"Some people build up resistance however, much like some diseases. Influenza doesn't kill half as many people as it used to. If you change how the body responds to the gas we might at least be able to get something long-lasting and preventative rather than curative, something we won't have to worry about whether or not our kin have outlasted the gas themselves. C'mon, can we leave yet?" she changed the topic suddenly. "It's been forever!"

Gwyllion nodded. "He's lucky in that sense... But I think he catches on to more than he lets us know about, you know what I mean?"

"PLEASE! Let's go already!" Eara laughed, tugging on his sleeve. "Please???"

Gwyllion tilted his head. "Wonder what secrets he has?"

Gwyllion shook his head. "Not a snowball's chance in the Sahara of getting him to tell." he agreed. "Not a damn chance at all."

Eara nodded, snatching the antidote and peeking her head out into the hall. "AVAON! C'MERE QUICK!"
The brother didn't take long, but he wasn't necessarily eager either, sauntering up to the doorway. "What, kiddo?"
"Antidote." she answered, tucking it into his hand. "You take this to Ashuri immediately. I have to get initiated."
"You're joining the Fir Darrigs?" Avaon's eyebrows lifted. "Have you thought this through???"
"I'm not being dead weight anymore, here or anywhere." Eara answered. "Besides, the last time I joined some sort of organization, I was taken from my home as a child and kept for a good twenty plus years. I think I can handle it."
"Oh I don't doubt that..." Avaon replied, giving her a quick hug and kissing the top of her head. "You just be careful. Don't want you getting in over your head. What's initiation going to be like?"
"I don't know." she admitted quietly, "But if it involves drinking, I should be fine thanks to you."
Avaon smirked. "Don't mention it kiddo." he chuckled, ruffling her hair. "Yeaaah, you'll be fine. Hell, I'll even help out the Darrigs from time to time. Never know when you'll need something enchanted, like weapons or armor."
"I'm sure that'll be wonderful." Eara agreed. "Love you Vay. Hold down the fort for me."
Avaon snickered. "I've been for centuries! When are you gonna take your post back, eh??"
She only smiled, returning to the room. "Love you Vay. I'll see you later."
"Be safe kiddo."
The fae disappeared down the hall, carrying the antidote to its intended recipient.
Eara crossed her arms and smiled amicably at Julius. "There!" she declared chipperly, "Are you satisfied now Boss?"

Eara laughed as if he was crazy. "Oh, ride with Fir, yes. I absolutely adore the idea of riding at break-neck speeds through iron-infested cities and nearly crashing into everything that moves." she started to frown, seriously considering it.
Was she being sarcastic, or was she starting to get a passion for the open road?
"I always rode horses." she spoke up suddenly, softly. "Honestly, I really don't know. If I ride with you, you'll certainly be more understanding than Fir... But if I ride with Fir again, I can prove I'm not afraid, which is a challenge I'm a bit tempted by."

Gwyllion tilted his head. "Then why don't you have a kid?" he suggested. "Nothing romantic, mind you... But there are ways to have kids without even having sex. The Fianna could live on... Kazuhiko would have a friend... And when the next Hunter came around, things could continue as they should, right??"

Eara nodded. "So I figured. It's about the same with horses, could always tell the riders who weren't sympathetic to their steeds." she mused. "Well what do you think? I try riding with Fir... He'll probably only try to do more stuff to scare me shitless won't he?"

Gwyllion shook his head. "No, as in, directly descended of YOU." he corrected her. "Sperm banks. Things such as that. I'm sure the people here at Capsule Corps could help, or Kazu-kun even. You wouldn't have to find that perfect kid again, he would be right there in front of you---or she, depending."

Gwyllion nodded slowly. "Sometimes one cannot be selfish, however. You said in the act of creating a new hunter," he glanced to Kazuhiko as he said this, "That a Fianna must be present. You are the last, and he is a hunter. Granted, the boy is a special case... But you're a great deal harder to find than another hunter. What happens then?? What if you're not around?? Then what?"


Eara nodded, thinking it over. She half expected Fir to be somewhere eavesdropping---she was beginning to get a weird chill when he was around, the sense of eyes where there shouldn't be.
She was glancing around a lot more often also, trying to pinpoint the energy exactly. "I think I'll ride with Fir." she answered after a while, "Might as well get used to it while I can."

Eara raised an eyebrow. First of all... Fir had obviously been listening.
The other thing she was wondering was whether or not he had actually BEEN in that room to begin with. She was wary of the leader, even if she did trust him.
He was an illusionist after all.
She nodded once, agreeing. "Alright. Where'd you park?"
She seemed to have her nerves under control again. After that first time, she wasn't going to let herself be so easily spooked.

Gwyllion shrugged. "What does that mean to me if I don't know what said arrangements are?" he asked her skeptically. "I mean that is my nephew there. You know in a lot of civilizations the maternal brother is the one taking care of and guiding the kids... Vince and Vay and I take our job very, very seriously. They did so for Eara, and this is Mor's first kid. 'It'll be fine' isn't exactly very reassuring, you know, not that I don't trust you... Far from it. I just can't take such vague answers comfortably."
