[ Guardian ; Merlin : Disney : Throne Room Buffet ]

The Guardian gave a quiet sigh in resignation.

"Before more is said that may be regretted, you should know," they spoke, their voice cautiously neutral. "He has no recollection of any events of this past week; his memories are as a canvas wiped clean. In his mind and heart, that last thing he's experienced, the last thing he went through, is Earth's fall--and all the carnage that entails."

They paused, seemingly humming in thought. "I had expected concerns, but perhaps not so potent. My... social readings are still lacking. Perhaps it would have been wiser to sit you aside first."

"Er... yes, probably," Merlin chimed in somewhat bashfully, though he kept his eyes trained on both Joe and Joseph.

"Well, all the same, let it be known: the essence of the person who did those acts--indeed, anything you may know or remember about him--is absent," the Guardian continued. "Such was the extent of your purification. To him, you are all strangers."

[Dani :~: Disney :~: Throne Room]

After Noelle’s response Dani went back to her pancakes doing her best to try and cut up pieces and doing the normal thing of putting the food in her mouth. She remained quietly watching until there was suddenly uproar. Her pancakes forgotten as she stared at Louis.

She felt a wave of warm aura run through her body and her immediate reaction was to glare at the Guardian of Light. She was suddenly feeling a lot more vulnerable and these auras, while the intent of being comforting, made her feel on edge. ‘This is not good. ‘ Dani’s focusing quickly on the Guardian. ‘This is just going to give me bad flashbacks. Remember the board game of Paranoia Dani? Where the game forced people to take ‘Happy Pills’ and if you didn’t you were weird or be killed. Remember that Anamorphs book you read fifteen times where the aliens injected the kids with a serum to make them okay as the aliens would do surgery to take their flesh while alive. I am getting the same feeling here. ‘

She loudly heard Joe start to complain about Louis and when she took a second to look in herself to find emotions like Joe did, there were none. After Joe got his feelings out Dani took a second to reach around Noelle and tug on the bottom of his tank top . The intent being to get his attention.

She quietly said to Joe “Do you not believe in second chances? I think knowing them,” Dani pausing to give a very hard look at the Guardian of Light and Merlin, “They did a very hard reset. As much as what I have gathered about Louis I cannot really hate someone. I can understand you are angry at both Louis and Nich; but, Nich was one of the first people do to a combination move with me. We did something awesome against that battle with the bad Rae.”

Dani took a breath to calm herself down to get back on track and whispered again to him. “I guess what I am saying is: I understand you are mad but don’t hate him. Also I don’t like conflict.” Dani finally decided to let go and go back to focusing on what was occurring around the room. Half of the food eaten and forgotten.

[Joseph: Disney: Throne Room]

The male was about to respond to the guardian, but was distracted. Dani got his attention, and he listened to her.

His face got weird as the emotions mixed in him. He didn't want to upset her. But...

He just let out a large breath through his nose, and went quiet. He leaned back in his chair, arms crossed and eyes closed. Perhaps this wasn't the time? Nah, he felt this would be the time, but no point rocking every boat in the harbor right now. Besides, he already said his piece and didn't regret one word.

After all, just because he couldn't remember, didn't mean everyone else was so ready to forget. And Joseph wasn't planning on forgetting any time soon just how much he had felt he was toyed with.

[Nicholas <> Disney Castle <> Throne Room]

The bard turned as the fourth Earthing entered with the Guardian of Light. His brows immediately shot up in surprise, and he instinctively grabbed his knife and held it in a defensive position. He wasn't sure how Louis had come back, but like hell was Nicholas going to stay defenseless. The other Earthlings were staring, yelling, being as threatening as he was, but Nick's mind was racing.

How did he survive his supposed death?
Why was he here after they had just supposedly left him?

What the actual hell was going on!?

The Earthing known as Joseph proceeded to go on a small rant, even calling out Nicholas and how unhappy he was with the bard being there, before finishing about how he wasn't a 'good leader'. Nicholas looked at Joseph, staring totally deadpan before finally uttering a very curt response, dripping with snark. Nick was ready to have his clean slate, if that butthead didn't want to let it go and try to move on, he could be snarky about it too.

