Kurai Mori ClaudiaJade Kurai Mori Masquanade Kurai Mori Masquanade Don I totally hear you. That's the bad thing about being in dorm with someone. It's rare that I get some free time to myself. And when I do- it's much cherished. Nice thing about Reed: most of their freshman rooms are divided doubles. So instead of two people in one big room, it's two people in two small rooms. There's barely enough room to walk, but you can shut the door between the rooms. Well my friends are aiming for the apartment dorm next year. Where it's four small rooms, plus a living area and kitchen. Ooh. heart I want to live somewhere like that at least once while I'm in college. sounds great,eh? there have dorms like that here at UNCGreensboro, but that are upwards of $2000 more than a standard, double room. the good thing is upperclassmen can live in standard double rooms that are twice as big as freshmen rooms =D Yikes. o_o; Is it that much more money per person, or does it get split between however many in the apartment?Oops, i overestimated and worded that wrong. its about$2000 do live in the dorm apartments, but only about 1500 to live in regular....i could be wrong though

Well living in the apartment dorms are more expensive, however you do not have to buy a meal plan. Which is required for those who live in the regular dorms. So it would be cheaper to live in the apartment dorms, because I (and almost everyone I know) do not use all of their meal plans.

I live in a place exactly like that and last year I lived in the residence rooms which had two seperate bedrooms and a bathroom for every pair. It only costs me $300 a month for the 4 bedroom place and it's right outside the school. My school's pretty small but one of the top acting school's in Canada. Let's not ignore the fact that it has the lowest tuition fees in Canada as well. I've got it sweet here. ^_^

First of all I'll be losing some of my scholarship, and for any of my friends come with me- will also be losing some of their scholarships. Also Savannah has horrible crime and kind have really bad areas. Every SCAD building, including the residence halls, have pretty good security. I don't want to go room with some total strangers, and would rather go off campus if my friends were with me. But they lack cars so it would have to be near by. And all the apartments near by are either uber expensive, or really cheap and in bad areas.

I may end up waiting a whole year before going to college... not by choice, either.
My mom is getting really hyped up about me graduating and is spending a lot of money for my graduation and my open house. That and my parents are planning on going West for their 25th anniversary, which will cost them a lot. So by the time I graduate, all of our "money" will be wasted on my graduation and parents ******** plans.
Ehh ...

Xero1200 My mother is a very stubborn woman. sweatdrop The real question here is, wha't more important to her, your future or her present? Sorry, I'm a bit cynical today. Bad mood, I'll be fine tomorrow. emo
