Luciano nearly snapped when Sabe said "That's funny", but he held back on the urge and just nodded. ". . . I don't see what's so funny about it. Let's murder someone you love and then we'll see who's laughing." He thought. This wasn't the time to have a sharp tongue no matter how distraught he was.
"It's fine -" He let out, and took a small sip of his coffee. . . And then realized something. "Excuse me?" Luciano said, "Did. . Did you say 'Images'?. . . 'In your head'?"

Sabe cringed at the reminder of what he just saw a few minutes ago. "Yeah. It was horrible. She was just lying there, and..." he said, tracing a large shape near his hairline, "...all of this was missing. I was outside the door listening to you all a few minutes ago ...Sorry, I saw someone in the doorway talking... and heard something about a wake. Then that picture got in my head."
He leaned back in his seat. "And I meant 'funny' as in 'strange'. I don't find torturous things funny," he said. A look of alarm momentarily appeared on his face when he realized what just happened.

Koji was about to question the visions Sabe brought up, but his phone started going off. "Er.. excuse me, I'll be right back." He said, pulling out his mobile and heading into the hallway. "Hello?"
"It's me," Foxi's voice responded from the other end. "I'm parking my bike out front. Should I move it or will it be ok there for now?"
"Oh, I'm sure that's fine. I'll meet you at the door." He hung up the call, then poked his head back into the room. "Foxi's here, I'm going to let her in."

Luciano nodded understandingly at Sabe, now glad that he cleared up the misunderstanding. Before he could go on to let his throughts wander, Koji had poked his head in and informed the men that Foxi had now arrived. Luciano simply nodded and uttered an 'Okay' at Koji and then took a drink of his coffee.
He still couldn't believe that the love of his life was gone. It felt all too sudden. Despite the fact that in a way, he had it coming. . This is what happens when you ******** with time. (( We can time skip to Michelle's funeral, if you guys want? ))

(Time skiiiip! I'm not going to put an awful lot in this post as it's Styk's event, not mine :b )
It was now Friday, and most of the gang was at Michelle's funeral at the Manor, to which they were all invited. The atmosphere there was unnerving, but it served to remind the gang that anyone can die, any time.
Waffle stood near the back, wearing a short crinkled white dress and a buttoned-up black jacket she borrowed from her husband. Sabe opted to stay at HQ, with the reason that he 'needed to calm down and sort something out'. Waffle earlier tried to make him feel guilty for not being there for Luciano, but he hadn't budged; he just wanted to be with her and her only, but he couldn't have that.

The funeral home was almost packed with people; Some from Luciano's side, and others from Michelle's. Luciano stood alone on one side of the room just watching people. Some of Michelle's side of the family he had never met before. . Actually, he had never met any of them. And from the looks of it, they didn't much know each other either. But he could see some of them laughing as though they were friends.
Luciano, who was quite family-oriented himself, could tell that Michelle's family wasn't all that close. At least not as close as his family is.
The more he stared at Michelle's family, the more he realized just how different both of their worlds were. He then looked over at his family and noticed. . Both sides seemed to stay away from each other. At least the older generations, anyway. And this he really didn't like. If Michelle were alive she would force both sides to talk, and mingle with each other. She hated anything having to do with "sticking with your own", because in her mind all Elves were the same.
With this in mind, Luciano began to miss her even more. . .

 "I still think don't think it's right to be wearing black at a funeral." Foxi said, as she walked with Koji up to the funeral home. "My family always wore white...""I know, but there's a different culture up here." Koji explained. Foxi was wearing a pure white dress when he picked her up, it almost looked like she was ready to be married until he gave her his long black coat to wear over it. "It's just that, I wear black every day. It doesn't feel like I'm showing the proper respect.""Well if you had been the only pure white dress in a crowd of black suits, I think the family might have thought the opposite." She shook her head and looked around the room. "It's just strange, that's all.." When her eyes caught sight of Waffle in a similar fashion, she nudged Koji. He nodded as they passed, looking for a seat. [what Koji and Foxi looked like before he gave her his jacket, just for fun: [x][x]]

Luciano talked to a few people, mainly family, when they came over to give him their condolences. After the last group came over to do the same, Luciano spotted Koji and the rest of the group and took a deep breath. Knowing that they were all there seemed to take the edge off, but right now he could use something strong to down; Liquid Courage, they call it.
While looking in Koji's direction, he could see that he had Foxi with him and she was wearing white. Luciano managed to smile a little, but the smile went away once he could hear Ari's voice just across the room, despite all of the chatter.
". . You know, NONE of this would've even happened if she had just listened to me in the first place. I told her that he was going to get her killed one day. What did she say? 'No, Daddy! I'm perfectly safe with him! He would never let anything bad happen to me!' HA! What a load of s**t!!" Ari looked in the direction of Luciano and he said from across the room, "Isn't that right, Luciano?- She was perfectly safe with you, wasn't she? You never let anything bad happen to her! Let's tell her she was right- OH wait! That's right!. . She died in your care!!"
Luciano clenched his jaw, and walked away to go look for the bar. .