"No s**t, you overemotional hothead. Now shut up for a change and have some respect." Turning away from Joseph, he gave a small wave to 'Louis' from his seat. "Well, this is awkward. Welcome to the party table, pretty sure a majority of us are ready to throw down with you even though you have no idea what's going on. Not gonna lie, thought I'd be the most hated one at the table. So... uh... Enjoy the new title, I guess." He shrugged, placing his knife back on the table and crossing one leg over the other. He leaned slightly, his gaze never wandering from 'Louis'.

[Kyla: Disney Castle: Throne Room]

“NO!”

Who said that?

Kyla was suddenly standing and she looked around as if surprised by the next outburst that followed Nick’s statement but then realized she’d been the one who shouted.

And it wasn’t directed at Louis.

Her cheeks turning pink she stood there a beat before pulling away entirely from the table and began to walk.

Making a beeline for the wizards, the Gaurdian, and their escort.

The closer she got, the better it felt. Which helped considering how much she was screaming internally, asking what the bloody hell was she doing. She slowed down, in case her approach looked too menacing.
Then once she closed the distance with their group Kyla raised her eyes to look at Louis, just Louis, probably protectively flanked now by his charges, but she approached non the less.

The artist then made eye contact with the Gaurdian, unable to see their face but hoping they understood her intent.
She was trying to get closer to Louis, she had to-

She wouldn’t hurt him. He had to know this.

“…I-…” her voice broke, and she took a breath, basking in the presence of the light to give her strength to find words again.

“I’m sorry. I can't speak for everyone here but- Th-there’s a lot of feelings inside me right now. I want you to know that seeing you, I know- hate- or anger… that’s not in the mix.” She shook her head, and if given the chance she’s offer a hand to him, and she smiled. She was a strange heartbroken one mingled with simultaneous relief.

"..w.we came to get you and..y-you're here. So... and you're alive and...you're better... so..." she stopped, realizing she was rambling and used her free hand to wipe her face. Took and breath and tried again.

“Besides… i-if what they say is true about you, then you’re feeling p-pretty raw right now yourself right? I saw… I know what happened. The last things you experienced before probably waking up here and it’s probably almost too much to take. It felt that way for most of us. You showed some of us. So...I’m sorry. I'm really... really sorry you had to go through all of that, and wake up to all of this. It's not really fair.”

She felt awkward, but the presence was helping. Otherwise her courage would have failed about now. Still- something about this felt familiar.
If Louis had taken her hand she would lead him to come sit down- slowly, and if his charges allowed.
“S-so..y-you need food right? Regardless how you feel you’ll need something to eat to start feeling any improvement. Come sit-please?”

Surely he wasn't banned from eating right? That's why he was brought up to join them right? Either this was going to end up so wrong, or smooth things a little. If she stood back from the situation- THIS was the BEST outcome they could have wanted for him. Maybe some would argue some guilt over what he'd done but- for a second alternative this wasn't too bad. He was alive.

They'd succeeded in purifying his heart, and now he was back. Just what exactly did they expect was going to happen if his journey started off in darkness? The probability of this reset was very likely. She just had no idea as to how or WHEN he'd show up again, if her prayers were answerd. But they were- so Kyla wasn't going to look this gift horse in the mouth. Besides, this was their biggest problem, their conflicts, their lack of unity... it almost..no- did it kill them?

Suddenly that memory came back, how to felt to die.

Her eyes were shut without realizing. Was he going to back away? Was she acting too weird?!! This was more emotional then she was even comfortable with, but after such events and tempered by the Gaurdian's light she had less control over her emotional projection.
But she knew she couldn't let it start like this. They couldn't start over placing this label on him, they couldn't continue doing what they had to, like this! She knew he'd yet to introduce himself still, but even so, being put on the spot- everyone staring...
Something soft nuzzled her chin...

Ah...
Regardless of how silly she looked, Carbuncle was there.
'thanks..'

[Joseph: Disney: Throne Room]

The male opened his eyes, turning his head to look at Nick. Really? That's how he wanted to act right now?

Joseph closed his eyes(the right one now involuntarily twitching slightly), and went back to his quiet position. No, no use being petty. No use trying to 'win'. Any conversation will probably just result in Joseph being the 'a*****e' or Nicholas being the 'winner'. Hell even by not saying anything, Nicholas could be considered the 'winner'.

