As she was trying to take her mind off things, her thoughts wandered to the Shieldon..what to namw him.. it was then a sudden spark of inspiration crossed her mind! He could be Li which could mean strength or beauty! Feeling content to have chosen a name, she continued onward down the path.
He should have taken off like a shot. He should have turned and ran at full speed, but he didn't. Hiro's eyes went huge, and a big smile crossed his face. This was a pokemon he knew to be strong. Hungry, but very strong, and it made him smile like a idiot at the sight of it.
"I doubt, you will come with me willingly, and I can't battle you with a pokemon. But, I want you to join my team."
He would see it charging and instead of running he would hold his ground. It was a stupid move, the pokemon would more than likely catch him, but ...pokemon. Hiro wanted to catch it very badly if it was at all possible as the pokemon came at him, and he would slide to avoid the move, but not to get away.
Escape for Hiro at that moment was impossible as his hand would slip into his bag. It would be sticky and juicy, but he would try and grab the berry out. It wasn't much, but it might help bring it to sanity long enough to capture it ...if he could get close enough to stuff it down it's maw.
(Don't feel bad, it's my luck. Though I am wondering if I can capture this pokemon?)

It was surprisingly easy for the Aerodacytl to catch up with the meat in front of it. Not that he cared-- at the moment, his thoughts were almost purely primal. (hungry so hungry meat flesh warm blood warm meat warm hungry hungry HUNGRY) He'd come crashing to a halt in front of the boy, spurs on his wings and clawed feet catching on a crack in the ground. It halted before Hiro, panting heavily. The long tongue lolled out of the dinosaur's mouth, and it's breath reeked of prey's death over a thousand years gone, still fresh in the Aerodactyl's memory.. all inches away from the boy's face.
So what made him pause? Well, he was still tired. And given his size and irrationality, he wasn't used to prey trying to reason with him. Most were smarter than that, but apparently this one wasn't... and that alone was enough to momentarily confuse the Aerodactyl into not automatically latching his sharp, jagged teeth onto Hiro and ripping a piece off. But the trick would only work for a moment, and only once. Slowly, the creature shook himself off, roaring with triumph. Digging his claws into the ground, he prepared to launch himself right onto his fresh meal.

For what was likely so many times she'd lost count, Jin-Hua would be met with confusing sounds in this strange floating land. This time it would be the a sounds of intense bawling and snivelling, the source of which seemed to be a Bonsly. Although it's back was turned to the girl, it was hard not to see the big sopping droplets of water flying away from it's body.

Tao saw as the island came into view. He found the ride to be one of the more serene part of his life. Meren had also seemed to enjoy the ride as well.
Tao would sigh, shifting himself knowing they would be landing soon.
(( Alright so it seems like you understand the gist of it. So just keep posting non-battle posts until you roll an encounter! TAO: needs 10/10 non-battle posts to proceed. O/10 current posts. ))
Foggy Forest
As you step off the boat, the sunshine and bright nature of the ocean ends as you enter the woods. Instead shadows loom overhead casting all sorts of forms and shapes throughout the way. Staying on the brown grassy trail would be wise. Odd as it may be, a thick fog begins to creep up rising from the ground to make sight almost impossible. You must trudge along hoping not to get lost. Silence marks the forest except for the sounds as the leaves and sticks crackle beneath your feet. Beware what could be lurking and what illusions this place may hold. The forest holds secrets and you could be its next victim.
Tao watched as they landed close to a large forest. It seemed to be very dense but luckily there seemed to be a small beaten trail to follow along. He stepped carefully off the boat. "Thank you for taking us here," he said to the Lapras. "Alright, let's go, Meren."
The Mudkip had just jumped off the boat and looked up at her master, ">Yes, let's...<" and closely followed Tao, as he started walking towards the trail.
If Tao remembered correctly, the forest would be filled with a number of bug, grass and normal types along with the occasional ghost or dark type. He'd have to be careful of the grass types, seeing as they would have a type disadvantage against such foes. They continued there ways as they reached the beginning of the trail.

Mudkip [F] Meren, Lv 2 Nature: Timid Bio: Meren was given to Tao just before being shipped off to Akumu academy. She hands a good amount of teamwork to Tao, as she is very obedient, but she never stands up for herself. Her introversion might have been caused by some sort of abuse prior to meeting Tao. Meren is unsure of what to think of Tao so far, since the only experiences they really share is a boat ride and a pokemon battle. Stats: HP:14/14/PP:17/ATK:7/DEF:7/SPD:7/SP-ATK:7/SP-DEF:7 MOVES: - Tackle - Barrier - - EXP: 35/75
He probably should have run then as well, but with it's maw wide open and the fact that instead of eating him whole the pokemon had simply stop in front of him. Well, it was a tempting moment as he would shift the half eaten berrry into his hand.
It's maw was open, it wasn't making a very good show of trying to run away, and he decided now might be a good time to do it. It would stop the attack anyway, or at least he hope as he threw the berry straight at the pokemon. Aiming for it's maw, because there was no way he wanted to miss his target. He just hope that it wasn't going to choke as he sought to stop it's attack by literally feeding it.
Though it would have probably been interesting to watch.

