Kara turned the leaves in her hands looking at Serenity curiously before replying, "Well... Miyu is actually a new addition, my son Yue had twins of his own recently so... that's where she came in, and then I adopted Kali," she blushed, "Yes I know... that's another one. I think after Elnara that's fifteen."
It was hard to tell without counting on her fingers now.
"The mer twins grew so now I have teens... well they can't run most of the time, but if Feng could she would bounce on her tail alone," that worried her a bit.

Serenity laughed. "Yes, I suppose that would make for a busy few months," she agreed. She noticed that Kara looked a little lost with the leaves and explained, "This is naekeurtsl - the leaves we ate the last time we were here." She smiled. "I know, it doesn't look like much, but it tastes amazing, and even better when it's cooked."
She wasn't sure if Kara would remember it. Sometimes when one was blind, one didn't worry so much about the names of the foods one ate. The leaves were a dark green, but had light green stalks and veins running through them, and paler green spots all over them.

"Oh.... I remember these were the ones that tasted like a full meal even though they were vegtables," Kara murmured, "And I couldn't explained it only that I really liked it."
It was hard to forget something like that, even if you tasted a lot of things before.

Serenity laughed. "Yes, those ones," she nodded, grinning. "And I figured, you liked them so much, and it's lunch time now, or will be shortly, and you missed breakfast this morning ... why don't we have it for lunch then? And if you want to take some home with you I'm sure you could do that as well."
She laughed again and took a seat on the cave floor, directly beneath where some flowers were growing on the wall. A single plant, three blossoms: one a sunshiney yellow, one a vibrant magenta, and the third a glowing white.

Kara took a seat beside Serenity eyeing the flowers on the walls, it must have been very pretty to be here during the spring she thought to herself. Though she also realized this could be one of the few places were Serenity could stay, which couldn't have been much fun for long periods of time.

Serenity was watching Kara curiously as she ate, though she was doing her best not to do it noticeably. She was curious to know the angel's reactions to seeing these things now, despite the fact that she had been here before. In her own experience, it was amazing to be able see the things she had only felt presences of beforehand.
"Were there any other places you wanted to go?" she asked in a soft voice. "Any other things you wanted to see?"

"I want to know what those swishing sounds were," Kara replied absently as she ate, "I know I can't get near them, but I want to see what they look like," she explained.

Serenity nodded slowly. It wasn't a wise choice for Kara to make, but she wouldn't be the one to tell her no.
"Just be sure to keep your distance from it," she said quietly, soberly. "If it even just brushes against your clothes ..."
Although dunking her might save her ... not that it would be fun, being thrown in a whirlpool.

"But as long as you don't go near it right? You don't need to be that close to be able to see it?"
Kara looked up at Serenity knowing that she wasn't so sure about this. After all, that was what Serenity was trying to get Kara to walk around that one time.

Serenity nodded. "That's true," she agreed. "As long as you don't go near it."
She paused. "But it's about a half a day's journey further - we would have to fly back to make it back to the house before dark. Would that be all right with you?"

Kara nodded slowly, "It's fine, as long as you don't mind carrying me, I still don't know how to fly..."

"Of course not," Serenity laughed. "Just let me know what it's like being a passenger: funny as it may seem, I've flown so many times and never been able to experience it to its fullest."
She finished off her naekeurtsl and leaned back, stretching a bit, as she waited for Kara to finish her lunch.

Kara smiled and nodded as she munched on the last of her naekeurtsl, though she would like to fly. She just hadn't managed to get around to paying that nice dragon a visit back. Quite unfortunately... maybe she should after she goes home.
Getting to her feet she brushed the dirt off her robes, at least it was green so you couldn't tell... for the most part.

Serenity smiled and got to her feet. "All ready, then?" she asked cheerfully, dusting herself off as well. "Or are you still hungry?"
The leaves were delicious and somewhat filling, but then everyone's stomachs were different sizes.

Kara shook her head, "That was a very good lunch," she replied getting ready to follow Serenity to where they were going to be going.
It was a nice light meal, which was something she was more use to.
