"I know it's big. That's why I never really said anything about having an idea before." He sighed and put his toe out, erasing the images into plain old dirt.
"I don't know where it came from. It just kind of.. Showed up in my head a few years a go. I kind of like dragons, I guess, but I'm not all into that mythical creature representing strength thing. I mean, if anything should say you're strong, it should be something that actually exists, right? So maybe that's what it is. Only strong in faith, but even then the faith gets consumed by something that doesn't exist."
Tsurai waved his hand and started walking back to Braeden. "Nevermind, It was a stupid idea, anyway. I'd never find the stuff to get inked, anyway. Forget I ever said anything."

Isiah sighed. "It's not a stupid idea, Tsurai. But it's going to be a hard thing to make happen. You might have to wait until things get better." If they get better.. Isiah sighed.
Fallout had a strange effect on humans- it made them lose their ability to think in terms of the future, to think in terms of progress. Tragedy, especially so huge as this, usually killed that instinct, and the focus was changed to immediate needs- food, water, shelter. Nobody thought any further than that, anymore.
When would the frivolous become normal, again? Would it ever? Would there be a time when resources could be wasted, or seemingly wasted, on the unnecessary? When would wants replace needs?
Isiah suddenly became extremely depressed- the short thought process was all ready in motion, every day, eating away at the back of his head, but it had never.. come to the surface as clearly as Tsurai had made it, unintentionally or not. His shoulders slumped downward. "You might have to wait a long time."

"I doubt they'll get better, Isiah. It doesn't matter, anyway. I pretty much knew I'd never get a tattoo. Maybe in another lifetime it'll happen. It's not like I'm gonna die if I don't g-- Erk."
Tsurai had gotten in eyesight of the 'camp' and could see the duffelbag open and raided.
"Oh s**t!" Tsurai yelled at himself. They were already in eyesight of Braeden.
"I'm an idiot!"

Actually, it would be Tsurai's luck that Braeden, after raiding the duffle bag for every lighter and cigarette he could find, had wandered off to be social elsewhere. Isiah followed Tsurai's glances and grumbled something about a lying thieving son-of-a-b***h before heading back toward their little square piece of territory. "Hrg.."

Tsurai ran the rest of the way, searching for the more important things. The food and water was left, thank God, now for the next important thing: The bunsen burner. Tsurai kept searching through the bag, looking for that precious ******** A!" Tsurai couldn't find it. Figured.
"Ugh..!" Tsurai punched the ground with his good arm, leaving it for a few moments before seeming to calm down.
"Serves me right. Tsurai the trusting. Typical. But I can't help but trust every damned person I meet."
Tsurai kept his fist on the ground and just let himself roll onto his back.
"Well. Looking on the bright side, at least he didn't take the food and water."

Isiah flopped onto his rump next to him, grumbling, fishing through to double check. "Guess you're right.. don't worry about it. I'll go over and take it back once it gets dark and quiet."
The fight had given Isiah more of an ego boost than it should have- he was ready to take on Braeden anyway. Stupid old bastardass.

Tsurai growled and sat up. "Don't. Rumors are going around about why you got kicked out of the Denziens. I think Braeden's planning something already. He got his a** handed to him infront of all those people because of you."
Tsurai put his hand to his face, trying to think on how this usually worked where he was. ".. I don't think.. He said you were kicked out so you two wouldn't have to fight on fair terms."
Tsurai scratched his head. Thinking wasn't his best hobby, and this was giving him a headache. He started to realize how cold he was and began shivering again.
"What did you catch when Braeden was talking to that guy in Denzien? Why'd you walk away like that?"

Isiah grunted. "Hell if I know. I didn't want to hear it. I'm trying to forget all of that stupid s**t." He sighed, propping his elbows up on his knees, shaking his head back and forth slowly. "******** Braeden.."

Tsurai swallowed. "Then we should leave if you hate him so much. I'm just causing more trouble hanging out with him."
Tsurai leaned over and zipped up the duffelbag and standing up. "You already slept some, I'm not tired, so let's go."
The eighteen year old, with a groan, put the duffelbag over his good shoulder.

Isiah groaned, his expression going temporarily blank. "Sit down. This is the best deal we're gonna get. One rabbit in the hand." He yanked on the dufflebag, hard, in an attempt to bring Tsurai down on top of his laurels. "I can get over ******** Braeden. And trust me, I can handle anything that old fart dishes out."

"I don't see any rab-AH!" Tsurai fell over ontop of the duffelbag, caught off-balance by the pull.
Tsurai had already been unbalanced anyway, since he couldn't put the heavy bag over both his shoulders; his left arm was still sore and useless.
Tsurai winced and growled a bit at being pulled back, unhooked himself from the maze of straps, and turned to punch Isiah in return for being pushed.
Tsurai's depression was linked with agression, which wasn't good when he was depressed, since he easily got pissed off.
Of course, remembering what Isiah said earlier about trying to quit, Tsurai managed to stop himself from falling onto Isiah after taking the force from his punch by using his right hand to stop his fall.
His green eyes widened, then almost instantaneously contracted. Tsurai was kind of stuck. Body violently shaking from the stress. He didn't want to fall ontop of Isiah, but at the same time, he didn't have enough strength to push off his injured arm, to roll away.
After almost a full second of glaring at Isiah.. Or moreso, through Isiah, since Tsurai was trying not to scream at that point, he simply fainted and fell ontop of Isiah anyway.

Isiah tensed briefly, prepared to take the hit and retaliate without even thinking, when Tsurai collapsed on top of him. He sighed, shaking his head back and forth, picking Tsurai up gingerly, turning him over onto his back to lay on Isiah's lap. "Kid, you okay? You shaking like that is creeping me out.."

Ten minutes. That was all his brain needed. Tsurai was still shaking from cold, but it was barely noticable. His left arm, though, that thing was trembling badly, even after the ten minutes.
The eighteen year old weighed atleast 90 pounds, generously rounding down considering he'd been starving himself. Tsurai had also made a dumb move in stopping himself. Instead of simply punching the ground near Isiah, Tsurai had stopped himself with his other arm. Must have been a reflex. TTsurai was a choke-you-while-I-punch-you type of person.
Regardless, green eyes flickered open, and a groan followed. His whole arm felt like it was on fire, and he slowly got up, his arm complaining the whole way.
He looked over to Isiah. Seeing he was okay, and Tsurai hadn't really hit the man, a sigh of relief washed over the boy. "I think I liked it better when the arm was dead. Now it really hurts... Ugh." He laid back down.

Isiah was somewhat surprised Tsurai didn't make more of a fuss, waking up on top of him like that, even if it was back to front- well.. then again, Tsurai probably would have made MORE of a fuss.. or should have?
Isiah lifted him from his place and set him back down on the ground, groaning. "Stop using it, kid."

In all honesty, Tsurai hadn't realized he was on top of Isiah. And if he had, he probably wouldn't have cared anyway.
"Just.. Trying to hold up my end of not going all punch crazy.. It was a stupid way to land, now that I think about it. My brain needs time to think.. Not this split-second s**t."
Tsurai sighed through his nose and said, "You tired? I know it's dark and I can't really see anything, but if you're not tired.. You, uh.. Still got that book?" Tsurai didn't want to outright say 'hey, teach me how to read', and hoped Isiah would just get the hint.
