Resting post

Sakura was in her half-slumber, but in a particular state of sleeping, but also half awake. It was a strange feeling, where she was tired enough that her body was sleeping and unresponsive to her feeble movements, but she could still hear and smell the happenings around her. It happened sometimes randomly, when she slept in places that she normally wouldn't, like now. Her fuzzy brain tried to process the things going around, but unless something unexpected happened, it seemed her dozing would continue for a while, if not for a long time.

Her imagination ran freely as she interpreted the breeze of the wind as a snow storm and blizzards, and a sudden snap brought her out of her slight daze. She really needed to finish this. Hell, she was going to get this stupid jutsu done, NOW. Sitting back up and pretending to be a super secret agent who's super-awesome hiding skills were a must, she got up and 'stealthily' reached over to her cloaks again. Picking up her choice of cloth, she willed herself to disappear for this last try.

6 + 1 = 7 Fail

Sadly, it seemed that she was doomed to fail on her last try. Pouting, she resigned herself to replaying the sad attempt at what was supposed to be a Kankuremino no Jutsu in her head over and over again. It was supposed to be just one single attempt at a jutsu, and then it should have been over, right? They should have been able to go home and relax and rest until someone popped up and showed them what to do next, right? And she should have been finished with this and back inside the cool, safe walls of the academy, right??????

Then why was she still outside practicing this jutsu and failing more than five times for this last, LAST try? The chakra control wasn't the matter, since she did it pretty well. Then what, pray tell, was wrong???? Glancing at the cloaks that were giving her so much trouble today, she decided to rest a bit more before trying out the jutsu. It was nerve-wreaking and frustrating to have a successful streak in the beginning, then have her luck crash at the very end of the practice session. But it was all for the best, she hoped. After all, it wasn't all the time that they had a good day. But still, it stung like someone had poured and vigorously rubbed in a copious and generous amount of fresh lemon juice on a gaping wound, or so she thought.

Come to think of it, didn't something similar to this happen earlier in the day this morning..?

Resting post

Now technically, Sakura should have stopped what she was doing and rest up so she could finish up in time, but it got quite boring as she sat there, looking at everyone as they did their thing. Fudou had gone MIA at the moment so Yae seemed to be working by herself, while Pakku seemed to be finished with his lessons too. Amaya had gone off after her finishing her push-ups, and Hoeru was probably still inside, working on her hand signs or chakra molding. Then there was the two clan members from different parts sparring with each other over at the dojo by the sounds of it. Shiro had mysteriously gone missing too, but he was probably finding a nice place to doze and cool off, since he had finished. Or maybe he was still around, but it was just that she couldn't tell.

At least she had received enough practice in sitting still at the clan meetings. It was her job to keep her head down and stay more or less ignored, unless someone asked something of her or mentioned her deeds, which wasn't all that often. And besides, doing something in that boring, and sometimes oppressive mood received unwanted attention from the elders. The elders were nice in their own ways outside the clan meetings. They sometimes smuggled dango in and gave it to her to eat as a treat, and they seemed to find her very cute for some reason, always dragging her away from home and teaching her the basics of shogi or braiding her hair and showing her different kinds of flower arrangements. It was fun, and they were really nice and kind to her all the time. But in the meetings.... well. It sufficed to say that they were a force to be reckoned with. No one would want them on the opposing side, for sure. It tested everyone's patience to the max, and this was where children learned the virtues of patience and silence. And later on of course, the method of speech and... persuasiveness. Seriously, sometimes it was just a battle of wills, with people just staring at each other until someone looked away or gave up.

While thinking it over, Sakura seemed to get a spark of recognition from the memories. That girl...

