And then came venturing out on the ice to try for those glowing ones. She at least kept her balance this time, but as she got out further she heard an audible crack before suddenly finding the air rushing out of her lungs in a gasp as she felt the freezing cold water rushing around her as she fell in.
It took several minutes of scrambling to drag herself back out as she ended up standing on the bank panting and shivering a bit.
That was unpleasant.

Went and cold as she was, she did want to try and give it ONE more go. So careful to check that the ice wasn't too thin she moved out along the ice once more, spotting a pom as she scampered after it. Until it turned and she tried to follow, only to find her body still going one way even as she tried to turn another.
A few seconds later she found herself on the bank flopped there and covered in snow. Perhaps... another day.
