...a mouse. "He needs cheese."
So, Billy had turned himself into a mouse. Teddy must have been horrified. Wallace pulled on a pair of pants haphazardly, managing to tumble only once onto the floor to wrestle with a real ornery pantleg. Slipping on his sneakers, he trundled off to the cafeteria to find a piece of cheese.

So, the fur was quite easy to identify. I showed the fur to Dr. Rao and she was able to tell me that it came from Panthera leo.
Uh...
A lion, Chris. It came from the mane of a lion.
Psh...of course! Panthero Lion-o.
*Mr. Allen coughs politely.*
Yes, well, as I said that was easy. The difficulty was in identifying the substance on the spear. I made the assumption that the substance would be African in origin due to the lion's mane. It turns out to be curare.
What's that?
A paralytic poison from South America. You said your friends were attacked and captured? Well this would do the job. Also...
*Dr. Allen hands Chris a blown up picture of the spear blade. There was actually a design on it.*
This was etched on to the blade.
Wow! Thanks, Dr. Allen! I have some research to do.
Good luck, Chris. And remember our deal.
*Chris hurried off to the library.*