Resting post

Thinking hard, she leaned forward and hugged her knees closer to herself, resting her chin on top, wondering why the other girl looked so familiar. After a minute of contemplation, Sakura had a spark of recognition about who the girl was. Yuki had seen her a couple times in the clan meetings, although they hadn't talked with each other very much at all. Rin...kou, was it? She couldn't remember for sure, but she was pretty sure that the clan member was a bit older than her. She brightened at the prospect of having a big sister to walk home with every day back to the compound. They could always help each other with their work and training, or plan something fun to do. There was a whole plethora of things they could achieve together, and Yuki looked forward to meeting her again later.

Just then though, a disturbing thought broke her bubble of happiness that had been building up until now.

'What if she doesn't like me?'

That... would be a problem.

Well, she'd have to pay extra attention to get on her good side when they had a chance to get to know each other better. First impressions were important after all, from what okka-san had said, so she guessed that it was true if it was important enough for even otou-san to repeat over and over last night before she had headed over to the Academy. Once they were on good terms, maybe they could become regular sparring partners.

Now wouldn't that be fun?

Resting post

Thoughts wandering off elsewhere, Yuki took a stick and slowly started drawing random lines on the dirt floor, which slowly became a picture, with intricate lines flowering all over the place. When she realized what she was doing, Sakura stopped and looked at her handiwork. There was a figure of all the different students she had met, including her hyper sensei that was now off on a mission. Smiling, she quickly added more detail to the different people, paying extra attention to the dreadlocks of Ko-sensei as a laugh. Swiping the dirt floor clean with the branch again, she started up a bigger drawing, this time of the two Jōnin that had visited the Academy earlier. The Senju was chasing after a panicking Uchiha, and she laughed as she drew his face comically before swiping it clean, looking around for fear that someone had actually seen the disasterpeice and got herself into trouble.

Another picture came alive from the lines of the stick, and though they weren't very detailed as she would like them, she still liked the doodles and did a couple more pictures, with the lines forming to become a map of the Uchiha Compound, to a likeness of her partner, Shiro.

Sakura hurridly erased the last one, faintly blushing and looking around her, silently hoping no one had seen it. Tossing the stick next to her, she leaned back on the tree and relaxed herself, feeling the chakra build up little by little. By now, it was enough to do the jutsu, but knowing her bad luck, it could backfire on her again. She decided to rest a bit more before attempting to finish off the jutsu and declaring herself finished with it.

Uuuuhhh... ignore the dice roll, let's just treat this as a normal resting post, haha 3nodding

Now that Sakura had put down the stick, tossing it away, she felt almost ready to create the wirl of chakra again in order to sucessfully initiate the jutsu and finish the training session. The slight change of pace from the continuous training with chakra, abduction, and training some more was very welcome, and Yuki smiled as she thought of all sorts of things to tell her parents, although she was a little tentative about telling them about the kidnapping part. Ah well, what they didn't know wouldn't hurt them, and Sakura made a mental note to slightly omit that part so they wouldn't worry too much. But then, they might have gone through the same thing as she had when they were young, so she'd have to approach the topic a bit carefully. She fleetingly wondered what the others would say to their parents in explanation to this incident that happened today.

Now that she had rested up properly enough to test out the jutsu a couple more times, Sakura stretched and got up, dusting her clothes before turing to the cloaks, the cloaks, those god-forsaken cloaks. This time, it had to work before she ran out of her chakra again. It would really be frustrating to have to fail at this even after this. She'd focus all her concentration to this next try and finish it once and for all.

[Lesson Complete]

Gripping the edges of the cloak, Sakura focused on her chakra and maintained the flow, making sure to apply everything she had learned through the previous training and what she had figured out from watching Shiro's progress. Tentatively, Sakura seeped the chakra into the cloth and blurred out of view to the naked eye, completely concealing herself from the rest of the scenery. To anyone casually passing by, she was nothing but a small part of the bush and wall; nothing particularly interesting or incriminating to the ordinary person, or shinobi for that matter. It was easy as a natural reflex, and she passed the failures from before as bad luck from being low on chakra, although the reasoning couldn't be tested. What she was focused on was that she was done.