Joseph didn't care at this point. If Nicholas didn't like his attitude, Nick could shove it where the sun didn't shine. After all, one thing of helping out didn't fix everything, nor did it erase everything in the past.

[Noelle : Disney Castle : Throne Room]

Noelle almost stood up just as suddenly and aggressively as Joe did, but he kind of did it for her. Instead she sat quietly and stared, her body still but buzzing with energy. She held back the tingle in her fingers calling to her weapon, but only because Yen Sid, Merlin, and the GL seemed to be in on this. Their calm was not hers, though. She felt about as spitfire as Joseph was acting, but she said nothing, even as Dani responded to Joseph's outburst in whispers.

Everyone else's responses were both different and similar, but Kyla's was out of left field. Noelle made an indiscernible face as she watched and listened. She knew that Kyla and Louis had some sort of weird connection, but this wasn't really Louis anymore. Nick and herself also had a weird kind of connection in a not too dissimilar manner, but Kyla was practically professing her love for this guy and Noelle wouldn't be doing the same. The green witch looked across the table at Nick. Definitely wouldn't be doing the same. ******** that guy in particular. In the friendliest way.

Noelle turned her gaze back to Kyla and Not-Louis, her mind going in every which way about the interaction. If anyone were close enough to her, like Joseph and Dani, they might even hear her whisper, "Tropey."

{Bobbi, Demyx, Zell, Nanaki, Yuffie .:. Disney Castle .:. Throne Room}

Bobbi smiled and returned her attention to her plate of breakfast, steadily munching away as she let the pleasant cacophony wash over her. Everyone trickled in, and as more and more people found their spaces on the benches, the volume in the Throne Room rose. Friends were reunited, even. All in all, this was already one of the best mornings Bobbi had enjoyed in a long while, even before this crazy adventure began.

Then again, Bobbi had never particularly enjoyed mornings. She always preferred to lie abed until noon or so, and have breakfast around then. But this was nice, being up and awake and alert right away, surrounded by happy if sleepy friends. She felt the wash of comfortable familiarity, the feeling she'd always associated with "home" as the Guardian emerged from below. She didn't see right away who was with them, but the second she did she felt her stomach plummet just as Dawn choked on her coffee. She absently reached over and whapped Dawn on the back to help with the breathing thing.

Unless she was quite mistaken--and she could be, her memory for faces was only so good--the person with the Guardian, the Fourth Earthling (she capitalized it in her head) was Louis. And she wasn't likely to forget that face any time soon. Not after seeing it seized in a rictus of maniacal laughter, not after that same face had terrorized her very own heart.

The reactions of the others were immediate and unsurprising, but Bobbi found herself torn. A lot had happened between them in the past few days, yes, and very little of it was good. But seeing Louis standing there, beside the Guardian of Light, the very physical embodiment of all that was good, how could she react at all negatively? At least not out loud, or physically, she would keep it locked inside where it would do no accidental harm.

Besides, with what the Guardian had said about Louis not even remembering what had happened, what he had done, Bobbi couldn't find it in her heart to stay angry or hurt. As far as she was concerned, if this new person truly had no memories of those events, then he was not the person who had committed the atrocities she and her friends had been through. To her, memories were part and parcel of who a person was; without the same memories, they could not be the same person.

With a calmness that surprised even her, Bobbi stood from the bench seat she had been enjoying, patted Dawn on the shoulder, and offered a tight if sincere smile to the newcomer.

"As far as I'm concerned, the Louis who caused us so much trouble is dead," she said in a clear, carrying voice. She deliberately looked around the table and locked eyes with anyone who happened to glance at her. For once, she was un-afraid of any push back from her friends, or any conflict that her words might bring about. Maybe it was the Guardian's influence, maybe it was something else, but she felt like she had to say this. "If you don't have his memories, then you are not him. People may argue with me on that, and that's fine. A lot has happened to us, and some scars simply can't be healed. I get that, believe it or not. But like it or not, this person who bears the face of the man that we just killed is here now, and alive. We can give him a second chance, just like we're giving Nick a second chance now."

.:Just like we gave you a second chance in Narnia,:. Bobbi reminded Joseph, privately over the charms. Her mental voice would have come through with no negative emotional overtones, simply a gentle reminder. .:And will do again and again. Doesn't he deserve the same chance?:.

[ Feather : Disney : Throne Room ]

Wow, from 0 to 100 real quick…just like how they normally think life goes.

