It was almost a relief when something did crack under his foot, forcing him to look for another path.

He rounded a corner and balanced his way across a spot that looked rather precarious, but the boards only creaked beneath his weight rather than breaking. Just a few more steps. He could see the glow of the orbs at the back of the room now.

He stepped carefully across the last few rotting boards and scooped up one of the two remaining orbs. It was warm against his skin, and he cradled it close as he made his way carefully back out.

At the very least it seemed Yiro had made it through the swings with relative ease.