Gleefully taking down the cloak, Sakura grinned as she tossed the cloak up in the air and snatched it out from the sky again, officially marking this the end of the practice, and she searched around to find Shiro. He had said he would be nearby, and he didn't seem like the type to mindlessly wander off and forget his promises.

"Shiro-kun????" She shouted out, a bit softly so that it wouldn't disturb the others around her, but enough to get his attention if he really was in the vicinity.

"Scared? No, your foot smells though." It didn't really smell, much, she just wanted to tease him. She stepped back a little, she needed room for her next attack, what this attack would be, she wasn't quite sure actually. She looked up and down the boy's body, looking for something to hit, but wouldn't do too much damage.
She wonder if she could spot herself from tripping him over, even if she didn't she would get a good laugh out of it if he did fall. Her legs flailed as she relaxed them and then got into a position for a good kick. She wanted to trip him, well, not really, she had to stop before hitting his leg. She quickly switched her position a bit, so that she could spin a little, for show mainly. She was now ready, to do a trip kick. She swung her leg around quickly, sliding her food just lightly upon the floor, she was ready to stop when her other food slipped a little, she lost her balance and kicked the boy's leg harder then she was even going to if she didn't plan to stop. She didn't fall, but he sure did, right on his bum. She giggled a bit.
"Are you okaaaaaaay?" She kept on laughing a bit more, for it was funny to see him fall, even if it was her fault. "Get up and lets keep going!"

"Scared? No, your foot smells though." The boy cracked a small smile at the arrogance of the girl. She was really something, telling the boy his feet smelled. He know they didn't! She had to be joking.... didn't she? Takami subconsciously made a note to check his feet later to see if they smelled, they couldn't! Takami was probably over thinking it. The Uchiha was obviously joking, right?

The boy watched as the girl readied her technique, her leg spazzing a bit before she got into the stance, getting ready to do the technique. Wait, what was she gonna do? The boy watched the kick, coming closer and closer to his knee. Was she going to stop in time, was she going to be unable to finish the technique correctly as he had before? Takami's question answered as he felt the ball of her foot hitting his knee, his leg buckling beneath him, himself falling to the ground. "This is really gonna hurt tomorrow," He could already feel the slight pain on his knee left knee growing a bit, though it would probably go away after a few minutes. Maybe he should ham it up to make the girl feel bad. Maybe just a little bit.

"Are you okaaaaaaay?" The boy listened to her asking about his condition, maybe he would just play it out a little bit more. "Get up and lets keep going!" Takami might as well give her a little show before he got up and continued the lesson.

"Ow. Ouch. Ow!" The boy held his knee in pain, rocking back and forth slightly just to add to the effect. Waiting a few more seconds, the boy got up to his feet bouncing on the balls of his heels slightly, stretching his arms across his chest at the same time. "All better," the boy gave her a slight smile, assuming a shorter fighting position, already deciding what technique he was gonna do. "Now don't react to much, I don't want to hurt you!" The Hyuuga warned his partner.

Quickly, Takami swung his leg in front of him from one side to the other, making a steep arc towards the side of the girl's head. Takami stopped about a half of a foot short of the Uchicha's head, resting his foot of her shoulder as he went to talk to her.

"How was that? Pretty cool, eh?" The boy boosted himself a bit, "That was one of the things my dad taught me before he....." the boy's words died of slowly towards the end of his sentence, not wanting to talk about his dad leaving for war again. He always got a bit teary when he talked about his family.....

The Hyuuga carefully took his foot off of his partner's shoulder, his hand on his hip and he waited for her response. "You go now Rin! You could probably do what you clan is known for and copy something I've done before!" The boy stuck out his tongue to tease the girl.

