like him so much. Man, I cannot WAIT to read that when you're done. I'm actually working on something myself at the time being, but it's probably not going to be too great. I'm actually trying to write a novel and my AP English homework is severely hindering me from working on it. stressed

Pixels lie, Dji is not a guy. xd I think that female artists are really tearing it up in comics right now, and given the chance Dji would too. I'd much rather work with Becky Cloonan or Amanda Connor than a good three quarters of the male artists out there right now. I think I'd probably have a hard time pitching Brotherhood to a male artist anyway, alot of the concepts and the way I want to handle them require the kind of outside(r) perspective that I'd expect from a female artist. *Shrug*
I was actually referring to Toad as a him, I know Dji is a girl. sweatdrop Yeah, I can imagine lots of female artists being far more willing to kind of shift paradigms as opposed to male ones. Any way I can get an exclusive example?

Hm, OK. I'm worried about branching out, as I've heard such bad things about so many X-Men runs.

Also, Fantomex makes me think of G.I. Joe. domokun

I have the same problem. I love the idea of the X-men, and I know tons of other people do too, but it seems like all I ever hear is bad news.

One of the concepts, how you want it handled, and how a female artist could likely portray it in a more apt or meaningful way.

I'm still surprised by the apparent badness of Whedon's run. Although, it seems as though folks don't have a problem with the quality of the writing so much as the plot choices.

Well in terms of things a female artist could do better, the whole idea behind my take on Marrow, a real superhero sexual revolution.

As for envelope pushing in general, there's going to be a seriously loaded racial aspect to it, to mutants as a race and the tension between the Brotherhood and the X-Men. You don't really see that, writing about intermutant relations in terms of being a race. You see human/mutant relations in a basic OMG WE'RE OPPRESSED sort of way, but I'm going to dig in and get dirty about the self identity of mutants as a race.

Me too. Whedon is one of my favorite Television writers ever. I'm just a banter kind of guy.

Kind of like the contemptuous feel that some African Americans feel for those in extremely lofty positions in the social hierarchy while they still struggle to feed themselves?
