kawaiihogoshatenshi This is the 3rd time I've had to repost this >< I'm so sorry, thank you for waiting. And, though I think the idea of TR returning is a great fear for Carpo to have, I think that now everything Pan does is his own decision is a better game changer. I kinda also wanna test Carpo but I'm not so sure how yet... Alpha blushed at Rene's bargain and Kravo's attitude towards it. The man winked at the red head and gave a quaint about it all, making Alpha want to bring him along, even less. While Kravos took a few bites, Alpha returned to his own breakfast and quickly began eating as much food as he could. "I have a run down of how I want to address them all, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous" he confessed to his subordinate, then glancing to Rene with a simple, but sweet frown. ___ Pan could tell that a walk was hopefully something Carpo needed. However, he wasn't sure Mother would let them take a walk all the way outside. Hell, Pan hasn't been outside since they arrived here either, but they have simulation rooms and closed off training facilities that are large enough to walk in. It's probably still snowing or cold outside too, so Mother probably wouldn't allow them to go outside in that regard. "I don't know if we can go outside outside, but the training area that Ymir and I use often is large enough and sometimes they turn on simulation images to make it look like we're outside..." Pan trailed off thinking about the idea to walk there. He figured Carpo wouldn't like it much. And Pan only wanted Carpo to feel better, so he sighed hopefully and stood up and turned to the directions that Mother could best hear him. "Mother?" he called to ask kindly and in a lilting tone any child would use to sweet talk a parent, " Would it be alright if Carpo and I go for a walk outside? We can bring Ymir too, if that's alright?" he suggested. Pan was certain Carpo wouldn't like the idea of hanging around Ymir for too long, but if he wanted to go outside, then he was sure they needed to compromise. But, if Mother said no, then he'd suggest a walk through one of the training facilities with Yvette. Pan waited patiently for Mother's reply.

TenTenPrincess23 . Oh no! I hate when Gaia does that. Anyways, it’s okay. I figured you were just busy or something 3nodding But yeah I agree, I like how Pan is right now and the fact that he is making his own choices. Also test Carpo as in how? Mentally, emotionally, physically, relationship wise? I could probably help you brainstorm “Ah I see,” Kravos said in between bites as he leaned against the kitchen counter,” Well I know this probably won’t help your nerves any, but I think you’ve got this in the bag. Your argument is compelling, you’ve got evidence to back it up, and you are good at explaining stuff. Plus, from what Leo said, they are really close to going to war as is...She really thinks this could be the thing to break the camels back." "Break the camel's back?" Rene asked, not having quite caught onto all the idioms and slang in this country yet. "Yeah.. You know. Like that last straw? No? Alright well remind me to give you a session on idioms after we get back yeah?" He said with a chuckle just for Rene to nod in response. "Anyways, you ready to go boss?" He had a question for Alpha, one he really did not want to say in front of Rene.. --- Carpo looked up when Pan spoke, watching the speakers quietly as they waited for a response. It was silent for a moment, as if processing the request. Then the light beneath turned on and a Mother's voice sounded. "Of course, my child. As long as you bring Ymir with you, you may go wherever it is you wish," she said, voice robotic yet warm all at the same time. It was like the one he had heard when younger. The tone of her voice had reverted back once he had begun "behaving" himself again. "I'll send him right over." Moments later, the wolf had appeared at the door, which slid open upon his arrival. Looking to Pan, he threw a coat at Carpo, who had not expected the other to throw it without looking at him, and, thus, had the garment fall on top of his head. "Surprised you asked Mother to have me come babysit you two, what with you being older and all," he said with a smirk as he noted Carpo suspiciously looking the coat over. "Is she actually letting us out," Carpo asked, finally pulling it on after find no sort of trick to it. He hadn't really believed that she was letting them out, figuring she would say that they could walk outside, only to have Ymir take them to a simulation room. But, if that was the case, Ymir should've looked more bored.. "Yep. I think she figured it'd be a good way to test if there are any lasting effects from your heart condition. You know, that shitty a** circulation you had before and all? It'll help us figure out if you'll actually be a threat or not once you leave," he said, bluntly honest as ever. At this Carpo rose with a frown, arms buried in the coat that was not quite the right size for him. "I'm not leaving." "Could've fooled me. What with the hacking and all," Ymir said, as he began to lead them down the hall, hands in his pocket and a grin on his face. "Makes me wonder if you're hoping they'll kick you out for it." "I'm not. It's just practice..." "For what? Making an escape? I saw you messing with the electric locks." "No. That was to figure out a way to lock you in your room so I don't have to listen to you talk anymore. Figured it'd be the only way to get you to leave us alone for once." Ymirs smirk faded at this, mind going back to that one time he'd been locked in his room for a day. He'd thought that was a fluke... Narrowing his eyes, he looked back to the redhead, who had stolen his grin and put it upon his own face. "I hate you..." "Ditto" Well, this was sure to be a relaxing walk. At least, Carpo had relaxed some...

