Themba jumped up in surprise when Artemis ran in. Themba pulled Ilandere’s crossbow and pointed it to him. When he gave his explanation he lowered the crossbow and stared with wide eyes.
“How did you get here? More importantly how did you not get caught?” he said. He then stepped closer to him and whispered so Saangi would not hear in the other room, “We cannot speak of travelers here. I am Themba, the acolyte of the traveler of Zadaa, Ilandere. Those two are Lily, traveler of Third Earth, and Izzy, traveler from Cloral. How do you know Loor?”

Targeted Mornzara Targeted Bookworm275 Lily flinched when Saangi took her arm. It was bruised pretty badly, but Saangi said it wasn't broken or fractured at all. The girl examined the large handshaped bruise that Saint Dane had left; it was nearly black. When she prodded it gently, Lily cried out and slapped her hand away. ((I am Bob, just on my other profile.)) ((I am confused. Who are you in this RP?)) ((I think Bookworm275 is bob_Henry. The Traveler from Third Earth.)) Oh yeahh. Doh, I'm such an idiot! sweatdrop xd ((Bookworm275 is Bob_Henry. Bob_Henry is Lily, the traveler from 3rd earth. Sorry... didn't know w had new peeps joining, so I was just reminding Je and Cyra.... ^_^))

He sat down calmly, a stark contrast to a few minutes ago. He stared at them all after taking a deep breath. " I got here as all of you have. The city seems to have been deserted so I started this way. I remembered where Loor lived from about three years ago. She trained me. But I did get caught. By three Ghee. In short, I jumped over the first two and tripped the third. I ran on pure adrenaline. But what I want to know, is why am I here?" He turned to Lily. He walked up to her and stared at her. He whispered, " I'm sure you have heard of me. Being from Third Earth, you must have heard of my four books. The Traveler, An Empire at War, The Battlefront on Zadaa, and The World of Ut'thranc. Have you?

Lily stared blankly, then her mind jolted. "I knew that some of this Travler stuff seemed like deja-vu! The Traveler? You wrote The Traveler? That was only one of my favorite files! I... I mean books..."
She paused.
"But... how did you know me?" A thought raced across her mind, and quickly she got up and backed towards her friends. Saint Dane. It could only be Saint Dane.
((I have a question. how do you know so much about being a traveler if you're new to the whole Traveler thing? Unless you were being trained while Jade was, because we did have a Second Earth Traveler before. And if not... then Lily only knew of one Traveler from 2nd earth, Jade))

Unless you were being trained while Jade was, because we did have a Second Earth Traveler before. And if not... then Lily only knew of one Traveler from 2nd earth, Jade)) ((Yes, different Traveler.)) He smiled uncertainly at Lily. Something hit him like a ton of bricks. There was another Second Earth Traveler. Artemis realized that she must think that he was Saint Dane. He started to chuckle. He leaned closer to Lily. " I assure you that I am no Saint Dane. My cousin, Bobby Pendragon, showed me the flumes a couple of years ago. Three years ago I came here to Zadaa. Loor trained me. My nickname from her was Xarda the Vicious. Trust me when I say I am a real Traveler. Why would Saint Dane publish four books?" He leaned on the wall staring at the Third Earth Traveler. He didn't remember seeing Lily when the Third Earth Traveler greeted him, Bobby and his father Press, when they arrived.

There was a noise from the other room and Saangi stepped around the corner.
“What is going on—“ she began.
“Artemis!” Themba exclaimed, stepping close to him. He put his hand on his shoulder and shot him a look that said just follow along. “You’re alright! I thought we had lost you in the tunnels to the other Rokador. Thank goodness you’re safe!”
Saangi stood looking at Artemis quizzically. “Who is this?”
“He was with us in the tunnels before we were attacked.” Themba lied convincingly.
“Why was he not mentioned before?”
“He left us just before we were ambushed. He knew where we would go so he came looking for us.”
Saangi stood and shot Themba a stern look. The lies to her were evident but she didn’t say anything. The only important thing was that they were hurt and this issue needed to be addressed before she would force the truth out of anyone.
“Try to be more quiet,” she said coldly, “Ilandere is still ill. The sedative I gave her will only work under certain conditions and noise is not one of them, especially to someone so sensitive.”
Saangi turned back and left and Themba let out a sigh of relief. He put his back against the wall and slid down it into a sitting position. He looked to Ilandere who still looked very sickly.
“What am I to do?” he mumbled quietly

Scratching his eye patch, Artemis nodded as Themba told about him. He leaned closer to Themba after Saangi left. A look of concern crossed his face.
"What's going on here? Have I come at a bad time?"
He sat down next to Themba.

