Leo's an alright guy. I've never enjoyed his writing style or anything, but different strokes for different folks. He's at least persistent, and these days seems to have an eye on getting the ball rolling in regards to keeping up persistent roleplay.
I've never been a fan of purple prose, especially if I feel it's forced.. but again, different strokes. If he enjoys writing it, more power to him. I get along well enough with him, and that's enough for me since he and I are probably never going to bump into each other in-character.

@ Vis: I agree, but I have... bad memories of PCers. Mainly the FFA era. So I kneejerk react to reality warpers and their ilk.
@ Vizzle: Leo always came across as a d**k to me, but then again I haven't even seen him for 2-3 years. Maybe I was mistaken. But, I do dislike his purple prose, as I do all purple prose.
...Well maybe Ertai's is passable.

It's not purple prose, let me simplify it:
He's just stoned, directionless and lazy. The posts end up ridiculously long with the topics scattered throughout. Posts should only be long by necessity, not self indulgence.
I don't mind the guy, I'm just trying to prove a point.

No, it is purple prose, and that's not a positive thing. It's generally too wordy, too verbose. It becomes unwieldy. Again, my opinion, but I'd say it fits the definition of purple prose pretty well. A lot of Commerce players have a tendency to overindulge in the use of ten-cent words, as the saying goes, and it unbalances the writing.
Even as you just described it - overly long for self-indulgence - is an identifier of purple prose.
Again, some people like it. Personally? I don't much care for it. But if he likes writing it, and finds people who enjoy reading it.. well, what's it matter? I don't care. Dude can write however he wants, I'll give a s**t if I ever find myself roleplaying with him for any period of time or having to sit down and grade a fight of his, in which case I might comment on it. Otherwise. don't much care. Dude can smoke all the weed he wants and write however he wants.
Fas: I've never known Leo to be overly dickish towards other people, but then again I've only talked to him occasionally over the years.