kawaiihogoshatenshi Well its up to you. I do like Carpo's loyalty for Pan but honestly, him staying put seems so ...idk, stuck?~ I think maybe give Carpo a pure opportunity to be set free? Idk something like that? Unless you have something better? I just want Pan to experience real heart break twisted (I feel so mean to say that xD ) Alpha chewed the last bit of his food, swallowing while rolling his eyes Kravos's "idiom lesson". News of this country and his homeland's feud were almost welcome. It would easier to convince an already persuaded crowd. Kravos asked and Alpha nodded, the car to take them to the Council's Convention Center would be downstairs any minute. After wiping his face clean, he picked up his empty plate and placed it in the kitchen sink, then turned to give Rene a last kiss goodbye before following Kravos out the door. "I'll be home later. Je t'aime~" he kissed his lips once more then his forehead before heading out. Now downstairs with Kravos, Alpha pulled out the flash drive to look at it once more before placing it back in his left coat pocket. Again, his new hairstyle caused him to fidget with his hanging bangs. "Ugh, I don't know if I'll ever get used to short hair...." he muttered with a small chuckle. ____ Pan was overjoyed at Mother's approval. He smiled and greeted Ymir at the door when the bickering already ensued.
"Ymir don't throw things in my room..." he asked politely, moving to Carpo's side to help him with his coat. "Anyway, I figured Mother wouldn't want us to go alone and she I think she likes you more and-..." he sighed.
The two were already behaving like children. At some parts, Pan couldn't help but roll his eyes and try not to laugh. And at others, Pan was silent for. But listening to them bicker was refreshing. Pan noticed Carpo's smiles and smirks as he teased Ymir, how talking to him put him at ease.... kinda. Well it sort of seemed that way. As Pan pressed the lock for his door, he walked up to the two of them to stand in between them so their bickering would diminish, because if Pan was being real with himself their bickering seemed like it would never completely stop. But Pan didn't mind that so much so long as they didn't start throwing punches.
Pan giggled and took Carpo's hand and smiled happily between the two of them, "Hehe, I wanted you to come with us, because Carpo is more comfortable around you," even if that meant Ymir suffered a bit, " And I like having you to talk too" he spoke with endearment. It felt so strange to have someone to fit into his life like a younger brother like Ymir. This felt like a family or... something like that.
"How is it outside? Is it still snowing?" Pan asked Ymir, and then giving a quick glance over to his lover to see if he was feeling just a little bit better.

