Fela would go about gathering the items together in a bag she brought, one of those reusable shopping bags which were really popular in Mesagoza, considering how many shops there were and how much people just walked all over the city daily. As she was putting the items away she listened to Tristen and perked up at the question and smiled. "Yeah, I'm okay. Really I should be asking you if you're okay." She said with a slight chuckle before putting the last item in the bag and then slung the bag over her shoulder, turning to face Tristen.

"Don't worry about it, I'll be okay." She said before walking up to Tristen and giving him a quick hug before heading for the door. "I have one more stop to make before class, sorry to rush out on you." She said, opening the door but stopping before passing through, turning her head around to look at Tristen and stare at him a bit before speaking. "I'm glad you're here, Tristen. I'm happy we're friends." With that she turned around and began to walk out the door. "See you later!" She shouted as she walked out leaving Tristen to his own devices. She seemed to be taking it all pretty okay.

Tristen once again was caught a little off guard when Fela gave the Manetric hybrid a hug, something that he only barely got used to when B and E did it out of the blue. Now Fela was doing it. It wasn’t that Tristen minded; maybe it was a cultural difference? Who knows? All the same, Fela’s words put Tristen a bit at ease. He was glad to have friends here too. “Thank you, Fela.” He said. “See you at lunch.” Tristen told her when she left. When the door closes behind her, Tristen sighed a bit, being left to his thoughts. He looked over towards the basket of breakfast empanadas she left. The smell of sausage and cheese within biscuit, at bare minimum. It did smell pretty good. He then took notice to Dragonite where Tristen now realized that Dragonite had been staring at the teen hybrid since the second Fela left with a wry grin. “What?”

“Arroro.” Dragonite stated, nudging Tristen rather playfully. Tristen’s fur managed to keep the blushing covered.

“It’s not like that!” Tristen said, which only gotten a hardy chuckle out of the dragon.

Dragonite and Tristen would have breakfast in Tristen’s dorm, and as soon as he was able, Tristen would then make his way off and get the rest of his Pokémon fed out at the recreation field. Though Tristen had to admit when he was out there having his Pokémon feed, he was a bit nervous. While he made mind to not show it, he kept an eye on anyone that made their way around the field. After having a random fight out of the blue, he didn’t want to be caught off guard again if he can help it. Though now that Tristen thought about it, they did it when they were pretty sure he was alone. A fight out of the blue here would just do nothing more than get the attention of every student and teacher in the class room. Then again, just who knows just how brazen Malva would be. Hopefully Sub can figure something out here soon.

Once the Pokémon were done, Tristen recalls his Pokémon then made his way off for Ms. Tyme’s math class.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:31 pm

Tristen would arrive at Ms. Thyme's math class just fine and on time, no Team Star grunts glaring at him angrily, at least not this time. He'd find Penny and Nemona there like usual, Penny giving him a little wave and Nemona proverbially pouncing on him hitting him up for a battle. Something about a new Pokemon she caught and just finished training and wanted to try it out. Looks like she was never going to let their one-sided rivalry, even offering him a meal voucher at some place called Treasure Eatery.

Regardless of Nemona's obsessive personality the bell would ring and class would start with Ms. Thyme greeting the class and wishing them good morning. Today's class concerned the mathematics of probability with plenty of examples involving Pokemon moves, particularly moves that could incidentally burn or paralyze like Flamethrower and Thunderbolt, among others. Again, something Tristen was familiar with but it was different to get into the actual math of it all.

In time the hour would pass with no homework given out this time, Ms. Thyme being merciful to her students. The bell would ring and she would release the students into the hallways to go to their next class which for Tristen was Language with Mr. Salvatore.

As Tristen arrived in that class he would discover someone in particular had arrived before him; Matteo, the Growlithe hybrid already sitting in his chair and watched as Tristen entered. While he watched Tristen, E. and B. were bombarding him with attention and questions, so much so they didn't notice Tristen enter, unlike Matteo who was laser focused on him.

Tristen once again found himself in Ms. Tyme’s class, and fortunately, no Team Star. A reprieve for the time being. Maybe Tristen stomping on the hybrids got the Star members to give him a very wide berth. One could only hope. Once in class, Tristen would see Nemona and Penny once again and Tristen couldn’t help but to try to decline Nemona’s offer. He just had too much to contend with right now. Stuff that he would withhold from Nemona that Penny very well knew about. And it wasn’t just Fela’s and Tristen’s Spewpa. The class itself would go relatively okay. Tristen would go on as normal, taking the notes he needed, a lot of this he already knew thanks to his battle experience, but it was a little surreal now that he thought about it just getting into the inner workings. Tristen almost wanted to say this was something that maybe would have been in Mr. Jacq’s wheelhouse, not in a math class. Though then again, Tristen did remember there was some sort of overlap between the two. All the same, Tristen remained a bit enthralled in the lesson. The lesson would go on through the entire day, and much to Tristen’s surprise, no homework this go round. That made things just as fine for Tristen. Maybe that would allow him to get to work on Spewpa by chance this afternoon again.

