Thats the problem...the only thing NFU's do anymore is shoot at each-other. Its boring. True combat is only grasped when a blade is held by two opponents.

Do you think it possible that the Tapani Empire to still be in control? It said it lasted for 16 generations during the Old Republic, but with no specific time-frame. So I guess we could say it was during this time?

Given the year Shey Tapani took control, the Tapani Empire had collapsed long ago. Its the Tapani Federation now.

Theres Naboo, but I dont think thats what you want.
System spanning empires of the kind you're looking for arent easy to come by. I suggest your own research for better results, as I'm drawing a blank.
Corellia might still be an Empire. Democratic Rule didnt set in untill 312 BBY.