Nariana had just arrived in a black pant suit when she overheard Ari's outburst. Irritated at his cruelty, she briskly walked over to him. "I give you my condolences, but you are not the only person hurting here. Please remember that," she said as politely as she could while frowning. Sighing, she walked off to greet the gang.

"Oh really. . .?" Ari said, he alked up to Nariana and he said, walking behind her, not letting her out of his sight "I lost my flesh and blood, for Gaia's sake!! When you've lost something that you created, and loved SO dearly, then you can tell me s**t like that! Am I clear?!"
"Ari. . Please. This is a funeral for your daughter," Horatio said, putting a hand on Ari's shoulder, "Save this for when nobody is in mourning, Ari." Ari grunted as he tore his shoulder from Horatio's hand, "My little girl is gone, Horatio!! My ONLY Daughter!! My Pride and MY Joy!! The only GREAT thing that has ever happened to me!! And it was taken from me because your Grandson-" "- Don't you DARE blame Luciano, Ari Lenchantin!! NOBODY saw this coming!! NOBODY could have predicted something like this great tragedy!! It is NOBODY's fault that she's gone!!! But if you really want to talk about blame here, let's talk about what happened to MY SON twenty years ago!!" Ari suddenly shut his mouth, and tried to hide the fact that he was now nervous, but Horatio stepped up in front of him, "Yes. Let's talk about it. Here. In front of everyone. You know those Vampires that murdered my son?- Yes, it was my brother who had him murdered by that group. . But does everyone in this room know how my brother found the means to do so?" Ari started sweating when he realized that the entire room had fallen dead silent, and he said in almost a whisper, "Horatio. . How many times do I have to tell you that I don't know how -" "- I should be blaming you for my son's death. I should be violently angry at you for the information that you let slip. . But I am not. . . Now stop with your ******** bullshit, and go stand with your wife. . AND your son. ." Ari gave Horatio a small nod, Horatio stopped Ari and said, "After you apologize to this young lady here."

When Ari started yelling at her, Nariana turned around sharply. She opened her mouth momentarily before snapping it shut again. Her nails dug into her palms, though her face was cold and calm. Horatio took over and began speaking, so she remained silent until he was finished. "I...do not need an apology," she said quietly while glaring at the floor. She was furious at Ari for his cruelty toward her boss and friend, sure, but she tried not to show it so much.
(I said an argument between me and you. xD I can't argue after that!)

Oh boy, it's that p***k again, Waffle thought, sneering at Ari from a distance. Then she remembered the last time Ari and his kid showed up at HQ. Bothersome, narcissistic, stubborn, not to mention aggressive. Now that she thought about it, staying home with Sabe seemed like a much better option.
She turned her back to the crowd and crept away to somewhere less tense, and crossed paths with Luciano. Instead of continuing on her way, she walked alongside him. "Found ya," she said, "I figured I'd hang around with you instead of listen to them two air their dirty laundry."

Skotti stood outside the home in the garden area and watched his son run around in the open area while he smoked a quick cigarette. "Oh, Skotti!" said mandi from the doorway leading inside. "s**t! you scared me socks off" he said, started at her sudden presence. "I told you, no more! where are you getting these things? I keep throwing them away!" She scolded. "Dearie! it's a funeral, stressful time and all, hehe" he said dropping it and stepping on it.
Mandi continued to yell at him for a few more minutes while devin giggles at his father.

Once Horatio had walked away, Ari grunted at Nari "This isn't over." After Nari had walked away, Ari stomped off to go outside for a little while.
Luciano nodded after Waffle spoke, and he said "It's alright. . Everyone is upset. I'm sure he didn't really mean any of it. ." Just moments later Raph, dressed up in his Sunday Best, but still wearing his biker boots and his hair sporting the greasy pompador, "Yo, Luciano, 'Ey Waff," He greeted, and then put his arm around Luciano, "I hope you're ignoring my Pop. He's just angry that my sister is gone." Luciano just nodded, and he replied "Don't worry about it."

"Do folks in your family always act like manchildren when something goes wrong?" Waffle asked. She knew she was lumping the behavior of all the Lenchantins together, but it was so tempting. "...you know, like roughing up some guy clueless of where his coworkers are, then beating the s**t out of him when he tells the truth and then rightfully defends himself. Hint hint."
She waited for the question to sink in a little, then added more: "My husband would have showed up 'cause he'd do anything for Luciano, but this time I think he's been scared off by the first time you and Ari met him." Waffle was going to add in a quip about Michelle, but then it wouldn't be fair for Luciano. So she stopped there, waiting for the reaction.