After the class, Tristen would make his way off to Mr. Salvatore’s class for Language. Once he made his way in, Tristen realized he almost forgot about Matteo being in this class. Between him being a no-show for a couple of days, on top of being still somewhat distracted with last night’s events, one could say seeing Matteo in here was a bit of a surprise. The problem is, it was a rather unwelcome one. Matteo was still livid as he glared at the Manetric hybrid. Tristen couldn’t help but to wonder if Matteo did in fact know who he was, but he hadn’t made any move to suggest otherwise that Tristen was fully aware of. As Tristen approached a seat to sit in, Tristen could overhear the twins trying to pester Matteo with all sort of questions, presumably where he has been, how he learned that Flamethrower attack yesterday, and so on. Tristen wasn’t going to try to get involved in any of that if he could help it. Truthfully, maybe Matteo could slip and actually say something to the twins, maybe catch him in some sort of lie. That said, Matteo doesn’t look like he’s up for talking. Figures. Tristen would just sit at his desk and just wait for the class to start. Hopefully sooner than later…
PostPosted: Sun Nov 03, 2024 9:57 am

After Tristen had sat down the twins would notice Tristen had showed up and excitedly turned and waved at him, beginning to move like they were going to rush up to him only for Mr. Salvatore to walk in at that moment and greet the class, causing the twins to quickly take to their seats and giggle as they gave Tristen another little wave before turning their attention to the teacher. Matteo would only break his stare several seconds after Mr. Salvatore began to speak.

Mr. Salvatore would begin today's lesson by revealing they were going to get into the academy required coursework for the rest of the semester that being learning Kalosian. As their nearest neighbor if the students of Paldea learned any foreign language it should be Kalosian, at least that was the academy's point of view. Sure, most people in Kalos spoke the common language but the academy still saw value in studying their neighbor's native language.

They would spend the rest of the class going over some basics and get a bit into numbers before Mr. Salvatore would pass out the homework tonight, a packet of Kalosian numbers, colors, and simple words like common objects. It was a good few pages. With that given out the bell would ring and Mr. Salvatore would release the students to the the best time of day; lunch.

"Hey Tristen! Bye Tristen!" E. shouted as he ran by Tristen.

"Lunch lunch lunch! See you there Tristen!" B. said, following up behind his brother.

Matteo said nothing as he passed by.

Much to Tristen’s chagrin, Matteo was remaining silent around the twins. Tristen expected as such, but it was still slightly annoying. That’s on top of giving Tristen the complete cold shoulder and silent treatment. That said, as Tristen started to pull out his school supplies to start taking notes on todays class, he could practically feel Matteo’s stare bore into the back of Tristen’s head. Tristen practically wished if this was going to come to a head, that Matteo would make the move and get this over with already. Because just giving glares, as Team Star had learned, wasn’t going to do anything to the Manetric hybrid. All the same, Tristen wasn’t going to be rude around the twins, giving a wave to them as Mr. Salvatore made his way into the class.

Tristen would start trying to listen to Mr. Salvatore, trying to take all manner of notes. Tristen started to realize that while he was in Kalos he never really took up the native tongue there either. Never really had any opportunity to. He didn’t really think too much of it since a lot of people tends to speak rather commonly just as any other part of the world that Tristen had been in. Tristen started to realize that as the lesson continued that this lesson was going to be problematic. Even the basics seemed rather confusing. Part of Tristen hoped Larrimore was around to help a little…though considering how Larrimore went into hiding after the massive screw-up he instigated, it was probably going to be a little easier said than done. Homework might take a while tonight.

Class was finally released for lunch, Tristen gave a wave to the twins as they rushed on by, though as Tristen went to get his materials together, he took notice to Matteo who once again made his way off. Tristen sighed a little. Part of him wondered if he was going to be seen at lunch again or not. Or just how home room during the last period of the day was going to turn out. Tristen just shook his head then finally stashed his things, getting up and making his way off out of the class room and off for lunch.

