There was only the briefest second for a familiar song to start playing in Roch's mind before he was swallowed whole.

He would totally have nightmares about this later.

(Moure entering from Group Four thread.))

So, there was one aspect of the room that Moure had not been expecting.

It was empty.

Moure's eyebrows rose, slight concern poking into his brain due to the fact that the Runner had seen Roch leave to this room. Now though, where was the reaper?

Still skeptically glancing around the room, Moure walked in and took a seat at one of the chairs. Yup. Definitely alone. It was the first time he'd actually been the only one somewhere during this whole 'field trip'. There were some strange decorations though... Like there seemed to be some kind of...mouth-like structure on one wall.

But besides that, Moure was more or less alone. How strange.

Royalty ignored the new jester who had entered the room. He stared at the wall for a moment longer before lowering to the floor, lifting the strap to the saddle bag and slowly dragging it along the ground in a wide circle while he thought. He wondered if Slouchy would be coming back soon. Royalty sure hoped so.

Herpy tumbled into the hub right above the patchwork boil. It spotted the other boo in the center of the room, and gently floated forward to stare at it intently. It was wearing some kind of hat. How odd. But then, in its brief existence, it had seen some truly odd things, and generally felt it wasn't its place to judge.

It spared a glance for the mouth on the wall. Huh. It flew over to it and... headbutted it lightly. Those lips...so SMOOTH.

It had found a new best friend. Goodbye, unicorn bottom. Hello, macabre sense of decorating. Got any plans later?

With a sigh and a wink, Herpy drifted back through the wall. He had a feeling he was needed...elsewhere.

Royalty dropped the bag and looked up suddenly. He needed to go. With a determined look he turned and shouted at the mouth on the wall:

"I will get to see Slouchy again!" With that, he shot through a different wall, to get some work done.

((Entering from Trap))

Herryk expected to see Freya in the hub when he returned. No, that was a lie. He knew she wouldn't be there. Herryk hoped she would, but deep down he knew she wouldn't.

Sending a glance towards the single boil that was in the room with him, Herryk crumpled to his knees and slammed a fist into the floor.

((entering from the room))
By being first out of the room, the frost demon had meant to use the little time she had to think through what she was going to say to her group mates. Unfortunately, that....wouldn't be the case as she saw a black, hulking figure slamming his fist into the floor.

And then there was Moure.

Oh this was going to get awkward really quickly.

Edel looked away and touched her bruised lip hoping the patchwork boil wouldn't notice it. Injuries, it seemed, weren't uncommon takeaways from this ordeal but that one.....

Well.

She should probably be less conscious about it, then perhaps it would go unnoticed.

It took the frost demon a while to absorb the situation, why Herryk would be so distraught. ....He was looking pretty roughed up too. It then struck her. Oh no.

Hey....” she addressed the draugr, bracing herself for the worst. “w-what happened?

((Entering from Room))

Lattice had followed Lizzy into the Hub but ended up a bit ahead of her somehow either way she looked around to see what shapes she could recognize. She saw Edel and a couple of others though her gaze froze upon the mentally (and physically) defeated form of Herryk. Lattice wasn't sure how to cope with the view of him postured as he was and even worse she wasn't sure how or why this was.

...Wait where was Freya?

Where were his other groupmates?

She wandered closer toward the larger form, "Herryk?" She'd come in when Edel had asked the question it didn't need to be asked again.

Herryk glanced up at the blue-haired ghoul, his face a mixture of rage and distress. His lip was curled up in a half-snarl, teeth bared and eyes narrowed.

"There was a mouth," he exhaled, "on the wall. The first time, Herryk and Christof and Calder and Freya went into the mouth to find Barth. Barth was there on a couch." He paused for a moment, mouth pinching in distaste.

"There were also false-reapers. They had Barth. Christof and Herryk hit traps and came back here. Freya and Calder were there still." Herryk gestured at the wall, "A mouth came back. Herryk, Roch and Christof went back in. Freya was not there, and Freya is not here, and," the draugr smashed his fist into the floor again, "Herryk does not know where Freya is." The last few words were spoken in anguish.

"Herryk was beaten again and is now back here. Christof and Calder and Barth are still there. They are outnumbered. These false-reapers are ruthless. They seem impossible to kill."

Having explained the current situation, Herryk dragged himself over to Lattice. Pausing on his knees before her, Herryk looked lost. Drained. Like a child seeking comfort, Herryk buried his face against Lattice's stomach and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Herryk fears the worst for Freya, Lattice. Herryk is.. he is afraid." His voice broke on the last word, muffled against Lattice's stomach.

((Entering from Trap))

FEAR circled in the air, then started solidifying, forming into a familiar punk reaper laying on the ground, looking like utter crap. "Jaaaaack dammit," he moaned, reaching up and running a hand over his face. He had barely any strength, and a serious hate-on for that evil candlejackin' female not reaper. Her laughter was still echoing in his head, along with the sound of an explosion.

He didn't even know where he was now. But he wasn't sure he really cared.