She saw through his faking pain, it was damn obvious he was being rude and his kick never hurt her. Once the boy's leg was off her shoulder, thankfully, she could move around again. She did catch him trying to say something, then drifted away. She wondered what he was, she would ask him later.
Copy something he just did? Easy thought Rinkou. She knew she could do what he just did. She was ready to do this, born ready, for she was Uchiha. Usually she never thought like that, but he got her all psyched up now, and she wanted to just show him she could do what he did with ease. She swung her leg exactly like his, and brought it up quickly like him in a sweep arc, and then stopped at the boy's head. She then rested her leg on his shoulder.
"How was that?" She now had a good smile across your face, but there was a deviousness to it. She then put her leg down, and back up a bit. "What you going to do now huh?"

The Hyuuga observed the girl as she flawlessly performed the technique he had just done, though she had just seen moments before, and only once. Granted the technique wasn't overly hard, the feat was still pretty impressive; The boy'd have to give her credit eventually, though not verbally, he didn't want to inflate her ego.

"What're you gonna do now, huh?" The Uchiha taunted Takami. He would have to wipe that stupid smirk off of her face. The Hyuuga looked over to his own shoulder, seeing the girl's foot still resting on his shoulder.

He'd have to do something about that, the boy decided a wide smirk crossing his face.

Quickly, the boy bent his knees slightly, hopefully throwing the girl off guard. After that, Takami quickly sent his leg forward next to his opponent's knee, hooking as his leg fully extended and hitting the girl behind her knee, sending her flying backwards. The boy quickly jumped forward, grabbing his new friend on her hips, steadying the girl before she feel down on her butt, though that would've been pretty funny. Takami knew that the point of this activity was more about not hurting each other, how ever funny or silly it may have been.

"How was that for a change?" The boy joked, a cheerful smirk on his face in place of the snobby one her wore before. Takami wasn't done yet though.

The boy quickly scanned the girl over, looking at her he noticed that she didn't seem to be ready. "First rule of combat, never let your guard done!"

The boy picked up his front leg and kicked the girl softly on her side, placing his foot down in front of himself, closer to where she was standing.

"Okay" the boy smiled, returning back to his laid back fighting stance, his left hand going up to his cheek and his right hand laying closer to his arm-pit, "Now what are you gonna do? Huh?"

Just because water conforms does not mean it is any lesser an element.

Had he known what she was thinking, he would've internally cringed at the prospect. He did not enjoy being left alone, that was part of the reason why he did end up staying with the rest of his clan. Just hearing the sound of footsteps echo outside his room reassured him...that living people were just outside... Nor would he have guessed exactly how vital a skill cleaning was. When one grew up privileged, a number of benefits become easily taken for granted. Never having learned what it was like to lack something or the urgency of the simple tasks of daily life was the culmination of years of other people doing for him what he should have learned to do.

Seeing the classroom again made his stomach lurch. Right on cue, Akeru began visibly panicking, even as Amaya discreetly slipped out of the door to fetch more supplies. What was he going to do? He thought to himself. Where to even start! The classroom looked much, much worse than he had last seen it! Well the latter thought was obvious, but that was not the point or what he was referring to: he had thought the classroom wasn't in as terrible a condition as the last image he saw of it as he exited. But no, that was not true, because he had moved so quickly, little dots of blood decorated the pathway from the back rows to the door.

He clenched the mop harder, hysteria already making its way up to his calm. Fortunately, before he truly started panicking, Amaya had already returned. Her smile melted away his troubled thoughts, and though the expression on his face was still one of unhappy helplessness, he did not feel he was on the verge of a panic attack anymore. He listened carefully to her words, and stiffly nodded, before attacking the nearest row of red spots with renewed vigor.

It appeared as though the male Uchiha was finally figuring out how this whole mopping concept worked and it told the black haired Keiji that there was hope yet. However, the child suddenly realized that she could make a very large impact on the room without doing a lot of time consuming cleaning that might come as a slight comfort to her companion; at least she hoped that it would help ease his panic. Once more she leaned her mop against the wall as she had before and retreated to the back of the room where she had just returned from moments ago. Though it took a little bit of effort since the desk was a cumbersome size for her, Amaya soon righted the desk and slid it back into position. There were a couple other desks that had been knocked askew but were still standing, one of them being the one that she had caught herself on. In addition, a few of the chairs had been scattered. Methodically, the child moved from one to the next and lined everything up just as it should have been. Once she thought she had it, Amaya slipped back to the front of the room and looked at the rows and columns. With a smile and an affirmative nod for her own sake, the girl decided that they were just the way she wanted them. It was amazing how drastically that cut down on the chaos of the room.

