You're a couple years late on picking that one up. The game is so ridiculously top-heavy now it's impossible to do anything before endgame without a disproportionate amount of effort.

The game had a lot of problems when it was first released, but they've done a lot of work with patching things and adding content that would have balanced everything out and made the game a lot more complete as a whole if they had just done it earlier on, before everyone that still played was just grinding endgame stuff.

Yeah, people are still playing low level jobs... but they're on their like seventh one so they're just trying to grind through levels as fast as possible with the most expensive gear they can get on the over-inflated economy because they already have four jobs at cap.

...honestly. Hoping that Squeenix just drops it and makes a new FFO or something where they've learned from their mistakes. I loved the game, but it had a lot of issues that were hard to get around.

It is a sit down and play through it.

I haven't done that.....need to catch up to where I was with a friend.

Than conquer it in one night.

Sometimes it does s**t to throw me off and actually puts me on edge.

Rarely does that ever happen.

Play F.E.A.R.

At night.

Alone.

With the lights turned off.

That game will bend you over and give you a swift kick to the rear to send you clean over the edge.

The first Condemned does have it's moments when it comes down to it. As most people who have played the game will tell you, it really sets you up for the school level. It's not going to win any awards, but it had some tricks up it's sleeve that you don't normally see in games, particularly having the entire game, save for the opening and prelude, taken from a first-person perspective.

Like, say, having someone throw you down a flight of stairs.

Condemned 2 wasn't quite as visceral on that level, but it did a good job of improving the overall gameplay.