The Aerodactyl just barely missed Hiro-- he lunged forward, but his jaws snapped on thin air, and he lurched awkwardly onto his wings. For a moment, he panted heavily, leaning his head forward as he shook with hunger and tiredness. Perhaps this meat wasn't worth it. Perhaps he should try to find easier prey. Perhaps...
-THWOOSH-
Hiro's half an Oran Berry sailed through the air, but it missed it's mark... somewhat. It did hit the Aerodactyl... but it soared right up his nose. He reeled backwards, breathing hitching and screeching in pain as the berry blocked his nasal passage. He blew, and blew, and--
-HRORK FWHEEE SNOOOOORT-
The berry sailed back through the air at Hiro, smacking him right in the face and sticking to him thanks to a thick, greenish goo that had come out of the Aerodactyl's nose. Apparently, his "gift" had been rejected... and had, in fact, backfired.
[AERODACTYL HAS BEEN ENRAGED! OUTROLL HIM ONCE MORE TO ESCAPE! AERODACTYL HAS -3 TO ACCURACY!]

>MRBLE.< Vorpal was starting to regret attacking the Blitzle-- they were going nowhere fast. At Alice's command, he'd try a Shadow Sneak once more.
It was odd as the boy began taking his first steps into the forest, he would see that a strange fog would start spreading and everything would be hard to see. Then out of nowhere was a small hissing sound. What was that? Where had it come from? No one knew. As the pokemon began to solidify the boy would see it was a Cherubi... but it had a very odd aura to it... It stared at him with a creepy smile standing directly in his path, not willing to move. It looked like this would be their first battle!
Cherubi [F] Lv 2 Nature: Gentle
Special Status: Vampire Forme - Whenever this Pokemon's HP falls below 1/4 she will temporarily learn the move Leech Life until returned to 1/2 HP. While in this form takes 2 DMG each turn during Sunny Day. Stats: HP:14/PP:18/ATK:7/DEF:6/SPD:7/SP-ATK:8/SP-DEF:7 MOVES: - Sweet Scent - Razor Leaf - Tackle EXP: 0/100
That was one way to get your berry back ...as the splatter and slimed boy would reach up on his face to receive his gift back in a way that ....made even him feel a bit greenish around the gills. The half eaten berry would literally stick to his hand as it came away still attached to the green gooey and he wasn't exactly sure if he should put it back in his bag.
Then again....maybe, he could do something with a snotty half eaten berry later on ...as he places it back in the bag with a shiver.
That was gross, and now on top of everything that had happen to him ....he really ...really wanted a bath. This day ...this moment...would have to be written in his book as an epic fail as he looked at himself and then at the Aerodactyl.
Maybe, this pokemon wasn't worth it.
It was almost hilarious that the two would mirror each other in throught .....as Hiro finally figured he had met his match in this one, and went to walk away.
"That was a bit uncalled for? Don't you think?"
"If you didn't want the berry you could have just caught it and put it on the ground, but stuff it up your nose and shot it back is gross."
He actually asked the pokemon as he started to walk away looking at it from over his shoulder.The delusional boy refused to acknowledged that his aim was off, because the world's greatest trainer never missed. Hiro also didn't acknowledge that the place he was walking towards was a very sharp decline, and thus, he would simply disappear as he would find himself falling/running away from the pokemon.

The two were wandering down the path when she heard an odd noise. A pokemon was in the path and it was... crying? Was there danger around? Would she live to regret this? She motioned to Longwei to try and talk to the pokemon to see if they could help...
The Houndour approached the crying Bonsly and gently tapped it to get it's attention. ">What's wrong? Can we help you?<"
...And speak of the devil. A grass-type right off the start. Tao found it strange that it appeared out of the blue like that but, this was his first time ever seeing a cherubi, or even walk down a forest trail. Maybe that's how usually are? He shook himself from that train of thought. Now wasn't the time for that. He weighed his options carefully and then quickly came to the conclusion that if that pokemon knows a grass-type move, which it surely could, it could easily blow away Meren in one hit. "Alright, Meren. We're outa here!" He picked up the suprised Meren and jumped into the bush beside the trail. He decided he would regret the decision later but he definitely didn't like the alternative. Seeing as Meren was obviously being manhandled by its trainer so suddenly. It made a face of utter surprise as it all happened.
(I am not familiar on running away in this battle system. Is it okay if I ask you about that?)
