Fable's eyes would glint as he turned to face his opponent, heels digging into the ground as he hunched forward and prepared to grab at the grass around him to better his hold. The Charmander's tail flicked absently.
It was then something unexpected would occur, something he hadn't heard terribly often as of late...the voice of his Trainer. "Fable, counter with Fire Punch" Raven gave the command, arms crossed against his chest. He'd remained far too silent as of late. A trainer was supposed to give his Pokemon direction, to see what they could not and plan accordingly. A task he'd been neglecting, allowing his Pokemon to run wild...well no longer.
Fable's tail would snap sharply to one side. Some Pokemon might have been annoyed or surprised by the sudden order, but to this Fire-Type the boy's words were more precious then gold. If it was Raven's will, it would be done.
Letting loose a heavy breath, the Charmander would release a slow reptilian hiss. Straining his posture, the Fire-Type would glare daggers at the Scyther, a smirk touching the corners of his mouth. Tail flicking to the other side, the Charmader would pass his arm through the flame; a surprisingly casual gesture.
Then he'd do the unexpected, relaxing his heels briefly, the Charmander would abruptly hurl himself forward, allowing the Vacuum Wave to suck him in. Such an attack was meant to draw one in closer, and he was going to let it. Arm held back, Fable would allow the air current to do the rest of the work for him, he simply focused on keeping the flames upon his limb burning, allowing them to get bigger, brighter. He was going to light this insect up like a bonfire!

This time ...the attack would burn ....as she lost her concentration seeing it coming at her. The wind died down, but it wasn't enough to stop him before he hit her ...as she was sent flying backwards with her feet digging a trench in the ground. A fist sized burn was on her chest as she would drop her blades into the earth.
Her eyes sparkled with rage ....and she was just angry. She was pissed .....as she realized that she had been countered, and since she had counter-attacked one time before she would shift to a defensive stance this time.
Anger sparked in her eyes.

The Durant he passed was only one ....as he came around the bit of foliage he would be confronted by another. While the first was simply a gatherer ...this one was a guard, and it clacked it's jaws dangerously as it advances on him.
This time, the Durant wasn't going to easily let him by.

Tsuki, seeing the second Durant, gave a weary look and said "Listen, I'm trying to leave your lands. You want me out and that's what I'm attempting to do. Please. Just let me pass and you won't have to see my ugly face again." With that he began to attempt a circle around the STEEL/BUG type. Archer hopped behind, getting impatient that the journey back to town was taking forever.

"Strike with another Fire Punch, aim for her wings!" Raven gave the command, his voice sharp and cold as a winters morn. He would sit on the sidelines off battle no longer, that wasn't what a proper trainer did...and perhaps that was exactly what had brought him so close to defeat in the gym. He needed to mend his ways...to grow stronger, and then pound that old smith's face in!....to...uh...show his improvement of course.
Of course Fable was ignorant to the inner ramblings of his trainer...which was likely for the best.
Thrust back by the blow and the return of gravities pull upon his body, the Charmander flicked his tail, causing the flame upon to tip to produce a sharp crackling sound. Flaring his nostrils, the reptile watched his opponent carefully for a moment, all the while his eyes turning a deeper shade of red. As always his body unknowingly sought out the strength of madness...
Clenching his fists, Fable would kick off the ground with as little warning as he could muster. Passing his arm through the flame of his tail as easily as if it were breathing, the Charmander suddenly rolled and leaped, aiming to strike the Scyther as Raven command; in the wing. No part of it's body could be more vulnerable to attack...not to mention flammable. Insect wings were after all only made of a thin membrane!

But her wings would pull back swiftly as the flames would sweep through the air. She smirked, because such a move brought him ......terribly ...terribly close to her. Her blades glint sharply into the light ....as she drew her feet through the ground as she churns up the soil, and then ...with lightning speed she struck with her two blades. Each one aimed to cut deep grooves into the side of the pokemon ....each slice tearing into the side of her opponent with enough force to easily slice through bone.
If he was unlucky to be caught in that flush of movement he would deeply regret it as the Scyther looks over and showed fangs towards Raven as she struck.

Though the Durant looks at him ....as it claps it's mandibles closed and open quite fearsomely. The pokemon didn't like being told what to do, nor being given good reason for it .....as the pokemon acts as though it was going to attack her. Yet, the pokemon watches as the trainer slunk around her ...was it worth it to attack. no she was to protect the nest.
This was her mission as she watches him move away ...ready to spring if he made any movements near her.

"Ignite your arms, use them as a shield!" Raven barked, sweeping his right arm through the air. A wall of flame didn't do any good to actually block an attack, but against a creature which feared the flame by instinct it would be the perfect defense. A deterrent the Scyther would be unable to ignore!
Crossing his arms over his body, Fable would allow the flames to spread from one arm to the other, releasing more of his natural oils to cause the fire to burn bigger and brighter then before. It wasn't exactly a wall, but it was plenty more then any Bug-Type aught to be comfortable with!
And that's when Fable would take the chance, spinning through the air to swing his fist in a Fire Punch! Despite not having an order he'd counter at his own risk!

