"Yeah, being stuck in the dark like this isn't exactly fun," Kitty swished her now useless wand through the air. sad "I hope Prof. Adonis gets some news to us soon..." she trailed off and glanced at Snowball. The yeti was falling asleep next to Kitty's chair. 4laugh

Hayden nodded in agreement to Kitty. She yawned softly once more as Pepper hopped up in her lap and made herself comfortable. Hayden smiled as she rested her chin in her palm closing her eyes. "I think I will just take a small nap."

Sarah finished rummaging through her napsack and sighed. "Nothing of any use." She heard odd footsteps galloping down the stairs as her cat Link bounded down them and leaped into her lap. Sarah rolled her eyes and pet link. "Did you just wake up and something not feel right?" Link responded by nuzzling her hand, to get her to pet him. "Alright..." Sarah laughed and pet Link behind the ears.

"I guess we're all turning to our pets for company..." Fearless said from her spot at the armchair as she stroke the silky feather of Ping. "Professor Clarion, when do you think we will get out of the common room? I heard some house-elves moving around Hogwarts. Do you think they can actually work their magic here? Their magic is not like ours, right?"

wahmbulance Professor Clairion received word from Adonis on the current situation (refer to the Entrance Hall). She got up from where she was sitting and cleared her throat to address everyone "It seems it is time to move to a safer location. I want everyone to grab a pillow and a blanket. Leave your wands behind since there is no need for any of them."
She made her way into the entrance and tried to find a way to break down the portrait. "This is going to be a pain, but..." She looked at her students, "we need some objects to break down this portrait." She grabbed a log from the cold fireplace and began to chip at the door, "After you have grabbed your pillows and blankets, help me in breaking down this portrait with anything you can find. After that, take whatever weapon you can find [No don't beat your housemates with them!]. This is just in case there are creatures are about and...we don't want our numbers to decrease now do we?"
"After we leave this common room, it will be on lock down. No one is to come back in, are we at an understanding?" She continued to beat the door as she waited for a response.

Kitty listened to Professor Clairion's instructions. 'Well, if the Common Room will be locked down,' she mused, glancing at her sleeping Yeti, 'then its probably safe enough to leave Snowball...and while I'm at it,' Kitty picked up her Gwee and put him down by Snowball. One red eye opened sleepily, then the Gwee snuggled up to the Yeti. Smiling slightly, Kitty left her wand near them too. Then she went up to her dormintory, got her blanket and pillow, came back down, grabbed another log from the cold fireplace, and joined the Head of House in trying break open the portrait.

Hayden sat up and listened to Ann speak, quickly she grabbed headed upstairs to grab her pillow and blanket. She shoved them in her bag and made sure Pepper was with her. When she arrived back downstairs she went towards the portrait, picking up a poker from the fireplace she began to help her head of house chip away at the portrait. "Well this is alot of fun, I feel bad though for the portrait."

"Yeah, I hope the Fat Lady isn't here when we break through," agreed Kitty. "Hey, you're poker made a hole, Hayden! Look, that's the corridor! Well, let's make this hole bigger, Gryffindors!"

Hayden worked with Kitty and Ann to chip away more at the hole that now was formed. Hitting it harder and harder she could make out more of the corridor on the other side. "Whew, I'm so glad this is a team effort."

The professor wiped the sweat from her forehead and gave the other two a smile, "Good work, a few more hits and this baby will be ready for us to climb through. Don't worry about the Fat Lady, I'll have her restored as soon as our magic gets back. For now, keep on with the destruction."

Sarah set Link on the chair as she stood up. "Stay here until I come back down." Sarah went up to her dorm, got her pillow and blanket, and walked back downstairs. She went over to her napsack and pulled out the book she had been reading. She opened it and pulled out her bookmark, folding the page to keep her spot. Her bookmark was a metal one that was strong. It was the best she could come up with. She put her book back in her napsack, put it on her shoulder, as Link hopped up onto her other shoulder. She walked over and started to hit around the hole that was already formed. "If we keep this up, we should be able to get out very soon." she said to Kitty, Ann, and Hayden.

Fearless packed her messenger bag up to the top with a pillow, blanket and pet food, she staggered to the portrait hole carrying her heavy bag. As she couldn't find anything to destroy the portrait with, she decided to hit it with her bag. "Bang, bang, bang" went her bag on the portrait. She felt sorry for the beloved Gryffindor's Fat Lady Portrait. With a sudden big 'BANG', the portrait finally gave way and Fearless made her way outside with other fellow members of Gryffindor.

Zack jumps with a startle, as he had been dozing off. He quickly packed his things. : a quil and parchment. pillow, blanket, and he put his wand inside his pants.
"Professor, if it would be ok with you, i would like permission to keep my wand with me. If by some miracle, the magic starts working, i will have it with me. I dont think it would be any trouble. Right?" Zack asked the professor politely.

The portrait gave way and everyone was allowed to get out of the Common Room. The professor made sure everyone made it out safely and reminded them to take their pillows, blankets, and weapon for their journey.
Zack approached Professor Clairion and asked a question in which she responded, "I know it seems unreasonable, but I'm going to have to ask you to leave your wand behind. The Headmaster is keen on having the students in leaving their wands inside the Common Room. Don't even try to think about sneaking it in since it will be confiscated."
She turned to everyone else, "Now everybody, the Common Room is on lock down. Please do not attempt to go back or stray behind. This is a battle of survival...please bare with me, this is the first blackout in Hogwarts in a very, very long time."

Zack looked at the professor with a blank expression on his face, says,"well alright then, professor," and walks away. He quickly goes to his suit case and pulls out a yo-yo. He runs back and tells the professor," alrighty, I think I'm set!" And walks out the portrait hole with his arms full with his supplies.
