Waynebrizzle Meta_Fish Waynebrizzle An assload of people care about SMG, just it's not overhyped like most games nowadays. Metroid Prime 3 was hyped better than this game. Not knocking MP3, but it doesn't do half of the things that SMG does. It truly is a landmark in gaming as we know it. Well then the reviews will be all the better when their expectations are low. So far, they are. One site I've seen gave it a perfect ten. The others were 9.5s.

What makes SMG a landmark Fish? I haven't seen anything that impressive with it.
Something about its hype though is game stores crack jokes at it. When I went to buy it a couple weeks ago the guys behind the counter kept cracking jokes about how I am wasting my time with "s**t" games.

It doesn't even have BLOOM." I hate people like that. @Fish: Good, then. I betcha right now Gamespot will give it an 8.5. They do it with all the good Wii games. In fact, have they given ANY Wii games a 9 or up yet?

When I went to buy it a couple weeks ago the guys behind the counter kept cracking jokes about how I am wasting my time with "s**t" games. Because Wayne doesn't want to know, white text: The gravity! Have you seen Mario running down a hallway, as fire shoots from every direction and the fire sticks are coming at him? He has to go from the ground to the ceiling (!) to dodge them and then back down, all while keeping up a steady pace, and dodging the flying fireballs. Other games have tried the spherical planet thing before, but none have based an entire game around it. Literally, SMG is a spherical planet game. Where we're used to running along mostly flat surfaces, we now will run around spheres, or other odd shaped objects, all while not needing to jump, or worry about falling off. If you jump high enough, you're caught into the gravitational pull of another planet, and land feet first onto it. Remember walking up the wall in the desert stage in SM64? I would just run up and down it for awhile, wishing there was a level that was all ike that. In SMG, not only are there levels, there are bosses that you can walk up.

I can see how that is seen as that. I never thought of the spherical angle like that. Like you said other games have been had things like that, but I never really thought of it as the whole game being based on it. So you are right it really is a landmark. I must see more videos though, I havent seen many more then the ones from last year >_< Either way it will be a great game.
