So yeah... childhood dream achieved. I got a set of armor. Custom made and everything. Took me 2 years to get it together.

It's custom order stylized Corbridge Lorica Segmentata Armor done in a more rounded, sleek style. It is WHITE (the actual metal is white- not like paint or whatever)
I originally bought a set from this smith at our local ren fest. $150 or something crazy low got me the pauldrens, a gorget, bracers, and greaves.
I saved up like crazy and I got the segmentata breastplate.
We talked about the design. I'm kinda tall and lanky so when I do combat (like SCA, Live Action, Fencing Melees, Rapier bouts, ect) I don't like using the shields. Two weapon is more spazzy flailing so I tend to use a buckler/shortsword combo. (or whatever is closest) I got long arms so I can make up for the distance and take the nice little maneuverability increase.
I wanted to retain full, unhindered shoulder movement so it's got some exposed area around my armpits but if they can get it- they deserve it biggrin (Parry 4, parry 6, parry 4, parry 6 rofl )
It's light and fits me like a glove. The whole tailored measurements things works nice. If you don't buy off the shelf stuff (so to speak) it hangs A LOT nicer. Like I think it's between 10-15lbs total weight (without weapons or arming mounts) but it doesn't feel like it. I might have to loose the greaves for combat (I'm not use to them really) unless I go with sword and board.
TLDR: It's white Segmentata. I like it.
