Waffle gasped as she was slammed against the wall, and cried out after the second time. She got up and steadied herself before she lunged at him. "Coward!" she called out. Waffle grabbed Luc's arm and shocked it with weak electricity (she didn't have her orb with her this time), followed by a hard slap to the face when the time was right. A few pedestrians stopped to watch as they were fighting in front of a hospital, but Waffle shot them a dirty look that screamed '******** off!', making some of them scram.
Meanwhile, Sabe sat up in his hospital bed. The sedatives wore off earlier than expected, and he had been told earlier that he would be released on his own if nobody claimed him while he was still all drugged up and vulnerable. Waffle was supposed to pick him up hours ago.

Luciano grunted when Waffle shocked him, but he was caught off guard by the slap to the face. Luciano had been drinking, so his reflexes were not helping him. After she had slapped him, Luciano staggered a bit and then eventually fell onto the pavement. Looking up at Waffle, he was thinking of the best way to kill her. A slow and painful death would do just the trick. This is what happens when you threaten the lives of the people that he loves more than anything. More than life itself. .

Waffle gingerly walked up to him, then set one of her feet on his throat. She bent down to make sure he could hear. "That wasn't necessary. All I did was ask you to take care of Sabe and nurse him back to health. Exactly how hard is it to do that? I've done it before. He isn't too picky. Yeah, I'm serious about the consequences if you don't own up, but you know what? You'll be in the same s**t I'm in. You do not want to ******** around with a whole kingdom...and to be honest, you'd be lucky if you got my parents angry rather than the in-laws. Last time I checked, Sabe's very protective father hasn't been taking his meds. He isn't very sane anyway, but still... I'll be spared 'cause he'll chalk it up to women being evil harpy women, but you wouldn't be excusable."
While Waffle was ranting at Luciano, the hospital door opened, then closed as someone walked out alone.

Luciano growled, "You threatened the lives of my family. And you think that makes you any better than those soldiers that tried to kill you, and everyone else you knew. ." But despite everything, he knew he didn't have a choice what so ever.
Luciano may have been tipsy, but he managed to grab Waffle's ankle and twisted it a bit- Not to break it, but just enough to get her off of him. Once she was landed onto the ground, Luciano got up and looked down at Waffle, "Fine. I'll ******** help him. But if you touch ANYONE in my family, I'm going to kill you- And it won't be a quick death."

Waffle picked herself up from the ground and brushed off the bits of sidewalk debris that still clung to her. "Have fun with that," she said, "...anyway, we better get him now." Waffle turned around and started walking, only to bump into someone.
"Get who?" he asked; he didn't sound too pleased. Waffle looked up at him and nearly had a heart attack. <********, what am I gonna do now?
"Sabe, I-"
Sabe didn't let her finish. His shirt and bandages rustled a little as he backhanded Waffle, sending her reeling.back a few steps. "You're a ******** fool, Waffle," he said, "I heard that someone was picking me up this morning, but I didn't expect it to be this late let alone with you two brawling outside! Everybody on the first floor could probably hear it!"
Waffle was going to say something again, but Sabe hobbled past her and Luciano toward the car. As he stepped down the curb toward the car, he winced and his hand shot up to his rib.

After getting accustomed to the overall silence at HQ, Nariana spent more and more time at her office negotiating new annual contracts with Maximillian. Nothing out of the ordinary happened with the angel, so she took that as her sign to continue with her work.
'I actually missed this place,' she thought to herself one day while sitting in her office chair.

Sabe made his way to the front passenger door of the car and waited for the other two. His face felt like it was sizzling.
Waffle's face was sizzling too, but for a different reason. She was caught completely off-guard and given a fat pink hand-shaped mark on her face. The mark dispersed before the shame did. She turned around and walked toward the car with her head down, not saying anything.

"Still catching up on this freaking paperwork from when I was gone" Said skotti to his toddling son, running around his office. "Ya know, with so many out of the ordinary things going on, angels and such, HQ is unusually quiet" he said as his son tossed a ball across the room and giggled at it..

After finishing up her work early, Nariana decided to head back to HQ and see if anyone wanted to take a run around town with her. She told Max where she was going; he merely waved. While driving back to HQ, she thought, 'Maybe someone will want to have a late lunch with me?' She hadn't eaten since breakfast, and the weather was decent. She parked her car and walked inside, hoping someone was up.

Luciano hopped into the car, and he waited for everyone else to get in before he started the car. After pulling out of the parking lot, Luciano drove down the street; He knew the way back home all by heart, so he didn't have to think too much about it. It was like the car was on Auto pilot, or something.
Sometimes Luciano would steal a couple glances at Sabe; Seeing how beat up he really was. . He was now feeling guilty. Thinking about it now, he was drinking a little that day. Maybe it was the alcohol?
Luciano put his eyes back on the road, but he couldn't focus. He was too afraid of what Sabe could possibly be thinking now. Moments like this, Luciano wished that he was drunk beyond drunk so that way he wouldn't feel anything. Anything but this. .
He continued to drive on, deep in thought and in guilt.

KD had just gotten out of the shower, washing away all the dirt from resurrecting the garden. She got dressed and stepped out of her room, secretly hoping she'd run into Johnny... instead she ran in to Nari. "Hello Nariana, how are you today?" She asked cheerfully.

The lack of focus showed in Luciano's driving as he gradually veered from the center of the lane, then suddenly moved to correct it. The sharp jerks made Sabe wince.
Sabe wasn't paying attention to anyone in the car, but instead was wondering why Waffle and Luciano were acting in an uncharacteristic way. He never thought that Waffle was completely stable, but he never thought that she would pick a fight with good friends. But she did. Sabe never thought that anything would drive him to slap her, either, but there was and he did. And it made her retreat and sulk. Luciano, on the other hand, looked much worse since the last time Sabe saw him even considering the reason behind it....but still came out here to see him, even though he looked like he needed time alone. It was obvious that Luciano didn't wanna be here, and it quickly made Sabe feel like s**t.
He made a note to himself to talk to Luciano when they got back to a quiet space in HQ.

KD looked around for a moment, and seeing that Johnny was no where in sight, she said, "Sure! I need to pick up some fertilizer at the garden store." Her stomach growled... "and maybe some lunch?"

Koji had been finishing up the last of his art commissions from the time lapse he missed in their last mission. There were marker splotches filling in the lines between the tribal tattoos that covered his arm, a few chunks of paint sticking together clumps of hair, and some pencil smudges across the side of his hand and forearm. When he finally got around to checking the time, he realized he hadn't eaten anything since early that morning and decided to head to the kitchen to see what was left in stock that hadn't spoiled. After throwing on a shirt that wasn't completely covered in miscellaneous color splotches --though his pants had enough to make up for it, and just as man rips-- he headed out of his room and saw Nari and KD down the hall.
"Did someone mention food? If so, I'm in."
