She smiled, "Thank you Shadow..." she whispered as she dove down and landed softly on the lakes pebbled shore. She set him down and handed him a large cerated saber, "I have one favor to ask of you...." she looked up at him with sad eyes.

Avarice walked into the dinning room and asked for a glass of blood. " Good evening Shadow , did you miss me?" Avarice said giggling.

"Tell me what it is and I will do what I can." he said as he took the saber from Nadea. He did wonder what she was about to ask of him. He was willing to do anything for her at this point since he wouldn't be seeing her again after this.

Nadea took a deep but shaky breath, "I want you to cut off my wings..." she said seriously as she looked up at him, this was to insure her safe return home.

Shadow took a few steps back. He was socked that this was asked of him but he couldn't deny her what she asked. "There is just one thing I need to do before this Nadea." he said as he walked up to her. He held the saber in his left hand. Shadow placed his right hand on the back of Nadea's neck and Kissed Nadea's lips. He held the kiss there for a moment before pulling away and stepping back. "Sorry, I just had to do that." he said as he placed the saber back into his right hand.

Nadea felt like her heart would explode, tears streamed down her cheeks but they weren't out of happiness, rather out of sadness. "You....you could have done that sooner." she whispered as a pink tint exploded across her cheeks as she turned her back to him. She dropped the white robe to the ground and stood there naked, her arms wrapped around her body. "Please....cut them off."she whispered softly, but she was screaming on the inside from all the pain she was experiencing now and soon will be. It had never clicked in her head until the moment he kissed her, she loved him.

"I know I should have Nadea but you know me. Always the idiot." he said as he took a step closer to Nadea. He lifted the saber up, ready to remove her wings with ine swift cut but he couldn't bring it down. Every inch of his being resisted, he didn't want to hurt Nadea but he also couldn't go back on his word. He gritted his teeth and held his breath and finaly managed to bring the blade down and remove her wings with one cut. He was glad that he wouldn't need to cut again, he didn't have it in him to strike again. Shadow let himself breath now as quiet tears fell from his eyes. Harming a friend in this way was the most difficult thing any had ever asked of him before.

riezal sits in a tree holding his sniper rifle " lets see what going on in the manor" then reizal look through his scope to the dinning room and sees shadow and avarice ordering a glass of blood his finger is lightly on the triger" i wonder if i could hit the class?"

"Its ok Shadow...you have a way of waiting for the right moment." she smiled and inhaled deeply, she could feel his hesitancy seeping from him. When he finally brought the blade it took a moment for the pain to explode through her body. A shrill scream pierced the silent night as she fell to her knees, blood gushing from the intentional wounds.

Shadow stabbed the saber into the ground and unclasped his cloack. He kneeled down next to Nadea and wraped her in his cloack. He tried to keep his pain from showing, no one needed to see it. He put an arm around Nadea and pulled her to him. He didn't say a word, all he could do was provide what little comfort he could before she left.

She was shaking violently as she went into shock. A loud screech filled the air as a large shadow flew over the lake. Nadea looked up at the sky and then at Shadow, "It is time for you to go..." she said sadly as she looked back up to him, her pale hand moving up to his face and wiped away his tears. "Do not cry for me....all will be well." she smiled softly at him and kissed his forehead. "Remember me....remember." she smiled and got to her feet, leaving the cloak in his hands as she walked onto the water. Her feet making ripples on the waters surface, "Look away when i finish talking and goodbye until next time..."

Shadow did as Nadea said. He turned away when she finished speaking, he was still on his knees holding the blood soaked cloak in his hands. "I will never forget you Nadea, Your memory is safe with me." he said as tears fell from his eyes once more. He didn't know how he could not cry for her or why she asked him not to. She was a good friend to him and he was loosing friends slowly, one by one. The last part didn't make sense to him though, 'until next time?' he though, the words lingering in his mind. He forced himself to stop thinking and to get onto his feet. He slowly started to walk away.

A soft whisper sounded next to his ear, "I will alway be with you...after all i was your guardian angel." those words were followed by a familiar laughter that drifted quickly away on the wind.

"Yes... you were my gaurdian. It all makes sense dosen't it." he said to the air as he walked back to the mansions grounds. He made a small stop at his crypt. In the central chamber he opened up a stone tomb, the one next to Cassidy's, and placed the bloody cloak inside it before sealing the tomb. This would be the resting place for Nadea's memory, he would always remember the spot were she left. The saber marked that for him. Shadow left the crypt, sealing the doors behind him with heavy wards and walked into the dinning room and sat in his usual chair. With a heavy sigh he lit a cig and stared out of a nearby window.
