*Ran stayed silent as well as they walked. He was deep in thought but could feel a sense of insecurity in Hikari. He looked beside him at her and nudged her with his elbow as he looked forward again* It's just a kiss, quit dwelling on it. *Ran looked at her in the corner of his eye* If you want something to dwell on, I can give it to you. You wouldn't be the first. stare *Ran was a demon that had lived for quite a long time. Which had led to numerous seductions and affairs. However, he knew that Hikari would ignore this comment and probably even hit him again*

(and the long awaited post born of boredom!)

::as November walked, her mind raced. she didn't believe for one second that what Ran had implied was true. Cain wouldn't do that to her, right? conveiently forgetting that she hadn't known Cain long, nor had they been a couple for long and so it really didn't matter all that much what she wanted to believe. it hadn't upset her, the possiblity that Cain might be dating an angel... she would be hurt beyond belief but she would survive. what had upset her was how Cain had acted toward Ran. he had turned his back on a life long friend... just like that, their friendship had ended... true, Ran was a jerk, and true, Cain did at one time love Ran which lead to a whole other mess of doubts. how could Cain have suddenly developed feelings for her right after having his heart crushed by Ran? was she just rebound? as time passed, would he decide that he didn't love her after all and just... drop her like an old toy that had been long outgrowned? did Cain even love Ran in the first place? he had thought he did... he had felt strongly for Ran... but if he didn't, then how could he possibly know if he loved her or if it was just him deceiving himself agian? did he simply like being in "love?" and the bigest doubt of all.... did she love him? she had never loved anyone who wasn't family before. the feelings she had toward her brothers were much diffrent from how she felt toward Cain... her feelings toward Cain had always been diffrent, even when she started gaining more friends. Kouri, Hikari, Ranpha, they were all, in her opinion, her friends and she cared very much about them, but Cain, again, had been diffrent. she had thought it was because Cain had been her first real friend, but then when he, still a she at the time, was in danger, she had felt as though she was sofficating. when she had seen Cain relatively safe and well, she had never felt more relieved. but was that love? did she love her best friend as more than a friend? or was it just very strong caring for him that she was confusing for love? she didn't want to do that to him, she didn't want her own confusion affect him... but... then again, what if they were BOTH tricking themselves? there was a reason she'd never sought out love. it was much too confusing... it didn't help much that she had seen how devestated her father had been after her mother's death. she had very few if any real memories of her mother, but her brothers often told her about the woman, and about how her father had acted when she was alive... and November could tell, just from their descriptions, that her father wasn't the same man. he had been hollow... like a part of him had been stolen when her mother died... did she want to do that to Cain? or have him do it to her? did she even WANT to risk that much of herself? with all these thoughts running through her mind, she didn't realize where she was going until::*THWACK*::she pulled a Hikari and walked into a tree:: owww... ::rubs her forehead::

Cain sighed. "He..likes to hurt me Haruka-chan." He sighed and pulled her over to sit on a bench. He ran his fingers through his hair and a few tears came to his eyes. He put his hands over his face and just let the tears roll, but he refused to sob. "He wants to take everything away from me, because I'm not like him. I don't know how to manipulate people and I can't control my feelings for people. I can't just glare at him for kissing you the way he could if I kissed Kisa. I wouldn't do that since she's like a sister to me and I love November, but, it's the same thing to me. He has someone he loves and he STILL insists on hurting me because I CAN be hurt."

Haruka blinked and frowned slightly and stood up walking behind him and warpped her arms around him from behind her wings coming out covering him resting her cheek against his shoulder.

"Shh...Cain..let it all out...there's no need to bottle up your feelings....Shh.." She tried to comfort him the best way she could and hoped it helped.

She nodded pulling back her wings sitting next to him and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Well...I don't know what to sasy nii-chan...."

She shook her head and offered a smile, "You said a fellow angel was in need? Whats wrong with my fellow angel? Ran-san said something about a..portal?" She cocked her head to one side

Cain looked up at the sky. "An angel that tried to help me is trapped in limbo." He stood slowly, still looking up at the sky. "We must find the original portal that was used to save me." He looked down at her.

Hikari quicklu placed one hand around Ran's neck to hold onto as he flew them quickly around the stairs while her other hand held onto her papers. "...hey I atleast didn't trip on the stairs....I merely lost my balance is all.....but thanks nonetheless...hey ran can I ask you a question..or rather two acutually?" she asked innocently.

"Ok one why did you kiss me and two do you still feel the same way about humans as you used to?" she asked innocently again.
