*sets her coffee down, rushes over to where Bruce is laid out on the floor and kneels over him*
Bruce?
*grabs his wrist and checks his pulse*

*Bruce awakens gradually, then blinks up at Betty.* Any other person would make some cheesy remark about Heaven and angels right here.
I'm just wondering if it's really you. And . . . how???
Umm. Is my computer alright?

In all these years looking for you, this is not how I imagined our reunion playing out.
You want to know if I'm "me". Well, sure I am. Do I not look like myself?

To be fair, Earth WAS invaded by Skrulls since the last time I saw you. And apparently, a lot of people we knew were . . . well. Aliens. But . . . *Bruce sits up, then smiles.* I don't think you're one of those. And Joe seemed pretty convinced.
It's just that . . . well, it doesn't matter. *Bruce finally stands up and hugs Betty.*

I can explain all that later. For now, let's just..
*holds onto Bruce tightly*
I'm glad I finally found you.

*Bruce picks up his computer, then takes a seat, pulling Betty's chair out first.*
This place is actually pretty amazing. I THINK if I change again, there are enough people who could handle the big guy. And if not, I've been working on something new.

Really? Me too.
*spreads her papers out on the table*
Also, you're a hard person to track down, dear.

I've been trying to keep a low profile sweatdrop On the upside, at least it's been working.
Anyway. I've been doing a lot of thinking. And "talikng" to my other sides. And I've come to a realization. Maybe a cure isn't the best approach to . . . what I bear. For one thing, nothing to date has permanently worked, anyway. And for another, it seems that there aARE threats that . . . well. That require the Hulk's help.
So, I was thinking of approaching things from a sympotomatic stance. How to sedate the Hulk when he's gone too far, or when the threat has been taken care of.
*Bruce opens his computer, calling for a complex simulation of various medicines and their impact.*

Can you change at will.. or?
*gives him a sad little smile* How much time do we have?

Well. To a point. As long as Joe gets his fair share, he doesn't try to seize control at inopportune times. The green one still takes control when he needs to, but he hasn't for a likngtime. Well, except for those two occassions.
But I really need to get some sleep soon neutral

*As Reed walks in, Bruce sharply draws in breath. Then forcibly keeps his attention on Betty.* Well. I've actually been sleeping in a tent in a nearby campsite sweatdrop Not too high on ammenities, but it's pleasant enough.