Alright, Feather just had to stop and think for a bit, stuck between a limbo of what the hell is going on, and the need to suddenly do a surprise whip cream on a plate throw at the newcomer. Taking a sip of tea, Feather started just watches the entire situation fly from one direction to another. Mini Doom Cat Bus Train went back to their lap to take cover, Feather agrees with their summon to hunker down and see the thing blow over.

“Okay, Luke, Song, we are just going to pancake through this. I feel like this is just going to be way too hectic in just a brief moment.”

Feather muttered to their fellow newbies, giving Kyla a wary look before eyes locked over to whoever that guy is. Louis, or new mega ultra super special version EX or something.

Their summon loafed up on their lap as Feather pulled their legs into a cross leg sitting position, sipping tea and scratching the cat bus train’s back, the soft chugging noises it started to make that resembled some sort of purr helped Feather relax slightly from the need to narm super hard. Apparently this guy did some horrible things…Feather had to stop and listen. This guy doesn’t recall anything about it, darn so no point in stabbing them for causing stress for their best friend. Later though, later.

“You okay there?”

Feather had to ask Dawn who just seems to be choking on hot drink. Eyes flickered over to the guy who grabbed a knife; at least someone has the stabbing idea too. Feather twitched slightly though, brain dancing over the thought of their weapon, always ready to go in case things go down.

But as soon as Kyla moved to interact with either dangerous or not dangerous person, Feather almost reactionary needed to go stand beside their best friend. Be dammed this warm light which is supposed to be soothing. However, one MDCBT was sitting on their lap, and holding onto their lap for all dear lord gravity shall make them drop.

“Wroing? Mmuwu, wroing wroing.”

Feather sat back down from the half standing up position reluctantly.

“Fine, gotcha, yeah understood, make sense.”

“Wroing.”

“I’m thinking more like the death by-“

“WROING! Rwwwwrrr.”

Feather looked at their hand from underneath the table, the right side of their scissor weapon death gripped tightly. Probably those on their side of the table and bench could see it. Sighing, Feather made sure the de-poof it before grabbing the mug of tea in front of them and taking a hard swig to try to steel their nerves. Their expression definitely was one familiar to the people who know them. Equipped with heavy sighing and face-palming.

‘God dammit Kyla’

[Joseph: Disney: Throne Room]

The male tensed, then relaxed his body as he realized it was Bobbi talking to him. Not fully, though. Mostly because he was more than well aware of his own 'turning'.

That always burned fresh in his mind, even if it wasn't always at the forefront.

No one is stopping anyone from a second chance. I never said I wouldn't do anything with him. But no need to dance around the issue, and no need to deny fresh wounds or emotions.

Privately to Bobbi, he carefully worded his response, but even in thought it sounded like it came through gritted teeth.

Also I'm very much aware of what I did. What anyone else does is their prerogative, and what I do is mine.

There was a finality in the wording as Joseph ceased continuing the conversation, growing quiet.

[ Song : Disney : Rooms -> Throne Room ]

Song wondered, alarmed. Just a moment ago, she had been contemplating what Joe said about the party when drunk and how to converse with Sora. She had also been grimacing and groaning quietly at Feather's sudden stream of puns and jokes, but all with a smile. That perfect mix of enjoyment and exasperation. Her mind, slowly adapting, was mulling over whether or not to refute Feather's point as best jungler, but just thinking about it made her miss home so much that she probably wouldn't have gone through with it anyways.

Then the guardian of light ascended. Super important. Song expected some sort of change in the pace of the dining hall. She did not, however, expect it to be outrage, anger, shock, and possibly even grief? "What? What?" she asked around, not even sure if it was the guardian or perhaps the rather normal looking kid following behind them. She had heard Feather, but the desire to outwardly express confusion overrode her friend's advice. Even after Joseph's explanation, there was a "What?". It gave her some grasp of the situation, but not enough. She wanted to know more, the plight of the nosy. Guardian explanation, another rhetorical, "What?". At this point, Song wasn't even expecting a direct answer for her what's. Actually, she was receiving plenty of answers. It was a pattern she had fallen into that conveniently expressed her ongoing confusion. Once she started, it was easy enough to keep going.

Someone, Song wasn't sure who, mentioned another name that wasn't Louis and how he was also bad. Cue another, "What?".

