The rest of the drive he mentally prepared himself for whatever Micha might throw at him. He was bound to have some questions, and even though he wasn't in the greatest of moods he would answer them. Pulling into the garage Samuel cut the engine and gathered his things. He wasn't so pissed off to want to be away from Micha, quite the opposite. He stood by the hood both waiting for the male to get out. His impatience must have been showing as Micha seemed surprised that he had waited for him. When the man was close enough, Samuel reached for his hand again and pulled him toward him. He thought about pulling him in for another embrace, but didn't want to make Micha worry even more. Leaning against the hood, slightly, he held his hand between his own and stared at the space between them. He should say something, anything. Should he apologize first? Samuel opened his mouth, and started to speak. Still unsure, he closed it again, pursing his lips as he was at a loss for words.

He could have easily ignored Micha and gone in without him. He could have even told him to go home, been a jerk, and closed the garage door. But that was unnecessary and would be needlessly rude. He waited patiently for the man to get out before pulling him closer. Samuel was still at a loss for words, but know that he must say something. He couldn’t stay silent all night as it would either annoy or worry Micha, perhaps a little of both. Opening his mouth, Samuel began to speak before closing it again. From the corner of his eye he saw Micha shifting slightly and felt his hand on his shoulder. Samuel sighed softly to himself. ”Sorry.” He said. He had lost count how many times he had apologized today. It seemed to be about all he was good for. Releasing one of his hands, Samuel moved to wrap his arm around the man’s waist, and held him in a light embrace.

If Samuel had truly wanted to be alone he could have left Micha back at the gas station, or more rudely, on the side of the road. However, he knew if he tried something so cruel he would likely never hear from the man again. Or at least not anytime soon. Already, Micha had proven to him how easily he could disappear from his life. How unbothered he was cutting him off at all avenues; phone numbers, addresses, all of them could be gone without him even knowing. Samuel did not want to be left alone like that again. He much rather would have him here than not at all.
As they stood in the garage Samuel was the first to break the silence. He didn't expect any sort of assurance or an apology given back to him. He wasn't even sure exactly what he was apologizing for. It just felt like it needed to be said for all of his behavior within the last half hour. He watched as Micha nodded and moved his arm around his waist. As the man shifted closer, Samuel leaned his forehead against his shoulder. He closed his eyes thinking about how they got in this mess. They were having such a nice morning and then it all went to s**t. He stayed like that for a few minutes then pulled his head back to look up at the man. "Ready to go back inside?" he asked.

Revenge was never really his style, even at his lowest he never once thought to fight back. Perhaps that was the problem with him and why he got hurt a lot. Too much pride and not enough bite. With Micha, he didn't want to fight, at least when he could avoid it. And right now he certainly didn't want to send the male running. He was too tired for that. Apologizing again, he knew it wasn't his turn but he gave it anyway. Samuel held on a little longer, feeling his fingers in his hair. Amazing how something so simple could provide so much comfort. He probably could have stayed like that a little longer were the hood he was leaning on not so uncomfortable.
Pulling back his head, he questioned the male, and watched as Micha then nodded. Letting his arm fall back to his side, he continued to hold Micha's hand as he pushed away from the hood and crossed the room to the side door. Samuel fished his keys from his pocket and inserted it in the lock. Twisting it, he then pushed open the door, and the alarm rang out to their intrusion. He led the way inside and moved towards the panel, punching in the code to disarm. Silence echoed throughout the house as the alarm turned off. He placed his keys and wallet on the table then turned his attention back to Micha.

He didn't think either one of them could handle anymore apologies for the day. Anymore and the word was likely to lose all meaning. Though if Micha wanted to apologize again, he supposed it was his turn now. Although he could not find the words to say right now, he was sure they might come to him later. After he had a bit more time to recover and wasn't feeling so gloomy. As they made their way into the house he made a beeline for the alarm. Like Micha, he wasn't a fan of the noise, but would rather deal with it than to be without it. While this neighborhood was pretty safe, one could never be too careful.
When the alarm was off, he removed his wallet and keys from his pockets once more. Beside him Micha slipped off his shoes and started in the direction of the living room. Samuel didn't mind the room choice. He didn't think the man would want to go back upstairs. Not when things were so indecisive between them. Through the foyer and a little ways down the hall, Samuel flipped on the lights. Everything was much as they left it. He sat down on one side the couch and slouched against the plush pillows. "Wanna watch anything?" he asked politely.

Walking past the foyer, the house seemed more quiet than usual. Samuel did little to add to the noise as they made their way into the living room. He didn't mind hanging out downstairs, if they got into another fight it would be a quicker trip to the door. Flipping on the lights, they each took a spot on the couch. Samuel leaned back against the pillows and stared blankly a moment. He knew that Micha wasn't one for television on a good day, but it seemed like a welcome distraction to them both. As he questioned the male, he watched him soon lean forward to grab the remote and hand it to him. Samuel took the device and aimed it towards the television. The tv soon came on, showing the home screen and list of apps available to them. Like Micha, he hardly cared what they watched and moved down to select the Hulu app.
The logo flashed and soon showed the list of profiles names. Selecting his own, he ignored the first few options presented to him, not really in the mood for a horror movie or a trashy reality show. After a few more clicks he settled on Celebrity Jeopardy. He didn't know if Micha might care for this kind of programming. If not, at least it gave them something other than the sound of their own breathing to listen to. With his selection made, he set the remote aside and adjusted himself so that he were a bit more comfortable.

Sitting beside the male, he took the remote as it was given to him. Samuel wasn’t in the mood for anything that actually required his attention. So that quickly eliminated most drama, horror, anything really with a plot. Even a loose plot comedy felt like too much effort. After a bit of scrolling he selected a game show for them to watch. He had no desire to play along, and he was sure that Micha felt the same. If the man truly hated his choice he was more than welcome to take back the remote and find something else.
Samuel watched mindlessly as the all too familiar theme song played and the contestants were introduced. It wasn’t long before the categories were introduced and the quiz portion of the show began. While he sat there he glanced towards Micha. The way he was slumped against the cushions Samuel wondered how bored he was already. Samuel thought to offer him the remote but he wanted to wait. Let him at least get to the first commercial break.

Game shows were not something that Samuel often sought out in terms of entertainment. He normally would have picked some older tv show or movie. As it was, he wasn’t looking for entertainment just noise. Noise to avoid the thoughts in his head and the louder ones echoing in Micha’s own that threatened to become a conversation. Samuel knew that he couldn’t hide locked away in his head forever. The game show that he picked wasn’t even that long, commercials aside he had only allotted himself a little less than half an hour. As the players on the screen continued to make their way through the lists of questions, Samuel soon shifted on the couch. He took the packet of cigarettes and lighter from his pocket and laid them on the table in front of them. Shifting back, he moved a little closer to Micha, glancing his way from the corner of his eye. The game soon broke for commercial and Samuel turned down the volume a little as a prescription ad started to play. ”How come you never stick around?” he asked, breaking his silence at last.