Tristen would make it to the cafeteria like usual and eventually make his way up to Ms. Picante who flashed him a rather small smile for her. "Hey sug, what will it be today?" She asked him. Once she got his ordered she would go about making it and speak to him while doing so. "So I see young Matteo is back..." She said, finishing off the sandwich before turning back to Tristen. "Something seems off with the boy. Be careful around him, chico." She said solemnly, as if she was properly concerned for Tristen when it came to Matteo, for whatever reason.

With that said she would give Tristen a wave as he moved on to get his drink and chips before he was funneled into the cafeteria proper to find a seat. Immediately he would spot the table 'his group' sat at, finding Fela, the twins, Penny, Nemona, and even Matteo all sitting there with open seats for him next to Penny and Nemona. As fate would have it Nemona would jump up and spot Tristen, calling and motioning for him to come over and sit next to her which instigated the twins joining in.

Tristen made his way to the lunch room and got in line. He started to look around to keep an eye on his usual meal group as he has been for the last week and a half now, only for him to see something that actually caught him by surprise, and in some fashion, made his heart sink a little. Matteo was actually with the others now. Nemona being with that group for that matter didn’t even register too much at this point. Tristen felt like lunch wasn’t going to be pleasant for many involved. As Tristen finally made his way to Ms. Picante, he give his usual greeting to the nice lunch lady. “Afternoon, Ms. Picante.” He said to her. As she expressed her concerns, Tristen nodded. “I know. He’s been like this since he showed back up yesterday late afternoon for classes. I think he is still sore about me, but he’s sitting with the others so I really don’t know what’s about to happen now. I will be careful though. Thank you and thanks for the meal.” He said to her. He’d get his order then went down the line to get his chips and drink then made his way off for the others, the twins and Nemona waving him on over.

Tristen made his way to a seat. “Hey everyone.” Tristen said as he sat there between Penny and Nemona. Tristen was a little nervous. That he was aware of, two people in this group knew he was an outright Snagem and one had some sort of hint that he was a part of something. Matteo being gone left a lot of question marks abound and the twins…well…they were the twins. Tristen braced for the proverbial impact. “Everything going alright?” Tristen asked the group.

The group would turn their attention to Tristen and Fela went to speak first however Tristen might be surprised to see that it was Matteo that greeted him first. "Everything's great, in fact we were just talking about you." Matteo said, pulling his canine lips up to reveal a toothy smile. What was this about?

"Nothing bad though!" Fela was quick to to reassure Tristen, looking like she could jump out of her seat. Matteo would give her a brief look before turning his sight back on Tristen.

"Yeah yeah! We were just filling Matteo on everything that has happened since he was gone!" E. spoke up.

"Like how popular you've gotten Tristen! Everyone talks about your Pokemon now!" B. concurred. So that's all it was? That really didn't explain Matteo's 'Meowth that ate the Pidgey' grin.

"...the school's Porycord server is still going wild about the tournament..." Penny mumbled.

In the middle of all that Nemona seemed to twitch until finally she couldn't take it anymore and sprang to her feet, slamming her palms on the table. "I challenge you to a battle!" She said, pointing an almost accusing finger at Tristen. Many surrounding heads would turn to register what was happening, noting who was challenging who. Oh boy.

Matteo would grimace for a brief moment before looking from Nemona to Tristen and then grinned again. "You know, at the academy it's poor form to decline a public challenge to battle." Was he trying to cute? Did he instigate this challenge somehow? But why?

"Don't listen to him, Tristen. That's an old tradition, you don't have to battle. Nemona, please sit down before a teacher scolds us!" Fela would plead but Nemona was just too consumed by battle lust to listen.

From giving the cold shoulder and death glares now trying to be…sociable? Tristen couldn’t help but to wonder what on earth happened within the past…ten minutes as he was trying to get his sandwich from the lunch line. Last he checked, just bringing up Tristen’s popularity only soured his mood as opposed to bringing an awkward grin on his face. Now that he thought about it, he Matteo never really smiled anywhere close to like that as long as he had known him. It was always a dour look out of him at best short of something that he found funny or something that stroked his ego. In fact, much to his chagrin, that sort of grin reminded him of the Zoroark hybrids last night. It unnerved him slightly…

So much so, Nemona springing to her feet made Tristen jump in his seat a little, the champion once again so overly eccentric over a Pokémon battle, catching the Manetric hybrid off guard. Tristen looked around fast, seeing the attention she was getting again and how hell bent she was in trying to get another battle out of Tristen. Tristen was pretty certain that he was going to lose again considering how one sided the clash between her Quaquaval and Dragonite was. And Dragonite still needed some time after the brawl last night. Tristen glanced at Matteo only a moment as he tried to goad Tristen into the battle and despite Fela’s assurances that he didn’t have to go at it, Tristen also realized that Nemona was getting more and more persistent in trying to pull Tristen into a Pokémon battle, her determination in getting a battle out of Tristen, her now number one rival, becoming ever more overbearing. Tristen wished he knew what Matteo was trying to do at this point.