TenTenPrincess23 Well, Carpo wouldn’t willingly leave unless Pan either did something cruel to him or the government did something cruel to him and Pan just brushed it off or cared but decides not to do anything about it. I have a plan that could include the latter if you don’t want to do the former. Or a different but similar plan that include neither. A lot of what ends up happening to Carpo in either route would be determined by Pans actions and what he learns about things/ how he reacts. It could result in Carpo being unplayed for quite some time though, which is fine with me, if it is fine with you. Kravos watched Rene wave goodbye before exiting the room and heading downstairs. Alpha was being a bit fidgety and nervous, which Kravos understood. The redhead was not super comfortable with the country they were currently in, much less the one they were about to head into( if only temporarily). He’d gotten decently comfortable sure, but he still didn’t know the culture or the people the way that Kravos did. And this was a big change, going from a place where he needed to constantly do things to one where he could more or less relax... He imagined it had to be hard for him... Though honestly he wasn’t entirely sure. Alpha would never admit such a thing to him. At least, not after his perceived betrayal. Listening as he walked down the stairs, he chuckled. “Well, look at it this way. Once we get this finished, we can finally really settle in and you can grow your hair length to whatever you want. No one in day to day life will really care what your hair looks like. The only ones that do are the stuffy upper class and I doubt we will have much contact with them after this,” he said as they exited the building. There they found the car, which Kravos slid into before buckling in. After Alpha got settled, the car would start, driving them to the destination without any questions. Kravos, too, was quiet, obviously feeling awkward now that the two of them were alone. ____ Ymir was pouting by the the time Pan came over, mulling over ways to get revenge on Carpo for his hacking trick. Carpo, meanwhile, seemed at ease, though it was hard to tell if it was actually because he enjoyed Ymir’s company or because he was excited about the opportunity to go back outside. Regardless, he smiled and happily took Pans hand as the albino explained further why he’d invited Ymir along. It sounded like it was meant to make Ymir feel better, but it didn’t appear to work. “Well, the feeling isn’t mutual,” he muttered with arms crossed as he attempted to glare at Carpo through Pan. Carpo seemed unbothered by the comment and merely smirked. It was obvious the wolf was just being a brat about it, so he chose not to let it bother him. Huffing, Ymir grumbled to himself a bit, slowly easing the longer Pan stood between the two of them. “ The weathers fine. No snow. It’s just cold. Mother wouldn’t have let us out if it was snowing, she’s too nervous that we’d use the cover of a blizzard to run off I think...” As he spoke, he pushed the door open to the outside, revealing a frost covered forest with numerous evergreens around them. Once the door was closed behind him, he turned back to Pan and then looked at Carpo, a slight frown on his face as he considered speaking. He soon shook his head though and looked away. “Do you guys need privacy? Because I can plug my ears or something, but I’m not looking away, can’t risk it.”

kawaiihogoshatenshi Hmm well, right now Pan knows the overall conditioning of right and wrong, but he also has his mind set on keeping Carpo safe and happy, and doing any means to do that. But I'd like to know what else you have in mind~! I'm really intrigued =D. Pan is very naive and could be a tad spoiled soon. Also I love Carpo and would miss him so much, but I'd be down to also build on Ymir and Pan's relationship more if Carpo must not be in picture. :O emotion_bigheart Alpha chuckled, "I don't think the stuffy upper class will ever go away. That just seems like a problem no matter where you go... " he hummed and recited the speech he'd give over and over in his head until the silence was noticeable. "How is living with Leona? You two getting along?" he asked, not wanting to think of distracting questions that could float into his head with Kravos next to him. Not now with so much riding on his mind. Small talk was fine to pass the time. "I don't think I've ever seen you so... happy? Complete? It's good~" he knew Kravos was a happy individual to begin with, but now he was with someone that seemed to keep him check and loved. It was something refreshing to see. Kravos deserved to be happy. ____ "Ahh... well I'm grateful she let us come outside then.." he spoke to Ymir.
Pan walked with Carpo side by side until they got outside. He took in a deep breath of fresh air and smiled. It was cold outside, but nothing unbearable. The sky wasn't as blue as he'd hoped, but at least it was there. It had been awhile since Pan felt the coolness of an uncontrollable breeze. There was not as much snow on the ground as to when they first arrived. Very little green grew anywhere near the facility other than the barren trees. Pan couldn't help but get a bit distracted by the ability to see his breath. His eyes glanced over to Carpo and he didn't stop a small giggle that escaped his lips when their eyes met.
"How are you feeling?" he checked in quietly with Carpo, gently take the man's hand up to his lips and pressing a small, warm kiss on the back of his hand before being asked if they needed privacy. Pan's attention was back on Ymir and he couldn't help but giggle softly and roll his eyes.
"Ymir, don't be silly, we just wanted to go for a walk. Come on~" he beckoned to the wolf as Pan started to take a slow walk with Carpo, still ready to be in between them in case they were ready to start arguing again. "Right?" he asked Carpo instinctively, looking for signs of approval or happiness on his lover's face.
