Exxos Things have not went well today at all – to the point that... well, I am not saying it. I wish virtual drinks would drown my problems for the night as real ones would. Further I wish I could get together with everyone for drinks and games in person. Though all these problems have afforded me some odd downtimes – so in the last 4 days, I have got some reading done in typical, escapist Exxos style. Aww, that's rough. What have you been reading?

Congrats to Exxos for getting the previous page's winning hand. (two pair; 10s and 8s) I also wish I could buy you and everyone else here a real drink to celebrate. I'm sorry things continue to be so hard. cry Sammirah In terms of my favourite money-waster, I really like those arcades where you play games in exchange for tickets, then cash the tickets in for prizes. Even though you end up sinking like $20 in quarters and only get enough tickets for something that would cost about 50 cents otherwise. It's such a ripoff but I love those places! I hate those places! pirate Mostly because the kids now go to these places for every birthday party they are invited to. I end up following them around, holding all the tickets and pleading with them at the end to PLEASE just make up their minds about which ripoff prizes they want so we could go home. I admit I kinda liked the last prize my daughter picked. It was a giant inflatable T-Rex. Ok.... new page, here's the new house roll.... (current pot 1000) edit: OOH I got 3 of a kind! Highest hand so far.

We could pretend that we're at a bar and feelin' completely sloshed, but how on Gaia could we do the hangover justice?

Sammirah What have you been reading? Knights of the Dinner Table: Bundles of Trouble 21 through 29. On the manga front: Mr. Greaves 1, Noise, Blame!, Negima, Arcana, Nightmares for Sale, Tetragrammation Labyrinth, Chun Chu, Lone Wolf and Cub (hence the avatar), Lady Snowblood, Battle Angel Alita: Last Order, and Portrait of the Vampire. Finished up the H.P. Lovecraft Necronomicon collected works book, the novelizations of the Star Wars Trilogy, reread Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke, and started into rereading Planet of Adventure by Jack Vance yet again. Sindeira We could pretend that we're at a bar and feelin' completely sloshed, but how on Gaia could we do the hangover justice? Notice that there is a new RIG. The headaches and other pains that causes are similar to a hangover but with more anger-vomit.

Camwen Ok.... new page, here's the new house roll.... (current pot 1000) edit: OOH I got 3 of a kind! Highest hand so far. You'll have to keep us up to date, if you don't mind, on who's winning. I'm a fan of HP Lovecraft. The very first story of his read continues to be one of my favourites: The Rats in the Walls. Exxos Sis and my best friend got another cat. They named it Lola... I love that name, mostly because of the Kinks song. My first rat was named Lola.

I think the beauty of getting drunk at a virtual bar is you can skip the hangover rofl @Exxos - they should totally keep the name Lola if it's a boy! 3nodding xd @Sammirah - my daughter is 7 and my son is 12. So when going to those places with my daughter there's more following around, carrying stuff and less having to decide the prize at the end because she mostly wants the biggest thing the tickets will get her. With my son I'm usually just picking him up at the end but I have to go through this excruciating long calculation of how he can get the highest possible number of unique items and use every single ticket. gonk Sindeira currently has the winning hand with 3 10s. If you want to review the rules I posted them on page 521. And you can always find them on the very first post of the Canteen if you scroll down a little. But I'll be sure to keep you updated on how the game is going too. wink humble_gypsy_traveller * beckons the bar maiden* What's your pleasure Gypsy?