It was only after Bobbi spoke that Song consciously ended her stream of "what"s, deciding right then that what she had done was childish and she had let her emotions carry her away. Reflexively, she stared silently at the table, reflecting on her mistake while still keeping tabs on the conversations happening around her. her mind continued to wonder even as it told herself,

Then Feather stood and Song quickly broke her new resolution to stay calm and simply observe. "Ah...," she started but never really finished, wanting to say something about the poor cat bus clinging for dear life. Her hands were out in a sort of cautionary, "calm down" manner. Even when Feather sat down, the hands did not retreat because even though Song wasn't on the right side to see the whole weapon, it still peeked out enough for her to catch it. "Ah...," she tried again, eyes darting warily around the whole room. Thankfully, Mini Doom Cat Bus Train had the situation under control, and even without Song contributing anything helpful to the situation, Feather defused her aggression at least enough to unsummon her weapon.

The "Ah"s weren't for naught, though. During the verbal representation of her mental block, Song had come up with an idea. It had been basically unrelated to what she was trying to think of and was such a... strange course of action that she kind of didn't want to do it. However, if there was one thing she had gotten better at since losing her home, it was working up the guts to initiate greetings. She'd made it a poor display of it so far, but that was because of the numbers and because she sort of just expected to eventually become familiar with everyone over time. Song looked directly at the one who was apparently named Louis. She worried how she would look doing this, but switched on her, attitude and sympathized for the guy. No doubt, she was only able to do that because she hadn't experienced all the terrible things he'd done.

Song stood up from her seat and stepped out of it. The plan had been to go up to Louis and give him a handshake, but she got cold feet right after standing up. Forcing her voice to remain steady and making sure she was smiling throughout, Song gave Louis a greeting wave from where she stood. "Hey, Louis!" she raised her voice even as she doubted her word choice. It wasn't to drown out or even cut through anyone else's voice. She just wanted to make sure he heard and noticed her. "I'm Song," not knowing what else to say, she fell back to a rather standard greeting, "Also new here, so I guess we can be noobs together?". A weak laugh that ended shortly was the perfect death for her already ailing decision to speak up. There was barely any information in what Song chose to say. She hadn't addressed anything about the tension that was thick enough to slice like butter. What she said and the way she spoke was so out of place. She already regretted it, but the idea was that, if Louis wanted, then there was at least one conversation option not about his past that he could turn to. At least, that was what she intended. Once all was said and done, Song accepted her fate,

[[??? : Disney Castle : Throne Room]]

{{Cue: And Then}}

The man stood in place, attempting in the best way he could to hide any emotional reactions from his face. Well that was a thing.

After very nearly jumping out of his skin literally at the sharp outburst that opened the following string of curses, tears, words of caution, words of warning, arguments, sarcastic words of thanks(to which he gave a raised eyebrow and half-smirk as if to say, “Thanks, I guess.”), whispers, and-- was that guy pointing a knife at him? -- heartfelt encouragement, he was left standing face-to-face with a girl wearing a living fur scarf.

She spoke so passionately, stumbling over words, failing to express herself clearly, that he felt a twinge of guilt rise up in him but not for whatever the others were going on about. She expressed concern for his well-being, empathy for what he was going through, having gone through it herself, yet, part of him knew half of what she was saying- like most of the things people were shouting and whispering bitterly around the room- were not meant for him, but Louis. He scratched the line of his collar bone with his thumb beneath the cloth of his hood.

He took a deep breath as others finished their peace and he considered the two offers left before him. He looked to the guardian. Normally, he'd have run- or more aptly described, pleasantly declined and retreated the moment he was able so he could lower his racing heart rate. But, they were there giving off that instinctual encouragement. He smiled softly and returned his gaze to the girl in front of him, “I am actually pretty hungry,” and he shook her hand.

“But first- excuse me for a moment,” the man shifted his eyes and released her hand, looking past the girl's shoulder at everyone else, making eye contact with Song long enough to nod appreciatively.

He locked his hands behind him, placed his feet together, and lifted his chin slightly, giving him the straightest posture possible. Deep breath.

