@Mab: LOL. I suppose even nocturnals need to get over their alcohol abuse.
As for the event, I'm kinda getting the hang of it, fighting on the human side right now. Well, not fighting. I mostly just heal. But it's really glitchy. Like, sometimes I'm able to heal, but other times, I'm not. If you were on gaia three years ago, it's like the Vampires vs. Humans fight that was going on. If you weren't...I can try to explain further.
My biggest thing though, is the fact that literally, there has been no plot revealed past the Louie and Ian starting the party. No announcement from Louie apologizing about the werewolves breaking through his vampire's defenses. No announcement saying that we're being attacked. NOTHING.

Maybe they're just being slow. I bet Evil Timmy put a werewolf potion into the punch or something.
But you're right. I was trying to remember what event this reminded me of, but it was the human vs. vampire one. And the one against zombies too... Actually, Halloween seems to involve a lot of fighting. o_o

I think that's why I enjoyed the Overseer vs. the Sentinel so much. There was more to it.
And the plot line showed up immediately.

not to mention that 2k9 was SIMPLER
Click buttons to power stuff up. You get more buttons if you can get ppl to follow you. Repeat until victory
this thing is more like A-run around in forums, click buttons to do stuff, post to be able to click more buttons. Clicking many buttons grants more powerful buttons........profit? B-Same as A but done while running around in the GaiaTowns system. Oh, and the UI is more confusing

Oh, my gosh, not to mention NO HONOR CODE. People attack me when I'm in a thread for actual conversation. It's disgraceful. I have to have open four different threads to post in just to try and get my health up. I have yet to make an attack.

@Mab: 2k9 WAS so much simpler. However there was also a lot of competition and the whole "I'M BETTER THAN YOU ARE LOL ROTFL" noobish stuff to deal with. I'm still trying to piece this year's together. I also have yet to actually try it, but that's what writing stupid papers for school and listening to your family fight and having to cope with it by listening to copious amounts or rock music for three hours will do to you.
@Inu: Disrespectful people are awful. =< They shouldn't be so blasted rude...you're just trying to casually chat with others, right? Where's the harm in that? O.o
If it's too heavily forum-based, I might stay away from it actually...I have issues with the main forums...*slightly antisocial* XD
EDIT: Also, on a more random note, the storyline with 2k9 was cooler and spawned several possible story ideas with countless amounts of people (and our RP, which has sadly gone downhill...but the story ideas still remain! 8D)

It is really complicated. And there's no real guide that I've found. :/
Oh, and you don't actually have to talk to anyone. Someone literally just posts "." And that's fine.

this is why I don't like people.
And why I moved to Reddit, where if someone is being an idiot, you downvote them and nobody ever needs to see their posts. Also, Reddit keeps track of these votes in the form of karma.....bigger is better
Now I shall wax nostalgic

@Inu: Haha, you have? It's strange; I never used to watch any of that stuff as a kid, but upon stumbling across it while watching Nostalgia Critic stuff one night just made me melt. I must admit...I'm a sucker for pairings like that. 83

I don't think Mabo meant to include us in that statement. I have a feeling that his sentiment was more towards the general public, which I can agree can be hard to tolerate.
As for the event, the werewolves are apparently due to some LabCorp tech testing some new GroGain formula. I'm probably not going to play this time due to the heavy focus on the forum stuff... that and lack of coherent instruction... ... ...and my general agreement with Mabo's assessment that the public generally sucks.

Haha I'm sure he didn't. I was just teasing. biggrin
And I can agree with you on the general public...sometimes I want to smack people, they're so stupid...=_=
I'm STILL trying to figure the event out too! I've read guides, explored the area itself, and I've only learned about general levelling up. XD

NO I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT (Red picked it up)
It's just that.....well, I'm antisocial IRL. I find that 80% of people bore me, 10% annoy me, and 5% irk me something fierce. The remaining 5% are weird and a bit antisocial too (and this isn't accounting for politicians, general idiocy, etc))
BUT ON THE INTERNET, especially in the good guilds here and most of Reddit, people are pretty cool overall....and the trolls can be safely smacked without fear of lawsuits out the butt. (and politicians can be safely ignored because they don't know Web)
TBO is a pretty cool dood, yo