Continuing on with her progress, the black eyed child reclaimed her mop and got to work near Akeru. She figured that if she stayed close she could keep an eye on him without having to correct him from across the room. As she started in on a particularly unrelenting spot, the child looked up and over at her friend. An adorable, toothless smile radiated from her as a form of encouragement. She decided that, if he was doing so well, maybe it was best just to encourage and not attempt to tack on any more nitpicky technique notes that would just clutter up his mind and distract him. No, that was the last thing the Uchiha needed and, apparently, Amaya had become alright with making that decision on her own. It wasn’t arrogance or superiority, but she had watched what happened when her brothers became overwhelmed with learning a new task. In short, they would break down, throw a tantrum, and then quit. While Amaya wouldn’t fuss about having to finish cleaning, she was enjoying her time with Akeru and she didn’t want to scare him away with her criticism. Normally, the girl would be humming during mundane work such as this, but she fought the urge since she was in another’s presence. She only hummed aloud for herself and for her brothers. After all, Amaya wasn’t a spotlight kind of person, so anything that could be misconstrued as a performance was both daunting and unattractive to the child. However, with how comfortable she was around Akeru it was difficult not to slip into her habits. In order to stay away from the melody that tickled her mind, the Keiji focused on a particularly fitful spot and she dug into the wood with her mop in an attempt to clear it from the grain.

Just because water conforms does not mean it is any lesser an element.

Had Akeru known what that small body was thinking, he probably would've been quite impressed by such quick processing of thoughts. But as he did not, he busied himself with focusing on the immediate task at hand. After all, what good would panicking do for himself or Amaya? Panicking won't get this job cleaned up any faster... And besides that, if she had a better approach, he would let the expert handle it naturally. He wouldn't want to be 'dead weight' and in her way so to speak, but he remained attentive so that if Amaya wanted to direct him to a specific place, he would be ready.

As he noticed her pushing the desk, he grew nervous and worried again, stopping his moping only to reach out towards her direction, intent fully on helping. But she managed to achieve whatever she had been thinking by herself... With a bit of childish disappointment, he settled himself back to the task he had apparently been tacitly entrusted with. Granted, when she approached him and settled to work near him, he was just the slightest bit mollified by her beaming smile, but he still wished that she would've asked for help. Then again to be fair: he had that problem to a more severe degree, didn't he?

Their hair was certainly a testimony.

+5 to Amaya

Cleaning
It was a bit hard to manage with only one hand, but Akeru is quite stubbornly intent to spare the custodian the outrage of cleaning up blood...

Rinkou frowned from being tossed about like that, it wasn't something that made her happy, but she was impressed by his speed to catch her. She composed herself and thought of a way to get back at him.
She loosened herself up, and then got ready for what was seemingly a punch, she even had the boxer pose going. She started to jump around a little, in a taunting manner, to make the boy confused on what she was actually going to do, for she kept changing her posture now and then, as if not sure what to actually do, but she knew exactly what to do, she just wanted to make sure he was unprepared for what she was about to do.
She suddenly jumped back a bit, at just the right distance and then suddenly did a spin kick, which was quite quick, her foot zooming right in front of the boy's face, causing a bit of a breeze. She then suddenly stopped spinning, put her foot down, went down, came forward quickly to do a elbow to the stomach. She didn't hit it though, but she did playfully poke his stomach with her elbow.
She then backed away from him quickly, and poked out her tongue in a playful manner. Making it obvious Takami wasn't the only one who could do combos. She grinned a bit, and got ready for his next move.
"Your turn, show me what have you got!"
