NotAllan thought they were done. She thought they could go home. The victory bells had rung, and they were supposed to be teleported out of the dungeon.
"Why isn't it working? Lag?" she asked, crossing her arms and looking at the others. It didn't seem like lag, so what-
It came without a sound, glitching across the screen in utter silence. It was her. NotAllan was impressed, even scared of the likeness. Her full hunter regalia coupled with Tenebrae in a terrifying combo. The silence ripped as NotAllan placed a single card in her pocket card.
"Destruction."
The implosion happened too rapidly for her to register. Sound seemed to ricochet back into existence all at once, causing a massive wave of energy to expound from the shadow-self outwards. She was hit by some flying debris in the impact, but luckily it seemed as though there wasn't much more damage.
It was only when she reached down to pull out her cards that she realized something was wrong. She shook her head. Now wasn't the time to depend on the strength of power ups and courage. This was a test of merit.

TotallyAllan scratched his head and shrugged. "Doesn't feel like lag at all, man. Could be glitchy?" He put his hands on his hips and looked around. And then he was there. Not he, like some random monster, but he as in him. He was staring at himself in his hunter coat, with Ava pointed directly outward. It was like staring down the barrel of a gun. A sharp, murder machine gun. He panicked for a second, but there was no way this was real. He heard NotAllan say something, then felt more than saw a wave of energy. When he reached for a card to help out, there were none. "Well. s**t." Dotdotdot was attacking ... herself? But it was not the current "her" that was in the game, with all the amazing equipment like her coat and her hat. It was just ... her. She was faced with... herself. But, this was no foe, this was no enemy to beat down. It was her, the her outside of the game, the undead dragon, with her white scales slightly dull, her eyes somehow a vibrant blue. She was real and alive, and by Jack, she wanted to be herself again. the0racle hadn't really thought too much about her life outside of Wonderland, not because she hated it, but because she was so focused on the now. She had to attack, she had to push forward, take one thing at a time until she conquered everything in her path.
...and this was her goal.
She was her goal.

He would have been glad to leave the dungeon now, having met with himself. He was elated to leave with his new abilities and skills - but then another SANDSHARK appeared. This one was just as haggard and world-weary as he felt, not the one he'd just seen, or the Uttam that Pride had shown him. This was to be their final fight, then? So be it.
NotAllan released a powerful shockwave using a card he'd also picked up, and everything was leveled. An equalizer of sorts. Grimacing, SANDSHARK knew the longest haul was ahead.

And there she was, regular ol' Xiu. It was almost weird seeing herself without the Cheshire Cat garb, ears, and tail, but...kind of nice too.

While he was following himself out, he paused. Something wasn't quite right here. It wasn't long before Shadowstep realized that he was going to have to fight himself. He saw the figure as Shun, without the stupid rabbit ears. Just normal. Did the others see that as well? Or did this boss's appearance change depending on who's looking? He had lost something? What had he lost? He furrowed his brow, then shook his head. Raising the dagger up, he bowed once to his double, then crouched down, ready to attack.
