Saw an ad on the new episode. Saw a B1 punished for their damn droid humor. That made me laugh. I hate what they've done with the B1's.

Ral especially hates it because of a past experience he had with an OOM unit that was downgraded to a B1 during the clone wars. The group Ral was with picked it up cheep to act as an extra blaster and the thing proved so useful that its owner upgraded it. But using modern components on a 30+ year old battle droid had an unintentional side effect on the droid's personality.
It became calculating, homicidal, became addicted to self modification, played holochess, blasted every blue astromech it saw without a second thought, was physically unable to win a fight against a Mandalorian, and targeted and exterminated endangered biological species for grim enjoyment alone.

That droid made me love those cold heartless killing machines. Why can't they be like in the Clone Wars Cartoon(non-CGI)? Now they just seem incompetent beyond belief. Not that they were the threat of most of the other droids presented, however they did something before.

Well my excuse for Beck's superiority over his kin is that he was origionally OOM-9, a superior model of droid to the B1's.
But I sure would like to se some Republic Commando style B1s.
Maybe in a special halloween episode or something since they're so menacing looking (by comparison).

I find it strange how he was punished, even though it wasn't his fault the control ship was destroyed.
He had the Gungans on full retreat, after all.
