Sam looked over at Kenji. She shrugged and turned back to Zaan.
"Zaan, ya' still with us?"

(Got it. Zaan's companion isn't going to feature much either...she's a ghoul. Anyway...)
Zaan was deep in conversation with the air, so he didn't even notice his friends join him. "You still owe me, you know..." After a pause, he continued. "Yeah, you do...after that near disaster in..." Another pause. "You nearly got staked! If I hadn't been there to save your a**..." A long pause this time. "Look...just tell me where he is. He hasn't done anything but cause trouble and you know it..." Another long pause followed. "...Thank you. Was that so hard?."
Zaan looked around and noticed his companions. "Oh, hey guys, what's up?"

Sam quickly threw Kenji a worried glance. She quickly poked Zaan in the shoulder to make sure his attention was on them.
"Zaan, are you okay?"

"Zaan, we need to know what we're up against... and you seem to know this person very well. What can you tell us?"
He returned the worried look and tried to ignore the nervousness, waiting for an answer.

Zaan looks at his companions seriously and sighs. "Well...he's my older brother." He considers a moment. "...Sort of. Raina embraced him before me. His name's Kaven...and he nearly destroyed my clan!" Zaan fumes for a moment, then for no reason at all, throws a fireball at an unoffending tree along the road and watches it burn. "Kaven nearly got Raina killed, and then nearly tore the hierarchy apart!"

Kenji stands up and goes about the wagon, still waiting for the response.

Zaan slowly calms down from his temper tantrum. "Kaven's a Tremere, like me. He can do most of what I can, possibly more. He ran away and has been hiding ever since. It's possible he's learned some new tricks and gotten stronger." Zaan cracks his knuckles, a throughly unpleasant sound. "No matter. When I find him..." He leaves it hanging.

"Sounds interesting... fighting someone stronger than you." Kenji smirks at the notion. "I suppose there's only one way to find out." he leaves for a minute and comes back into the wagon, grinning happily. LLetting the horses march forward under Sam's protection, Kenji shows Zaan a small machine on the back of the wagon. He stands Zaan at a point behind the wagon and climbs aboard the machine. The machine rolls along with the wagon, and an illuminated disk flies out of the machine at Zaan.
"This'll be good training!" Kenji yells happily.

Zaan chuckles. "I need to leave it in one piece?" He draws his dagger slowly, and takes a ready stance. When the disc flies toward his head, he parries expertly and flings it away.

Kenji smiles. "They're made of my magic, you can do what you want with 'em!"
Four of the discs shoot out and arc at Zaan in different directions.

Zaan nods and throws a small fireball at the first disc flying toward him from above. He spins 180 degrees and slashes through a second disc, coming up from below toward what was his back. He throws himself to the ground and watches the remaining two discs collide and explode. "Next round?"

Sam quickly set down the reigns and ran to the back where Zaan and Kenji were.
"Just wondering, Zaan.....where should I drive this bad boy to?"
Sam laughed and then quickly looked over her shoulder to make sure the horses weren't running off of the trail.

Zaan spares a glance toward Sam from where he was weaving through a swarm of the magical training discs. "Don't worry about it Sam. ...It's a clan secret. That's why I brought my friend." He nods to the woman accompanying him and she goes to the reins and begins leading the wagon along the path. "For now Sam, why don't you join us? We could spar, or continue with these aides Kenji so graciously provided..." He turns and slices one of the discs in half before a shadow leaps from the ground and crushes another disc in its grasp.

"Sure thing."
Sam jumped in and pulled out her knife. She sliced one in half, and she quickly ducked as another one went flying right at her.
"Isn't as easy as I thought it would be." She gasped,"But then again, The real world isn't always easy...ptcha-"
She hit another one with her knife.

Zaan jumps over one disc flying in low at him, and throws his dagger at one aiming at his now elevated head. Landing with nary a sound from his jump, he raises his hands into a fighting stance. "C'mon Kenji, step it up! I'm getting bored!"