But soon, along their walk, Pan saw an open field and had an idea that he thought would be entertaining to Carpo.
"Ymir, do you think we could show Carpo what we practiced in training the other day? The chasing exercise and the wall jump?" he asked. Pan liked those exercises because he thought he was really good at them and enjoyed the physical prowess they needed. Also, chasing Ymir was kinda fun. Maybe this would entertain Carpo?
"Mother wouldn't mind if we practiced here a bit, right?" he asked, looking in between Ymir and Carpo.

TenTenPrincess23 Okay! I got one that I can work with. Like I said, it might just put Carpo out of the picture for awhile, but he would probably reappear eventually. It just kind of depends upon how Pan reacts to everything. Imma keep it a surprise, but we should get to it soon enough. After the walk probably. And should result in a significant amount of heartbreak on Pan's part. Kravos was a bit startled when the silence was broken, not having expected the other to actively talk to him. Indeed, he'd been so deep in thought, that it took a moment for him to even process what Alpha had said, but when he did, he smiled. "Honestly? It's great.. I really love her, you know? She’s just so kind and smart and funny in her own way and just… perfect, you know,” he said, a goofy, dreamy sort of look settling on his face as he thought about his loved one,” I mean, I don’t get to see her as much as I’d like, but that’ll change once we finish this. I’m basically going to resume what I had been doing, but, you know, safer? “ Since they had gotten to this country, Alpha had learned quite a bit about what it was that Kravos had done, a bunch of which he had not exactly been privy to before. He now knew that on top of being the main recruiting agent for the rebel group, he had also begun working with Leona to send their people to her country. They were generally people who either Alpha or Kravos personally saw as not a good fit for the rebel group. Mostly it was people that had enough common sense to know they didn’t want to be in Sans Espoir, but not enough realize that returning back to normal society was not an option. They couldn’t join the group because there was too much fear what would happen if they decided to try to run back to the city. If they weren’t killed on the spot, they’d likely rat out their location in a heartbeat… He couldn’t stand to just leave them though. The cabin he’d found was a temporary haven for them, but it just wasn’t enough. And then he found Leo. She gave him a better place to send them. A place where they could have a “normal” life without risking the rebel group. She would take them and help them apply for asylum and he would help let her know which of her people were still behind bars after a pickup. To hear that he was planning on going back to doing that was probably surprising, considering the fact that he had nearly died not even a few months prior. The reason why quickly became clear though, as he continued. “ I think.. I think I’m going to try find Carpo.. I mean, I’ll be surprised if he’s still alive after all this time, what with how much a pain in their side he always was, but after what he did for us… I feel like I should at least try, you know?” Kravos still felt like he owed an incredible debt to Carpo. “I’m good,” Carpo said with a soft smile, hands noticeably still warm in Pan’s own. At Ymir’s words, he gave him a look, as if to tell him yes, only for Pan to say the contrary. Sighing, he nodded and continued to walk, holding Pan’s hand in his own. “Mhm.. I mean without Ymir, who would mutter to himself in the background while we talk,” he teased, only for Ymir to huff yet again. After that, he trailed back for a bit, only to catch up when Pan stopped near an open field and spouted the idea of showing Carpo their tricks. Shrugging, he stepped forward a bit and surveyed the area, as if trying to decide whether or not this was a good place or not. It was.. fine. Not as obscured as he would’ve like it to be for the chase exercise, but it was good enough he supposed. He’d just have to be more creative to avoid Pan’s tackle… The wall exercise though, well he had not clue how he intended to do that. There wasn’t a wall in sight. Rather than bug him about it though, he just stretched a bit before sighing. “Alright, ready when you are. “

kawaiihogoshatenshi Oof! Okay sounds good. Also sorry post is short and took forever, I completely forgot what I wanted to type up for Alpha after Gaia did my stupid again >< dangit Gaia! But AHH Carpo, I can't wait to see what you do~! It was nice to hear how Kravos was doing. Them talking like they had any semblance of normalcy to their lives now made the goal in the end seem all the more reachable. But when Kravos finished his sentence, his eyes widened.
