Shinichi winced as he hit the floor, hard. If this were a simple taijutsu match where he could dodge, this wouldn't have happened. However, honing in on one's skills was the best way to train anyways. Still... He pushed himself off the floor by his elbows and took a few steps backwards. Nodding, Shinichi motioned for Kohki to attack him again.

Kohki nodded, and charged. He made a fist that if it hit, it would hit Shinichi's stomach.

He bent his knees and braced for either the impact or the perfect time to run. So far, he had only been too late, but with perfect timing, all those flaws can be redressed. Shinichi put his left foot forwards and launched himself towards the bamboo pile, hoping to do a quick swap before the fist collided with his flesh.

After a stealthy slide and switch, Shinichi got himself into a high position where he could drop kick Kohki-san. He extended a foot forwards and aimed for the boy's head. Surely there was a way for this fight to work without him going on the offense, but this provided more training for both parties.

Missed again... Kohki thought as his fist hit the bundle of bamboo .. at least Im helping him.. which is my original mission..
He waited to see where Shinichi would appear.

As soon as Kohki saw Shinichi, it was too late. He got smacked on the head, making him fall. He stood up and rubbed the back of his head.
He's good... he thought.

Shinichi felt his foot collide with Kohki-san's head and the pressure dig in. His blows had never been very powerful, but was it right to be attacking the person who agreed to help him with his training? It didn't matter at the moment though, as Shinichi waited to see how much pain he had caused his opponent.

Shinichi's punch had truly hurt, but it didn't matter anymore. He made a fist and charged towards Shinichi. At the last moment, he squatted, and kicked upwards, again.

The boy felt the excitement rush through him, but it was time to move on. He waited until the kick came near enough to his face that Kohki-san couldn't stop it, mentally screaming at his instincts to not move too early. Where was that bamboo? Shinichi breathed a small breath, then dove towards the bundle, trying to use Kawamiri no Jutsu before he was hit.

"Yay! Go Shinchi!" Aya cheered as she watched the two boys keep going at it. It was amazing how much stamina they both had. She wasn't all too interested in what Aski was reading, so she decided to keep watching the training session between Kohki and Shinichi. "C'mon Kohki!" she called out with a smile.

Kohki, again, hit the bamboo bundle. Shinichi was truly skilled, and Kohki grew to respect him.
It would be an honor to be in his team as a Genin... he thought as he looked around for the guy.

She was cheering for him... and his opponent. Shinichi appeared just to the left of Kohki-san, aiming a punch to his mid section. He was determined, as always to win this fight and to learn a jutsu while doing it. It almost wasn't fair that the others had already learn Kawamiri no Jutsu, but both Koro-sensei and Kohki-san had been kind enough to teach it to him, so there was little to complain about.

Kohki saw the attempt to attack this time.
Kawarimi... he thought.
Success. A poof sound, followed by a cloud of smokes appeared. The bundle of bamboo appeared where Kohki had been, but where was Kohki?

Shinichi felt his fist hit nothing but a stack of bamboo and smiled inwardly. It was so great to have a skilled sempai, but it wouldn't be long before that distinction changed... for the better. Now it was clear that Kusagakure had a fine group of strong genin candidates. He dropped his hand to the side and glanced about, wondering where Kohki-san disappeared to.