Like heck he'd get near that Durant. He kept a respectable distance, never nearing for an instant. She was defending something so he'd try to get away as soon as possible. Once he got around her, he turned and continued his path back to town. "Well, that was close." Tsuki said to Archer as the duo walked on. He'd have to ask Excell if he could return later when he was more prepared. Or something of the sort.

Hp- 2 to Fable
The attack would collide even as she was shocked in surprise ...she wasn't looking for a counter-attack considering how much of his muscles he had used before hand. She would come forward ....then as her rage ran through her. She was painful ....and anger at the entire situation as she came at him with her full force then. Her movements were quite fluid ....as she would drop one shoulder and then attack with another Vacuum Wave.
There was murder in her eyes this time as she sent the attack rushing forward.

((You forgot the Burn.))
Fable HP: 20As flames washed over the body of the Scyther, Fable would find himself flung backward by his own attack. Striking the ground, the reptile would grit his teeth as he felt a tearing sensation along the muscles of his arm. It wasn't a true tear of course, simply his body protesting his own foolishness. His action had been reckless...but perhaps entirely worth it.
Assuming he managed to survive this next blow of course.
Scrambling to his feet, the Charmander would display the original defense he had prepared for such an attack. Digging his heels into the ground, Fable would take hold of anything he could. Claws would snatch at grass, his tail would slide behind the root of a nearby dead log. Anything to anchor him against the ground and avoid those deadly blades!
((In hindsight I realize this to be my attack turn...but the results would be the same anyway...so...I don't feel there's much point to editing the post. sweatdrop ))
(20 - 10) + (13 - 12) = 11 x 2 = 22 DMG

Tsuki's travels would finally bring him to the edge of the forest ....as suddenly one by one....the area in front of him seemed to catch fire. An oddity amongst oddities would show itself then ...the only pokemon that existed in this area that didn't belong to the steel type nor would ever as the blue flames started to make a circle like a birthday cake around them.
A laugh that was from the past, present, and future went on around him.
((Lookie ..lookie so much fun ...to burn and char the enemies of ours, from the past, present and future days. Oh how I enjoy this every day))
There would be no escape this time as the litwick would appear one ....after the other until he was surrounded by that ghostly ring.

((It's okay ....I completely understand))
The scyther was in pain as she felt her side stitch even as the pain of the burn blazed in her chest. she couldn't believe she allowed herself to be harm in such a way as one of her blades went into the ground as she tried to keep her feet underneath her. Sweat ran down the side of her face ....she was hot so hot ....as the burn pulse, and she waited for her next opponent. She wasn't going to run away from her pain nor her destiny.
She would make this human pay for stepping one foot into their territory ...as her eyes narrowed and she waited to see what he would call out next. Her body shaking from the strain of her burns.

Raven gave an irritated cluck of his tongue as Fable fell forward, body ravaged by the Scyther's assault. He'd been hoping to train the Charmander a little further while on this island. To unlock the Fire-Types true potential and crush the Gym Leader...but perhaps that would have to wait for another day. He was not yet strong enough, and using any Pokemon other then Fable promised a tiresome battle not worth the time. He could learn something by rising victorious over a Gym Leader, but the time it would take to win would be time he could have used to train himself more so.
Still, that was thoughts intended for later. Right here and now he had a Scyther to deal with...one which would receive the punishment due for what she had deprived him. Fable had almost been ready...of that he was certain.
Grabbing the third ball upon his belt, the next thing the Scyther would see was a flash of steel as wings spread wide and a figure that should have never been capable of the act took flight.
Circling high above Crowe let out an ear splitting cry. Another insect...delightful. Perhaps this time he would be able to make a proper meal of this creature!
Pokemon: Skarmory [M] Name & Level: Crowe, Lv 5 [Temperament] Bold Bio: Crowe was first encountered upon the second ring of Beginner Island amidst a crater. With wings that shimmered like steel, the bird no less landed upon the ground and challenged Raven to a duel directly. Battle fiercely against Genn, the conflict seemed to take an eternity as the two near immovable objects clashed. With a swift hand, Raven was able to throw a single PokeBall and capture the bird...with a slight chase soon to follow. Struck by the ball in the air, the capsule soon flew over the side of the crater, forcing Raven to pursue it by sliding down the side upon Genn's back. During the process of which the boy encountered a Sneasel...and soon both he and it were hanging off the crater by a branch. After a struggle and much dramatics, Raven was able to retrieve the ball, and save the little Dark-Type he had accidentally placed in a perilous situation. Since then Crowe has shown a strong sense of honour, reacting to nearly every battle as if it were a duel with that very thing on the line. Stats: HP: 23/23, PP: 20, ATK: 12, DEF: 22, SPD: 13, SP-ATK: 10, SP-DEF: 13 MOVES: - Peck - Leer - Brave Bird Held Item: EXP: 210/400

The sight of the metal bird made her tremble lightly. She knew what she was facing this time ...a creature of this island, one she would have normally avoided with the haste and rational of a creature that recognized it's predator. Though maybe this one was too domesticated to see her as such, and for that reason alone she took the risk as she drew her claws into the ground and aimed her attack upwards at the flying creature.
This Scyther was no fool, in a battle of flight ...that pokemon had her beat and she knew it. Beside, he was fresh while she still stung with the wounds of the last battle, if she managed to keep her life she would be lucky indeed as she aimed her Vaccum wave upwards at her opponent.