Alpha was all but shocked at the news Kravos confessed to. "What? But- " the loss of words was clear. "Well, I mean... I've almost lost all hope in finding him... do you really think he's still alive?" he asked his comrade. "Kravos... I don't know.. we worked so hard just to get settled... and you want to go back? I mean... I would be curious just how to do so but.. well, I won't deny that I've only hoped for now... but.. you really think its possible?" he asked, in a whisper.
__
Pan leaned on Carpo's shoulder for just a second to balance himself while he stretched. And then, If Carpo was looking, he'd see a grin on Pan that none of their old friends would have ever seen on him before. It was a smirk of cockiness, and it was only while Pan looked to Ymir. Whether anyone thought it as intimidating or sexy was anyone's guess.
"Alright, Ymir. I'll give you a ten second head start" Pan spoke, sure of himself. Though it sounded cool, and suave, it was also fairly noticeable that this was a new feature Pan was learning to get used to as well. Then, Pan started the count down.
"Ten..." he started, and instead of position to get ready, Pan's expression softened when he leaned in to kiss the top of Carpo's head.
"Nine..." this time he squeezed his lover's hand a little bit more and kissed his temple. "Eight..." If Ymir hadn't left by now, then he was about to be embarrassed or sick from the display Pan was about to put on. His gentle fingers that weren't holding' Carpo's hand lifted and gently brushed Carpo's freckled covered cheek and down to sweetly hold his chin. Pan licked his lips and couldn't help but lean in and give Carpo's lips a painfully slow, but romantic kiss that lasted the remaining six seconds. When he finally parted, Pan smiled to his lover and whispered low to him, "Will you watch me?", he asked sweetly and little sad, almost in a completely different disposition than what had just released Carpo's lips.
"One..." and he let go of Carpo and turned to sprint after Ymir.

TenTenPrincess23 oh no!! I’m sorry Gaia keeps doing that to you. I hate when that happens!! Kravos nodded softly at Alphas words about Carpo. He then released a chuckle as the redhead continued to speak, asking if it was possible to leave. “Of course we can leave. This isn’t like our country. We aren’t prisoners here,” he said with a smile,” Getting back here would be interesting to achieve without citizenship, but I’m not super worried about that. I trust Leona would help me figure that out and if not, there’s always citizenship via marriage” He seemed amused as he thought about that but his amusement didn’t last long as his thoughts trailed back to Carpo. “As for that kid still being alive.... I’m not sure. I hope he is, but who knows... I just.. I need to know for sure. What with what he did to help save me... ," he said as he began fidgeting with his cufflinks some," and even if I can' find him.. I have a feeling I'll be much more useful over there than I am here." --- Carpo was caught off guard for a second by the look Pan had given Ymir, more used to the more passive side Pan usually showed him. He shook away any nervousness though as the man turned to him, not wanting to worry him for any reason. It meant nothing. It was just how he interacted with Ymir. He was reading too much into things. Blinking as Pan kissed his forward, he looked confused for a moment before smiling. Fingers reached up to wrap themselves in the other's hair as the redhead kissed him back, only to unwind slowly as the seconds continued to tick down. "Mmm.. I'll try," he said with a chuckle before watching him speed off. And indeed, Carpo did try to watch him, speeding after him for a bit even, only for the albino to eventually disappear from sight. One of the first things Ymir had done to try to throw off Pan was to run into the forest, as it gave him the most cover and barriers for Pan to pass through. As such, it was a bit hard to see where he'd gone, especially with how fast they both were. When the realization hit that there was no more he could do, the redhead let himself fall back into what little snow remained on the ground. It was nice and relaxing, looking up at the gray sky through the branches of the trees. Breathing in the cool air, he listened to the cracking of twigs in the distance and tried to picture their movements. And then finally there it was, a yelp, less of pain and more of surprise as Pan likely tackled the other to the ground. Chuckling some, he slowly stood back up and looked to the ground, deciding to try and meet them halfway at least.

Alpha took in everything Kravos was saying. Marriage? Alpha couldn't help but try to hold in a smile. Perhaps it was a surprised for Leona that now Alpha had to hold onto and not tell anyone. Maybe he was over speculating. The car slowed a bit as it hit traffic and the driver turned to the two of them and reassured that they'd get there on time. Alpha looked over and gave a small nod of acknowledgement, trying to stifle any nervousness from showing.
