Athena looked at the expanse thoughtfully. "I can fly but the rest of you aren't quite so lucky. Maybe I can fly everyone across one by one?"

"That is the best idea that I can think of. Why don't you and Cassandra start off and see how hard it is to maneuver with a passenger and your great wing expanse and let's see if it can work," Hu says thoughtfully.

Blanche nervously looks over at Athena then reaches over and clings Hu Li again instead of Wizard. She looks up at him and squeaks in surprise as her cheeks redden. "Oops sorry."

Athena nodded, wrapping her arms about Cass' slim waist and surging upward, hoping this would work.
Cass gave a small gulp, her hands tightening around Athena's wrist. She wasn't sure about this at all. She preferred to remain landbound, thank you very much!

Athena finds it a little hard to get started, the tips of her wings scraping the sides of the walls. At first it seems like the pair is sinking lower to the spikes, but as they continue, they slowly gain altitude rising further and further to safety. At the very end one of Cass's hands almost slips out of Athena's, but the Angel hurries the last few feet, before letting go of her passenger on safe ground.
The group lets out their collectively held breaths.
Just on the other side of the pit is a metal plate set into the wall with three buttons. Upon closer inspection, the three buttons are labeled: REBOOT, DEFRAG, PURGE.

Cass scans the writing, eyeing the buttons with some misgivings. "Hey, we have some decisions to make here, folks. Who wants me to press a button and who wants me to leave things well enough alone?"
Athena cocks a brow though it is unseen underneath her helm. "We can't just go pressing buttons. We don't know what they mean. They could do anything....."

"I would think the buttons are there for a reason, no?," Hu Li asks.
"Buttons can be, but we've found that buttons can also lead to traps and such as well, so we've got to be careful!"

"REBOOT, DEFRAG, and PURGE," Master Li mutters under his breath. "They mean nothing to me... except purge sounds like something that one does to clean impurities from the body."
Wizard tried not to laugh at his companion.
"Well, I vote that we choose one and I'll back the group on this!"

Blanche gulps. "Well the defrag and purge don't sound that good. And I know that Isis reboots her computer when it is acting up sometimes. But I'm not sure what to do."

Cassandra studied the buttons again. "Purge could mean they get rid of things, but would it be us or the monsters? And somehow defrag doesn't sound good at all....Reboot could set us back to square one." She growled softly. She hated puzzles like this.

"Well, it sounds like none of us like Purge... so that leaves Reboot and Defrag.... I wish I'd studied computers more now!" Wizard shakes his head.
