*shakes his groove thang in Rex's direction*

Father Blood Drench Robo Crush has had tedious, mind-numbing, and homicidal rage induing work. So I've only doodled random things today.

But Monday! Monday Father Blood Drench Robo Crush will get down to business.

Background research for doing comics can be fairly exhaustive. At least I've rekindled my hero worship for Brian K Vaughan and schoolboy metacrush on me-not-me. whee

Ooooo, research? What would you be researching, fleshy one? surprised

*still needs to find a bloody new-age store to get a book on chaos magic*

PSH! The only doodle that place inspired was when Father Blood Drench Robo Crush was taking tickets for a few hours and I drew a guy dangling above water with a shark in it on the back of my schedule. This I drew tonight, and I designed the little creature months ago. Oekaki is the closest thing to MSPaint, which is a champion doodler program but unaivalable on Mac.

(Movie theater, btw. Concessions today.... stressed )

For Brotherhood, the fan comic I'm doing with Dji. I was going through my issues of Brian K Vaughan's run on the Mystique solo to pick out pages to scan so I could show Dji the definitive Mystique and the angle that we're coming at her from.

xd I was about to say, "Very nice, but WHERE?" I used to want to work at a movie theater, but then I realized what assholes little kids are and threw that idea out the window.

I've got a few angles I could come at her from... Er... Sounds like fun! I still like your Toad model the best. whee

Oh you would too. Have you seen Dji's take on Toad though? We got away from the original Sasha-esque look for a more Britpunk one. I'm still sneaking in a bunch of KMFDM references though. ninja God I love writing his dialogue. Especially when he's drunk.

Tasty. domokun Father Blood Drench Robo Crush has massive issues trying to do that.... first I look for the pictures, but then... then I get sucked in.. start reading... and thirty minutes later, I'm like, "wait, what was I doing?" eek

@Kilowog- They are and they aren't. Mostly it's just fleshy ones in general being asses and standing in one spot for eight hours and burning your BLEEPing hand on the popcorn machine. scream

...plus not getting a lot of sleep. Father Blood Drench Robo Crush is down right crappy without some sleep. neutral

So, um...

I've kindasorta been reading Morrison's New X-Men run, and I, yanno, kindasorta really like it.

So, I'm wondering...

Outside of Grant's run, are there any other stories/writers who tackle Angel/Beak and/or do a decent Emma?

stressed

EDIT: Also, hi.

I have indeed. That's one reason why I started the Dji cult like him so much. Man, I cannot WAIT to read that when you're done. I'm actually working on something myself at the time being, but it's probably not going to be too great. I'm actually trying to write a novel and my AP English homework is severely hindering me from working on it. stressed

Well, that's my impression either way. I dislike little kids. Just, period. And am I the only person on the planet who doesn't think babies are cute?

Can't help you with anything outside Mozza's run I'm afraid. But Fabian Nicieza did a pretty good Emma when the X-Men showed up in the Burnt Offering arc of Cable/Deadpool. Avoid her solo series at all costs. stressed

Pixels lie, Dji is not a guy. xd I think that female artists are really tearing it up in comics right now, and given the chance Dji would too. I'd much rather work with Becky Cloonan or Amanda Connor than a good three quarters of the male artists out there right now. I think I'd probably have a hard time pitching Brotherhood to a male artist anyway, alot of the concepts and the way I want to handle them require the kind of outside(r) perspective that I'd expect from a female artist. *Shrug*