He returned to Kravos's gaze and whispered. "But... " he sighed, " Look.. it is likely that Carpo could still be left alive. After all that happened and Pan being a coveted weapon by our government, Carpo could be used as some kind of bait of leverage to use against--..." Alpha stopped, realizing with how his tone sounded and he grew quiet. Alpha was unsure if Kravos knew about all the information about Pan and he was the last one to see him. But it has been three months, and the plan Alpha had was going to benefit them all in end if he can convince these people that their government AND Pan were a serious threat. Still, it did sound like he blamed Kravos for Pan's capture.
"Sorry"
He apologized for the awkwardness. " I'm sorry about the way I acted when we got you back. I don't mean to reflect on back then." he frowned.
___
Pan was panting heavy as he pulled himself up and off of Ymir. He couldn't help but giggle at the sight before him. He wiped some sweat off his brow and bent down a bit to extend a hand out to the other man. "You almost got away that time. You've gotten faster from the first exercise, haha~. It's fun running out here with you~!" he smiled and offered to help Ymir up. "Are you okay? Are you hurt? " he asked worriedly and glancing Ymir over if there were any injuries.

"There's nothing to apologize for. I lied to you Alpha. You had every right to be angry with me for it," Kravos said with a shrug as he looked at Alpha, seeming unbothered that it was brought up. Then he paused as if considering his next words before looking away and back out the window. "I'm not sorry for letting him go though.... ," he spoke calmly and evenly, though his nervousness was clear from the way he fidgeted with his pants," before there was Carpo. There was a man named Shen... Shen meant the world to Pan and Pan to Shen. But Shen died and there was nothing Pan could do.... I knew that and I knew Pan wouldn't want to let anything like that happen again to someone he cared about. He would've run the second we got back to base and there was nothing we could've done to stop him. He would've fought us all to know that Carpo was safe and sound... So I thought.. I was saving us the trouble..." "I'm sorry. I should've been more frank about it." ---- Carpo started walking, a slight smile on his face as he took in the trees and plants around him. They were not yet in bloom, but the sight was beautiful to him nonetheless. It was so quiet out there.... so peaceful. So when he heard a rustle nearby, he knew it had to be Pan and Ymir. Chuckling he pushed through the brush he heard them through. "That was fast. I expected you to-," he started to say, only to stop. That was not Pan... Grumbling, Ymir brushed the dirt off of his clothes. Stubbornly he then refused Pan's hand and pushed himself up. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine, just a scrape from when you sent me skidding across the dirt," he said with a soft huff. By now Pan would know this act. Ymir always acted grumpier than he actually felt. It seemed to be his way of distancing himself, probably due to the fear that Pan would be taken away again. Little did Ymir know that Pan had gotten it completely figured out. The gray haired man continued to grumble a bit more, only to suddenly snap to attention as he heard half of a yelp in the distance. Instantly icy blue eyes flicked to the direction of the sound before looking to Pan. It was unclear who the voice belonged to, but then again, they were the only ones out in these woods weren't they? Within a second Ymir was off, darting in the direction where he'd heard the noise come from, only to stop in a small clearing where the noise had come from and where a disturbing amount of blood had been left behind. It wasn't enough or him to have been killed or even mortally wounded, but to him, any amount of blood from the redhead was a disturbing concept..... "That's not good....," he muttered under his breath before looking to Pan, as if unsure what to do.

