I couldn't protect you.. :::Sobbing continued...Cora felt like her soul had been twisted into a knot. Was this torture, did she have to face the first person she'd ever failed her entire life::: *Luke basically had to hold Cora up. She was sobbing all over the both of them.* Whoa, back up... Back up. *holds back her shoulders to look at her* What're you talkin about?

*blinks at what appears to be the end of a fight between Tavin and Maggie and a tearful reunion of Cora and Luke*
*looks over his shoulder, noting the lack of a bartender, and decides to not interrupt what appears to be such a delicate situation for the location of a glass. He uses this time to button his jacket so that his katana is hidden, hoping no one saw it before.*

Tell me, Miss Dowling. What in the world do you have to feel sorry for? Seeing what I truly am would be a shock to anyone. That's why I tried to hide it. Besides.... Wouldn't it be much more accurate to say that this is all MY fault? I lied to you after all. I pretended to be something I'm really not. As you can see, I still am lying.

*With that, Tavin walks right past Maggie to the table across the bar, sits down, holds out his hand, materializes the book in it, and continues to read*

It gives my character an oddly unique insight into the behaviour of yours right off the bat. I may not know exactly what happened between you two, but one thing I do know about is hiding who, or perhaps what, you really are. If she really isn't offended by what you really are, and you trust her... do you really want to push her away...?