“Good morning everyone,” his voice carried with practice and enthusiasm, even perhaps stepping up an octave to a singsong-y note that promoted a cheerier demeanor as he unclasped his hands and waved with one, the other finding solace in the hem of his jeans pocket, “It's a pleasure to meet you all. I realize it might be tough, given some circumstances I've been... vaguely filled in on, but I want to try and get along with everyone here... eventually. I've been informed many of you are from Earth, like me... which is still a little weird to say... anyway, sorry, first things first, Who Am I and Who I'm Not: My name is Steven. Louis, is my middle name, which I never go by. The only person who uses Louis is my mother, whom only uses it when she's angry and reciting my full name. That said, who I'm not, is whoever this Louis person was. Please do not call me that. It's Steven- with a V. Please don't use Steve, I actually hate that name for a bunch of reasons, but whatever. So yeah, nicknames are fine, just please, nothing derogatory. If you have any questions about me or whatever, I'd be happy to answer them. I look forward to getting to know you all. Thank you for your time and consideration.”

With that, a half bow to the group, and a glance back at the guardian, he smiled at the girl from before, “So what's for breakfast, Miss...?”

[Kyla: Disney Castle: Throne Room]

She felt the eyes on her back and felt like cringing at how stupid she probably looked. Surely people were saying stuff about her- or at least that’s how it felt, that’s how it always felt, and it made her all the more nervous and ashamed, wondering if her actions were truly idiotic…or worse… shallow.

But I really am relieved.

Since when had this ever turned out well? She knew this wasn’t Louis, if what the Guardian said was correct, that person, her friend was dead. How this existence before her worked didn’t exactly make sense right now, but surely in time it will. That’s what the rational side of her thought. The more heartfelt part of her was clinging to what semblance of joy it could connect to.
But overall, it wasn’t entirely fair to place all this emotional baggage on his shoulders. Not from her, or them. Even so, was it wrong to claim some sense of relief that this person, survived?

He was- they were my friend… they were, and they’re gone.

To her relief, the person took her hand, and when she opened her eyes could see at least he wasn’t repulsed by her forwardness. Even more so- he smiled.
He was hungry- good, hungry was good!
She’d be more worried if he wasn’t, but not entirely surprised. After getting from prompt from the Guardian he addressed the others.

He had some choice words to say, and that too brought both sorrow- and relief.

There was a finality in what he said that lifted something from her shoulders she wasn’t entirely sure of. But also a final piece of the puzzle fit into place- the meaning behind the name. He claimed the name they found before in that nightmare, Steven, and stood up for himself. It was a relief as well- he’d be fine. That or he was good at faking it. She wished she had that kind of courage. Looking beyond him to the others, their expressions were less than happy and Kyla turned partially away.
By then Carbuncle began to move, and she instinctively provided some arms for it to climb into. Like a cat, the summons sat there and swished its long fluffy tail back and forth slowly contently.

~See? This person is going to be fine. It will just take time.~

‘ Prompt me to not use the other name, stop me if you can.’

~ I can’t control you Kyla, but I’ll try and let you know.~

‘Maybe just a pinch.’

Faces were how she recognized people, names were harder- and wearing ‘Louis’s’ face was going to trip her up something fierce.

When he turned back to her the artist mustered up a smile which was small at best but an honest one. “Kyla- but you can call me Ka-..er…” and there it was again. So close to the Guardian, the feeling of that disconnect wasn’t so harsh but it was there. She didn’t know why- but she looked past him towards Feather. She looked upset, worried, and that wasn’t right for more reasons than she could figure out.

' Hey- My name is Kyla, but you can call me Kai. It seems easier to remember. Want to play games with me ------r???'

"How fits right??"

“- er, just call me Kyla actually. Otherwise it might cause some confusion in the future to use something else.” She gestured towards the table, “Genie has been cooking up a storm, by the sound of what Feather said- there’s a lot to choose from by traditional breakfast standards.”
She began to walk back, figuring he’d follow, and if prompted she’d offer a chair by herself and Feather if he wanted, assuming he wasn’t entirely welcome elsewhere. She wanted to avoid the childish- unwanted kid on the bus scenario.
How many times did that happen to her?
...enough to know it sucked. This was an impossible situation where they, by choice or fate, were somehow charged with an impossible destiny. Highschool-level bullying could take a hike for now if she could help it.

