I was raised on Learning Company games. @_@ *assaulted by memories of catching elves in nets and then answering math problems*

Yeah...
I'm thinking that the reason those memories seem traumatic is the knowledge that when you play, you _have to do it right_ or you are dooming these fictional little dudes.
*is very suggestible and can see how that would have affected her* @_x

I can't either. I've only had a handful of drinks since my 21st birthday.

Alcohol is best eased in to. Most people like wine coolers, mixed drinks, and very very sweet stuff, like delicious Baileys Irish Creame, which I now desire to drink because I thought of it... If you want to enjoy alcoholic drinks, start off with stuff with a low alcohol content and work your way up.
I can't stand super-strong stuff, but most people can't. That's why shots are supposed to be swallowed in one go. But if you're drinking just to get alcohol in you, then that's an entirely different problem.
Soo... what was your first drink?

Trying to take shots of So-Co or Jose Cuervo, hurts. We were playing "I've never" and I had to stop because the taste was making me sick. But putting Chocolate liquor in milk is good. Or Coconut rum in to milk is also good. If I can taste the alcohol, I dun like it.
*Note: I've got up at 5 this morning, and started traveling, I finally got home at 9-ish... and its now 1. I'm not thinking properly, soo.... I'll be back tomarrow sometime to see if I can think properly...*
Edit: Okay... no its now 11ish for me... *gah* I added two hours when my computer hasn't updated its time.

im such a light weight when it comes to alcohol.. i have one or two wine coolers and im ready to sleep. not pass out, but im just relaxed that i can sleep. i usually stick to wine coolers, or hard lemonades, My favorite drink with a "hard" liqueur is Crown and 7up.. Crown is Whiskey.. and the drink is usually made with coke, so its called a Crown and Coke, but the coke would keep me up cuz of the caffeine so we switched to 7up and its just as tasty XD

belated happy birthday, bp! <3
i can't stand the taste of alcohol myself, but the relaxed and buzzed feeling i get afterwards sure is nice.
my first drink was a wine cooler. nowadays i drink zima or smirnoff ice. but once i start tasting the alcohol, i'm all like, blech. when i go to bars, i usually go for cocktails like margaritas, mudslides, and sex on the beach.
when my friend came over to visit last thanksgiving, he left a lot of beer in the fridge. i've been sloo-oowly working my way through them because beer doesn't taste that good to me.
and under certain conditions, i can tolerate white wine.

Pabsst Blue Ribbon is a good beginners beer. Om nom nom.
I was given sips of alcohol for holidays and celebrations while I was growing up, so I got used to it. I was also raised catholic and got communion wine. Also, I live across the river from Ontario, where the drinking age is 19.
The first time I ever got drunk was in Utah. It was on a Geology Club camping trip and we were drinking Vanilla Rum in Dr. Pepper. I ended up talking about multiversal physics for hours while throwing rocks at people because it seemed geologyish. Then I chugged about a gallon of water, emptied my stomach spectacularly, and woke up the next morning feeling perfectly fine.
The second time I got drunk was at a Geological Society of America meeting, where free beer was provided by a local brewery. One of my geology professors was wandering around, asking everyone he ran into if they had any hair gel.
Another time I was drunk (these are actually rare occasions, though this list makes it seem otherwise...), I was coming home from doing geology field work in Maine and had a drink at the airport bar with the professor from above. I only had one beer, but it's effects were multiplied because I unknowingly had sun poisoning.
The LAST time I was drunk, I was at the Las Vegas airport, coming home from the "Wild Wild West" Geology trip I was TAing.
There seems to be a pattern here...