((Entering from Its a Trap))

The hunchback rolled into the hallway in pieces, groaning faintly as his body slumped some good several yards away from where his head had rolled. His brain was spinning even though his decapitated appendage had stopped moving. His arm was... somewhere. Under a chair, no doubt.

He didn't feel like pulling himself together.

He had failed his Master... he had failed Calder... they should just put him out of his misery.

Moure noticed the boos fluttering around before hearing the sounds of people showing up, finally. He brushed a hand against Edel's pendant that was around his neck, making sure it was still there before looking to the doors. The poor patchwork'd been sitting in that room for what had seemed like quite some time, so people showing up might be a good thing.

First came in a large dark figure who promptly punched the floor. Moure's eyebrow raised, but he wasn't exactly sure was to say to the poor guy. Something must've gone horribly wrong where-ever he'd come from.

And then there was Edel.

Moure's eyes immediately brightened as he saw the frost demon, and saw that she was still alive and alright. He gave her a grin, standing from the chair and giving her a wave. She seemed to be trying to hide something, but Moure couldn't tell from this distance.

He walked over just in time to hear the hulky figure explain what had happened. That explained why everyone had been gone, they must've been eaten by the wall before Moure had arrived. The patchwork gave a sympathetic nod of his head, not knowing how else to help. Moure glanced over to Edel, looking her over to make sure she was still okay. "You alright?" He asked quietly, not wanting to interupt the hulk's talk with the ghoul with needles through her arms, but still needed to make sure the frost demon was okay. One of her lips looked a little hurt, after all. Moure hoped that was the only thing that had happened to her since he'd last seen her in the front yard.

And then Roch appeared. His teammate looked badly hurt, and Moure gave him a worried look. He thought of the pumpkin pill in his pocket, then glanced between Edel and Roch. Moure himself was still in perfect condition from before the attempted rescue of Edel's team, after all. Would Roch need to be healed?

And there were suddenly Parts scattered across the floor...Wait wasn't that Christof? What had happened to his neighbor? Moure suddenly got the feeling that he was really, really happy that he'd taken some time to wait before coming in. Otherwise he might've looked like Roch or Christof by now.

Edel was rather terrified at how the draugr looked at her, but mostly because his face showed that something had just gone really, really wrong. She bit down on her lip as the boil began to recount the events that occured – the false reapers had used Barth as a bait! They tried to rescue his, wait, a mouth?! The ghoul looked around the room for a sign of the mouth Herryk had mentioned – nothing. Edel shook with anger as she continued to listen to Herryk – outnumbered...impossible to kill...some of them were now missing

This was what she had feared the most. She knew this was going to happen. So, WHY?! The frost demon was kicking herself for it.

Edel couldn't bring herself to look at Lattice and the broken Herryk for a number of reasons. Her head was a blur of dizzying thoughts – what to do now, how do we find them – no, how do we find the Professor and the boogeyman. And if they had to fight, they'd better get more people to outnumber them instead. Don't get flustered now she tried calming herself down think rationally. And this time, try to ..... voice your opinion slowly and less aggressively. Argh, what the jack seriously. The frost demon pulled her hair back, there was minimal effort put into veiling the fact that she was extremely worried and deep in thought.

Still, she should say something to comfort Herryk – but she didn't really know how to put it nicely. Or if she should put it nicely at all.

I...don't think ....they're dead.” she swallowed, feeling annoyed with herself at how comforting that was. “Freya...those false reapers have probably caught her – but they won't do anything to her ....yet” the last word was spoken with a regretful whisper. Edel hated herself for saying that. Freya might be in one of those cages she had been in now.....

There is still a chance to save them!” she burst out,”we need to find Professor Red or Cee to pass on the message – perhaps they could help with something. O-or if we're to break them out, we should gather more people and do it together.” Wait. How exactly did they come all together, the last time they broke them out? There was a little pause before to turned to Moure and asked “How....did you all get to us the last time. I mean, there were quite a number of groups I'd have to assume?” Yeah, that's right – who organised the previous escape? The mysterious Lady? She didn't answer his previous question amidst the mess of thoughts in her head.

Those thoughts were shoved aside as a very battered Roch began to appear – at least he's safe. And now appeared a very battered patchwork Igor. Oh jack.

Edel fumbled through her pockets and drew out the silver bell she received from the boogeyman earlier. ...Right, she hadn't told her group about that....

Lattice, I'm sorry I didn't tell you and the others about this earlier-” really, was there a need to explain? “Oh gosh, I'm sorry if you think this is selfish of me again-” Her words were cut off as she began to ring the bell, drawing FEAR from herself and amplifying it so it made its way around the room.

----
Edel's HP: 15 - 5 = 10

Lattice, Moure, Christof, Herryk and Roch's HP: all +6

Number of uses left: 2

Quote:
THE BELL:
Edel now has a bell. At the cost of -5 HP, she can heal up to five other people she picks for 3d4. It has three uses. Should Edel dissipate, the bell will disappear. The bell is linked to Edel's Fear and can only be used by her. She cannot target herself for the heal. Should Edel make it to the end of the meta with uses left on it, the bell will become an ordinary bell and do nothing.
