Clean every day, with anti-bacterial soap, and rinse with lukewarm water. Remember to also clean the piercing (Taper) itself. Do some research, talk to piercers, and people who also stretch.

I have 00's, but you can have bigger, or smaller ones than that. 'Metal shop' on Ebay has a great deal on a 00 taper, plus you get a free pair of flesh tunnels alike the ones I have with the purchase. <3
Also: Remember to NOT put acrylic (Plastic) in your ears, until you're fully healed, otherwise you run the risk of infection. Stainless Steel is the way to go, until you're fully healed. Make sure to not buy any plugs, or earrings that have flares at the ends, unless you're fully healed. I almost blew out the back of my earlobe trying to put in my starbreaker plugs the othernight. Bled real bad.