[ Guardian ; Yen Sid ; Merlin ; Genie ; Kyle : Disney : Throne Room Buffet ]

"Well it's a good thing that wasn't awkward!" Genie said, going back to cooking with more hands than one could feasibly keep track of.

Merlin's face twitched as he resisted a grin, though Yen Sid remained expressionless, watching the group. The Guardian stood silently at the head of the table, looking out at them all.

"Perhaps now would be a good time to follow suit and begin proper introductions," they began, glancing around from beyond their translucent veil; despite its near-transparency, no face could be seen beyond.

Kyle raised his hand awkwardly. "Uh, sure, but, um."

"I don't know that name. Who is that? Who am I? Who... who... who- who- WHO?!"

"Who you are is nobody. You are a shard, less than a shard of a whole man, a corrupted piece of a whole."

"You... can call me that if you like. I'm called a lot of things though... none of them nice."

"You had all the clues. You knew something was wrong, yet you did nothing. Letting me get away with it all. You let me continue manipulating all of them like the simple-minded, pathetic, idiots they are... and you knew in your heart they DESERVED it. Isn't that right, Ah-Jo-Ra~"

"Replica or not, you're still human. Allies... no. Allies are nice, but friends are better. I don't know if replicas can understand it, or appreciate it, but at least you can understand the advantage it brings. What do you say?"

"Am I... evil?"

"I'm not sad... I'm frustrated. You don't need to worry, I won't let this stop me. I don't care what kind of person I was... whoever that person was isn't me, and I refuse to become that again if I can help it."

"Right, then, if that's true, maybe the other me, Louis, he might not actually be evil after all. Just under the manipulation of Mateus to forward whatever his goals are. I mean, if he was evil from the get-go, he wouldn't have had to corrupt anything right? So, I think you're right, we might actually have a chance to turn this around. If you can do to him what you've done for me, maybe, just maybe we can fix him and reverse what Mateus did."

"If only it were so simple for him to have gone to you directly. Mateus made that nearly impossible. He stole memories from the boy, corrupted others... he did the same to entire parts of who the boy was. The pieces that would drive someone to ask for help, to think themselves worth helping were easily the first to go."

"I failed because I stopped fighting. I gave up and thought fighting fate was pointless. You got us here, you made it this far because you fought against fate, you didn't accept things as they were or else I wouldn't be here right now. If you don't want to believe this is the end... don't. Keep hoping for a better end and I'll take my next step forward... hoping too."

"I never much liked goodbyes."

"In that case, how about just see ya later."

Deep green light was softly glowing on his fingertips, which seemed to be tracing themselves down his fingers, his palm, and slowly, slowly encroaching farther down his arm, appearing like rigid circuitry--an obvious build-up.

"Can I be excused for, like, 5 seconds?"

Merlin took one look at the young man and his eyes widened just marginally enough that those at the closest end of the table could see it. "Yes, yes, go take care of--"

Kyle, as a habit he'd all-too-quickly developed, was suddenly just gone.

"--that?"

Less than a second later, there was a deep, low rumble from the Hall of the Cornerstone below, as if a single large firework had gone off miles away. If anyone had been looking to the entrance--the stairwell opened up under the throne proper, which was slid over--they'd have noticed a very brief flash of green light. The rumbling was short-lived, and true to his word, Kyle was just... back in his spot not even 6 seconds after he vanished.

His hair seemed just slightly more windswept than before, but all trace of magic was gone.

"So! Who's first?" he asked, grinning and seemingly having a great morning as he grabbed for his tea mug again.

[ Song : Disney : Rooms -> Throne Room ]

The socially awkward shell pretty much broken after the gutsy, for Song, greeting, she raised a hand. However, it was just a formality, and she didn't raise it to volunteer herself. Without needing any sort of acknowledgement, she quickly asked, "I'd like to volunteer the guy who just tped. Or was that time manip? And, well, I don't really know him, so I guess it's more request than volunteer. By the way, I'm sorry if you already told me your name. I'm really bad at remembering them." She spoke as quickly as she started, with expressions just as fast. She had started speaking with a neutral deadpan, in stark contrast to how strange she thought her request might be, and ended in an anime-style casual apology: one eye squinted close, the other cautiously open, and both hands clapped together in front of her face. Song still stood as she spoke, having had no time to sit down even after the so-thick-I-can't-believe-it's-not-butter event simmered down and sort of concluded.