Tristen’s mind thought for a moment. Tristen started to figure just maybe if he can get some sort of idea as to what Matteo is thinking. In fact, if there was a trap to be had, why not spring it, and have one ready of his own? Tristen suddenly had a plan. The Manetric shifted, looking back at Fela. “Mind if I just have a Pokémon battle before we head out to train Spewpa some more?” Tristen asked Fela.
PostPosted: Mon Nov 04, 2024 5:00 pm

Fela sighed as Tristen accepted the battle and then confirmed if it was okay with her, considering they had training to still do after school, Fela just shrugging in response. "It's your decision. I'll be there once you're done." She responded to Tristen, giving Matteo the stink eye as he was the one that instigated all this. Matteo smiled.

Absolutely beam Nemona through her hands into the air and did a little jump out of excitement that Tristen finally accepted her challenge. The champion would then come around the table and give Tristen a great big hug, actually lifting him up off the ground slightly. "Yay! Finally! We're going to battle again! I'm so excited!" She said, letting go of Tristen and taking out her Rotom phone, tapping on it a few times. "I need to get ready! What team will I use? Should I go raise a new Pokemon real quick? Oh I can't wait!" She declared before running out of the cafeteria, leaving her food behind.

"Nemona wait! You forgot your-...oh never mind." Fela said, sighed defeated.

The twins then began to bounce up and down in their seats, chanting the word 'battle' over and over, also excited over the upcoming battle.

Matteo would remain silent and simply go about eating his sandwich, pleased over the little bit of 'chaos' he just sowed.

"...you sure you want to battle her?" Penny spoke up, putting her phone down for a second after speaking that sentence. "It will just draw more attention to you and keep the flames of fame lit."

Tristen couldn't help but to sweatdrop a little as Nemona started to make her way off out of the cafeteria. It was astounding as to how much of a one-track mind the girl actually has about it. "It's fine. A battle or...well...something was probably going to happen one way or another anyways. Though at the very least I wish she would have stayed around long enough for us to talk about what kind of battle to have. I have a couple of other Pokemon that I have been wanting to train and I was thinking that it might be a good opportunity to do that. I guess I'm going to have to go in expecting to go as hard as we did in the tournament. She's in homeroom with us later today, so I guess I can talk to her then about it and maybe tell her to relax a little bit from it after the battle is over." Tristen said. He sighed for a moment as he sunk in his chair a little. "...I guess I can be too nice for my own good."

Tristen, taking note to Matteo's demeanor, figured it was high-time to bring that wry grin upside down. If he was wanting chaos, Tristen was bound to give it to him and maybe in ways Matteo isn't going to care for. "So enough about me for a minute..." he said, turning back in his seat and getting ready to have his sandwich. "...how about you, Matteo? You up and left everyone in suspense for almost three days without a word and then suddenly you're in Ms. Dendra's class showing off a Flamethrower attack. What happened to you? You even had the twins worried for a little while there." Tristen asked the Growlithe hybrid, pointing to B and E. While truthful, it had a underlying purpose. Tristen might not have looked like it, he was ready to pick apart effectively anything that Matteo was going to say. He doubted that he told Fela or the twins at least about anything that went on since he's been back. He wanted to see how much Matteo was going to hide from him, let alone to Fela and the twins. Though Penny was unfortunately probably going to get caught in it, but it was what it was. Maybe she could pick up on something too, though he wasn't going to drag her deep into this if he could help it.

Matteo would look up from his sandwich in mid bite, finishing chewing said bit before answering question. Gently setting the sandwich on the tray and sliding it away from him the young hybrid finally spoke. "I went home for awhile to spend some time with the folks." He began, leaning back in his seat a bit. "My father gave me some pointers on Flamethrower and well...I guess I'm a quick study." He said with a chuckle before turning his attention to the twins, doing a double take as they sat on either side of him.

"They seem fine now." Matteo commented, giving a little shrug. The boys were too pumped up on the battle to happen today to really pay attention to what Tristen and Matteo were talking about, the twins leaning back to talk to each other about Tristen and Nemona's Pokemon and how cool they were. Such sweet innocent youth. "Might want to worry about yourself though, Nemona might break out the big guns this time. Don't want to disappoint your fan base, you know." He grinned.