Alpha chuckled. The two seemed to just be in an apology circle or something. Kravos had a point, Pan would've just gone regardless. "Heh, you don't need to apologize. You had to keep Leona and her team safe, that I get. That day, I was already mad at Carpo and Pan for not listening to me." He spoke, and then spilled words as if it were some kind of confession he needed to expel. Though he sounded calm, the words to come just seemed to flow out. " I had asked Carpo and Rene to stay behind and work at the base while Pan and I would as part of Leona's crew to attempt to sneak you out. The plan wasn't finalized yet and were going to work it out more through out the day, but Carpo didn't want to stay behind... And I called him a liability. Ever since we lost the hide out and Pan changed, Carpo's heart problems were getting worse. He had just had another heart attack the night before, I... " he sighed. "I thought I was trying to protect him... Turns out they acted against my own orders and went out on their own." Alpha also explained the guilt he felt when he saw how heart broken Carpo's face looked. "If you do manage to find him and bring him back, he's someone I need to apologize to.... But.." he continued. "I'm... scared.. scared for him and Pan. Especially Pan or TR, or whatever he is... He may not be the same person we knew before... I bet if you did find Carpo, you'd probably have to watch out for Pan now.. who knows what they did to the poor kid... " he frowned then, only to slowly shake off his nerves and grin a bit. "Still, whatever you do" he held his fist out to offer a well timed 'fist-bump', "I've got your back..." ____ Pan lost his smile for a moment when Ymir refused his help, only for it to be replaced with a rush of panic at the sound of a cry from the direction they left Carpo in. The two mutants rushed simultaneously, Pan's heart was stuck and pounding in his chest, terrified of what they might find. The two moved in unison to sprint through the brush, the meadow and back to where they last saw the red head.
"Carpo!" Pan shouted, and then intently listening for any form of reply, anything! Pan's new hearing could anything within 5-10 kilometers, but right now, in this forest of open air and panicked states, Pan could hear everything. The breeze that brushed the leaves and the grass that caused them to rustle a garble hush over them, woodpeckers banging in hollow logs, birds that chirped endlessly and rustling on the ground that could be Carpo or rats or other small things in the area. In addition to the noise, the pounding of his own heart certainly wasn't helping him either. During their training exercises, Pan was still practicing to pinpoint sounds in busy situations, but each time he practiced, he was calm and focused, nothing like how he was right now. Pan covered his ears with his palms and groaned, "...oohh it's too loud out here.."
Then Ymir made his comment and Pan couldn't help but frown and whip his head to his friend with an expression of wondering if that comment really was necessary. Pan scanned the area and whimpered, " Can you smell anything? Do we know for sure it's his blood?" he saw some more droplets of blood and walked to follow them until he couldn't see any more. Pan was beginning to shake in fear for Carpo.
"Carpo!" he called again.

Kravos listened quietly as Alpha made his calm confession. It was clear that he had thought a lot on this during their time in this country. And while Kravos had already been told about the old plan by Leona, he had not been told about what Alpha had said to Carpo. The words made him cringe, only because he could imagine how the redhead had reacted to such a thing. It was no wonder him and Pan had run off and did their own thing. Carpo always had been stubborn and said stubbornness was always amplified when he was made to feel useless. And Pan, well, he would've done anything that Carpo asked. The kid was easily manipulated, especially if the manipulator was Carpo. Looking sympathetically at Alpha, he put a hand on his boss' shoulder as a means of comfort. He wanted to say something comforting, but he never had been good at that. Instead he just listened and smiled at close, glad to have the tension slightly lifted. Bumping him back, he smirked. "I know it and I swear. I am going to bring him back Alpha. You can count on it." 'Sirs. We have arrived." Looking out the window, Kravos saw a huge governmental looking building with domes and arches and pillars. It made him nervous for a second, vaguely reminding him of his country's government, but he quickly shook it off and looked ahead. ------ Ymir had gotten more practice than Pan in both hearing and scent. After all, he'd never had a break from his powers like the other had. Even with this added edge though, he still couldn't hear Carpo, just the trees swaying and the chittering of animals. Closing his eyes, he tried hard to focus, but still he heard no sign of human life other than Pan and himself. He could, however, smell something. "Yes.. that's Carpo's blood. And I smell.... another person. I don't recognize the scent though..." As he spoke, he wandered in the direction where he thought he caught the scent, only to pause and stop as he lost it temporarily. Huffing, he opened his eyes and began to scan the area, looking for tracks or drag marks or something.... Just as he thought he spotted something though, he stopped and perked up at the sound of a familiar voice. "Mother is calling....," he said as he looked over to Pan with concern, not because he thought that mother would be upset with them for losing Carpo, but rather because he was worried that Pan wouldn't listen to her call home. Because in this state with Carpo missing, he doubted Pan would return....which could mean severe consequences for both of them.
