Yep, that's why I flunked English 10 Honors. Homework requirement was 250 words a night on whatever random topic, no more and no less. You can't say anything in a single paragraph, no more than the hint of an opinion, so I just refused to do it. Spectaular project grades don't compensate enough for a zero on homework.
Seriously, though, I wasn't going to be a journalist. If I wanted to write newspaper articles I would have taken the Newspaper Journalism elective. If I'm going to write an essay, I'm going to write an essay, and if it's 6-13 pages long at minimum that's not my problem.

xd I absolutely abhor journalism. Everyone always asks if I've considered going into journalism and each time they ask I just shudder.

Yep. If journalism means Natoinal Geographic, hell yeah! Bring it on! But that's completely different, those are like short stories, and some of the guest writers are established book authors. Read an article once where I recognized the author's name from HS required reading. Forget what it was, As I Lay Dying? That or the one similar that I forget the name of.

Yeah, National Geographic wouldn't count at all IMO.

I love Nat. Geo. I could be a photojournalist for them. *dreams* Dream job #2, the adventurous one in which a wrong step could get you killed in a place where the streets have no name.
Ahh, it was the other book, then. If I could remember the guy's name, I'd remember the title. Hated the book, actually, but the article had an interesting flavor.