Fela didn't say anything, she just went about finishing up her sandwich. Penny though seemed to be watching Matteo rather closely, uncharacteristically detached from her phone as she appeared to be analyze him, scowling the while. Was she angry with him or was it something else?

Visiting his family for the past couple of days? Straight after losing the battle in a rather humiliating fashion, deservingly at that? Tristen highly doubted it, especially after on day one he had expressed animosity over his whole family traditions and some such. The only one that seemed to have any interest in him is trying to be more like his father. And go from there and be better than that. Part of him honestly started to think that even if that were true, it wasn’t so much as to seeing to spend time with them as it was that he went home to cry about his battle over the weekend and now he was trying to find some new way of trying to show off being better than Tristen. Never mind the fact that Tristen couldn’t have cared less he tried learning Flamethrower, let alone that Tristen still had him beat in that he packs a pretty hefty Thunderbolt attack, much to the Zoroark hybrids’ discovery last night. Tristen at that point kind of wished that he did have the kind of senses that his adoptive father or Doc Owl sported just out of a blatant curiosity just how much stronger Matteo had gotten over the past three days, or if there was something proverbially rotten going on here. Though considering what he saw yesterday out of Matteo’s demonstration during Ms. Dendra’s class yesterday, it couldn’t have been much, if any, at all.

“Well, I imagine there is only so many times that one can lose to someone else before someone loses their apparent ‘fan base’.” Tristen said. “Though really, I’m not here for a fan base anyways. I never wanted to get famous. Kind of a consequence trying to go as hard as I did during the tournament over the weekend and pushing Nemona to go all out as I did and not wanting to do my Pokémon wrong by throwing battles. I was just fine coming here, learning stuff, meeting people…” Tristen at this point started to notice Penny seemingly paying hard attention at Matteo. Usually, she’d drown out any and all conversation going on as she kept close study on her phone, and even at times just up and leaves completely tunnel visioned in whatever she had going on her device. He almost wondered what got her trying to bottle her emotions up so much right now. He wasn’t going to draw attention to it if he could help it. She knew something that Tristen didn’t. Maybe he could start something after all… “…so I am not really worried about it…though what has me a little worried is I kinda wonder what got you chatty like this now. Especially since yesterday afternoon you looked like you seemed like you were just fine giving me angry looks and leaving before anyone could say anything to you. What was it called? Passive aggressive? Reminds me of Gloria a little. You were even doing that even before the tournament, coming to thinking about it. Anything you want to get off your chest? I’m all ears.” Tristen told Matteo.

Tristen honestly wondered that for someone who talks about being better, if he was going to ‘be better’ by manning up and coming honest. Though honestly? The Manetric hybrid doubted it. Matteo was intent on hiding something, perhaps just as much as Tristen wanted to hide himself being a Snagem. At least Tristen though had an excuse, the Manetric hybrid figured.
PostPosted: Wed Nov 06, 2024 2:33 pm

"Gloria? Pfft! Now you're talking crazy." Matteo scoffed, making a hand waving motioning, as if he wanted to physically wave away the accusation. "The only thing I want to get off my chest is..." He started to say but then took notice of the twins and gave a little scowl before getting up quietly, picking up his tray, and walked around to the other side of the table and leaned into Tristen's ear, Fela giving a concerned look while Penny simple kept her attention locked on him with an emotionless gaze.

"You." He whispered to Tristen before pulling back, showing that wide toothy grin again as they locked eyes before turning his sight on the twins. "Come on guys, you wanted me to show you some more moves right? We can pass through the courtyard on the way to class." With that said he gave Tristen one more look and winked at him as the the twins ran up to his side. With all that said and done the trio would leave the cafeteria, the twins following right after Matteo.

"What in the world was all that about?" Fela asked as she looked towards Tristen. "What did he say to you?" She asked, turning around to see if she could see where Matteo and the boys were but they had already got lost in the crowd. "He sure is acting strange..."

"..." Penny continued to stare at where Matteo once stood, still remaining silent.

Tristen raised an eyebrow when Matteo spoke his intentions and as he left, he took the twins with him. Tristen stared as he left, silent and pensive for just a brief moment before Fela started to question what just happened. “He’s still mad.” Tristen said. “He’s also planning something for sure, but I couldn’t say as to what. Did by chance Nemona come here on her own or did Matteo get her to come over?” he then asked, trying to see if Nemona was part of whatever scheme Matteo has going on. He would then notice Penny now, who was apparently a bit fixated in her own little world, and it didn’t involve her phone still, as if she knew something still. “Penny, are you alright?”
