"Oh Rae she's not as docile and calm as she appears. Tara is about the most hyper thing in the world." Suka rubbed the bridge of her nose just thinking about it. Tara always wanted to be around Trescot, but since Rae and Lysander had him almost all the time (which irked Suka beyond comprehension), Suka had to deny her daughter the permission.

"Well, if you two ever need a break, Lysander and I are always here. Trescot can get pretty energetic, and he loves having Tara around," Rae offered, wondering if maybe Suka and Andrew just needed a break. Especially since Suka was pregnant again. Odd to think her best friend was about to give birth to her second child, while Rae still felt far from ready to have one of her own. She had Trescot, and even if not related by blood, she loved him.

Suka smiled at Rae, nodding. "Alright Rae." Suka just couldn't visualize Rae having her own, blood child. It just didn't seem right to Suka for some reason. Rae already had Trescot, and last she checked, Lysander didn't want a son or daughter of his own. He certainly went to great lengths to prevent Suka from becoming pregnant while they were mated.

"So is it really so bad to be pregnant? I know Lysander wants a child, but the idea kinda scares me," she admitted sheepishly. At first she was afraid of being a bad mother, but Trescot seemed to have taken to her. So now it was the idea of actually carrying a child. But, even if Lysander wanted to have a son or daughter that he shared genetics with, he seemed patient. Willing to wait until Rae was ready.

"Yes Rae, it really is so bad." Suka didn't realize the statement might discourage Rae, but she didn't seem to want to adhere to Lysander's wishes. "The worst part is labor." Suka pointed out, a soft groan escaping.

If Rae's fox ears would have been out, they certainly would have flattened at Suka's reply. It wasn't that she didn't want a child, just that the thought made her a bit nervous. "Oh..." she said quietly, glad when the waitress finally came out with their meals. They probably needed a change of topic beyond children.

Suka mumbled thank you to the waitress in some language then began to eat slowly. Suka herself wasn't hungry, but it wasn't herself that she was worried about. The baby was now her number one concern. "Moving on." Suka stated quickly, noting the change in Rae's attitude.

Rae took a ravenous bite of bacon, glad for the taste of real meat once again. "I love Trescot and his vegetarianism, but gods that was good," she said with a laugh, instantly back to her bright, cheery self. It took a lot to keep Rae upset, and often very little to make her feel better. "Did you still plan on taking him to Oregon? I know he would be happy to have some time with you," she asked curiously, knowing that even though Trescot lived with her, he still loved Suka immensely. She loved that he was so caring of his family, but the whole mother issue still tore Rae apart. A slight chuckle escaped her lips. Maybe we should all just buy a house together. He could have both mother figures, Tara could have someone to play with...