Izzy sat back against the wall and observed the scene before her. She wasn't so sure that she trusted this guy yet. They had too many run-ins with Saint Dane for her not to be.
But the thing that really bothered her is that there was only supposed to be one Traveler from each Territory. It didn't make much sense that he was from the same Territory as Jade was. If he really is the Traveler...does that mean the Jade was... Dead?
"Let me see your ring!" Izzy said demanded loudly abrubtly standing. She held out her hand expectantly.

Sighing, Artemis pulled out a rope, on which the dull gray of a Travler's ring hung. He held it out to Izzy, waiting for her to take it and examine it.
"Do you believe me now? Or do I have to have more proof that I am not SAINT DANE? If you don't follow me back to the flume. My laptop will comfirm everything."
He glances at each of the Travelers in turn. Waiting for a response.

Izzy roughly grabbed the rope and held it up to exaime.
Maybe he is the real thing. Izzy thought darkly. But that can't mean bode for Jade. She tossed the ring, not caring whether he caught it or not.
"I don't think that will be necessary." Izzy said cooly. "But I would like to know what happened to Jade. The original Traveler from Second Earth." She said sharply. "Press told me there was only supposed to be one from each Territory. When one died, their place was taken by another. Like I for my sister."

Artemis cought his ring, slipped it back on, and sat down again and went into thought. Hm...she must be talking about Jade. Always worried about our territory. I wonder what happened to her. My father did say that there was only supposed to be one Traveler from each territory, but my cousin still lives. How does that figure in?
"She isn't possibly dead. My cousin still lives, and he showed me the flumes, along with my father Press. He might have said that as to confuse Saint Dane."
Artemis shrugged and looked over to Themba.
"I hope he's alright. I don't even know what's happening here. All I got was a note saying come here, and that was it."

Themba sighed and looked to Artemis saying, “I’ll explain things to the best of my knowledge.”
Themba gave a recount of what had happened to him after he became Ilandere’s acolyte. He could not speak for Ilandere or the others about what had happened on Cloral, but told what he knew. He kept his voice low so Saangi would not hear and discontinued the story every time she reentered. Themba was able to speak more freely when Saangi had left to return to her own home and get more things together. It wasn’t a very long recount but relaying all the information made Themba realize just how bad things had been.
“. . . You all must decide where to go next but Ilandere will not leave until she is better and Lily has already agreed to stay until she herself is well also. For the meantime we must make sense of what Saint Dane is trying to do. Ilandere is ill and will sleep but only for now and when she awakens I hope we can find answers.”

Artemis got up calmly and looked at the others.
"I don't know about all of you, but I say we stay here. Saint Dane is here. He's bound to cause trouble here. That we all know. But I don't know how we're going to go about it. We could convince the Tiggens to help us. But...I don't know."
He sighed. The others were looking at him like he was insane. He sat down and grumbled. He thought, Why do I even bother. Oh that's right. He killed my father. Bobby told me of the horrors that Saint Dane can do. I need help beating him. The others think I'm him. It's pointless. I think I should just leave. This isn't worth it.

Lily did beleive that Artemis was not Saint Dane. Despite his abrupt appearance and startling knowledge of her life (still unexplained), she felt like she could trust him.

He leaned his head back against the wall and spaced out. Absently, he took out a cig and was about to light it when he realized that he left his lighter with his laptop. He stuffed his cig back into the box and looked at everyone. They all had a look of worry, no matter how subtle it was. They also seemed to have forgotten him. That wasn't suprising, considering that he blends into a crowd easily. Well, everyone except Lily. She was staring at him with unnerving ferocity.
"Can I help you?"
He took a deep breath and stared back.
