Giotto Decimo Shinsetsu
Genin ▪ Taijutsu Class ▪ Chakra 180/180 ▪ Stamina 320/320 ▪ Bloodline Subclass ▪ AC: 1,500 ▪ Shinsetsu Bloodline

"What can be more beautiful than doing a job that puts your soul at risk? That's what it means to be alive! The one thing worse than death is to avert your eyes from it. Look straight at the people you kill. Don't take your eyes off them for a second. And don't ever forget them, because I promise that they won't forget you."

Giotto sighed softly, stepping slowly into the Dojo. He had assumed Kazama would be here, but it seemed he either missed his twin, or he never came to the Dojo. Shrugging his shoulders he decided to simply train and ask his brother what was wrong after he was done. Walking over to the Bukijutsu section of the Dojo he retrieved the scroll for the Santoryu style, deciding it was finally time to begin training his sword art. Seeing what was required to learn them the red-haired genin sighed in annoyance, summoning a single Katana from his glove. Unsheathing the blade he turned to one of the training dummies, beginning his training. Rushing forward swiftly, he began slashing at the dummy, attempting to condense his movements to give them more speed and power. Backing off from the post slowly, he settled into a basic stance. Unsheathing his blade he gave a swift slice forward, cutting a part of the straw dummy off. Nodding to himself he went back into the normal stance, unsheathing it before dashing forward with a single swift forward slash. He began repeating this process slowly, beginning to finally understand how to make his slashes faster. Slashing forward he sighed, the straw dummy finally running out of use as he sliced through it. Walking over to a new training dummy the red-haired male grunted in annoyance, settling into his previous stance. It seemed he would be destroying a lot of the dummies in his time training this style. He didn't mind much though, it gave him something to do while bored. Slicing forward in a swift slash, he watched his blade easily slide through the wood and straw of the dummy. Thankfully his single slice didn't destroy it, like he assumed it would. Sighing in relief he relaxed his stance, feeling he had a decent enough grasp on the basics of what he was learning. With that done he stood up slowly, walking out of the dojo slowly.

Things were getting a bit interesting, well the conversations in the Dojo at least. Now that she was off to do training on her own, all she had to do was try to recall what she had been taught in the past about the Konoha Taijutsu style. Nodding to him as she left Izumi couldn’t help but feel a bit more at ease. It was not always easy to train when someone was watching your every move. The feeling of being judged could weigh down on a person, especially if you were the same age as Izumi and still remained a genin. Placing herself in front of a dummy Izumi took in a few breathes to call herself down as her mind pictured what she was going to attempt. She had been told that visually seeing for a moment what you desired helped in doing it. Lanching herself at the dummy she would just do a simple kick which was easy enough for one of the first stages techniques. They only really got difficult after the second one if memory served correct. It would be the area around her ankle that would come in contact with the dummy. Falling back on the ground, she would almost instantly push her feet against the floor propelling her body to move forward again, going in for another kind of strike using different kind of technique to hit the dummy various times. Izumi continued doing this various times, doing techniques of the first stage one after another in various combinations and other times until she believed this had been understood and she had it down.

Taking a break from her previous taijutsu training on the Konoha style Izumi rested her body, cooling off from the recent exercise as well as stretching her muscles and body so they would not be too tense the next day. Knowing full well how the human body worked, this female knew pretty much exactly how to do such a thing depending on the location it was more stressed in the muscle. Being quite a grown woman, her stretching did not go unseen. A few guys knew her age noticed and watched for a bit until one of them recognized who she was. How could he not, they had been in the academy together and he was full aware of her past medical conditions. Walking over to her calmly he tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention. Standing up straight Izumi looked at him for a moment before realizing who it was. “Kaito? Is that really you? Wow you’ve gotten taller.” She stated quite delighted to see an old acquaintance. He smiled back at her and of course commented on a few things. “And you too. No longer a scrawny little thing now are you?” Nope she was not. She was a full grown woman now. After some catching up they both got a brief summary of what they each had been doing until that day. He congratulated her on becoming a genin once more and was nice enough to offer to help her with remembering some of the taijutsu techniques. “Well aren’t you a doll?” She smiled at him playfully poking his nose. “Sure, fill free to help me out. It is much better then using a dummy after all.” Deciding some fresh air would not hurt they did it on the outside part of the dojo, each facing each other with some distance. “Well, Izumi you come at me first. I am merely just going to block and react to what you send at me. You just want to train the attacks right? So it really isn’t necessary for me to fight back.” She agreed with it and it was smart too. Just as long as he blocked it should be good enough for her training. She could possibly do the whole battle training with her Sensei. Rolling her shoulders Izumi got her body warmed up and ready. “Get ready Kaito!” Taking up a stance Izumi would then rush in. Knowing that he wasn’t going to dodge as he promised she didn’t have to worry about adjusting her movement to avoid missing him. Lowering her body she got low to the ground when she was right next to him, pulling a knee upwards in his direction quite suddenly. He however blocked it with his bare hands with almost no effort. If that hit had been a success she would have been able to hurl him away but that was not the objective. The objective was knowing if she still knew how to perform the stuff. "Good good. Bring out more of what you know Izu-chan." Well that was an old nickname, oh well. Keeping near him she would this time bring an arm at him as hard as she could, with not her fist but her palm, hitting his own palm with her own. His smile let her know that things were going pretty much ok, for what they wanted at least. Jumping in the air he was going to allow her to practice some of the midair techniques. Jumping after him Izumi would wrap her legs around him and twist her body in such a way that when she let go of him his body would be sent flying to the ground crashing, but that was not what happened. She didn't intend to cause him pain, nor did he want to go through that either. He landed pretty much unharmed after doing a few maneuvers to fix his position. "You have gotten a bit stronger, but you could still use some work. Your technique seems pretty good though. But that is just me. I'm still just a chunnin after all." For a good amount of time they kept at it until she had gone through quite a few of the second stage techniques for the Konoha style. Once they had both thought of it as enough they took a break. Izumi was not done. Although she had been told to learn the konoha style there was one she had been learning during the past two years she wanted to test out on her old friend. Just because her sensei told her to do something did not mean she couldn't do more and she figured she still had a little bit of time.

During their break the two of them obvious continued chatting with possibly a few flirts here and there in the middle but nothing serious. It was just some fun for old times sake and it was interesting how the two of them had grown so much. Or well, that was what he kept on thinking. Izumi really was not paying too much attention on him. She was even nice enough to give him a slight shoulder rub. It was the least she could do after all, he was helping her out and the company was nice. Training alone could be so dull and boring. She should know, she'd been basically doing that for 2 years. Izumi did not want to take too long of a break. She wanted to get a move on with her techniques. Especially this Pi Qua Quan one. Getting back onto her feet she nearly had to drag him onto them as well so he could get a move on and keep training her. "Fine, fine... working hard today aren't you?" She merely shrugged. "I have missed out on quite a bit, sue me for wanting to catch up?" They both chuckled and took their positions. "This time Kaito, you come to me, it works better for this that way." He smirked at her. "I don't know if I want to, seems dangerous" He of course was joking. He didn't think she really had what it took to really hurt him. He was curious to know what it was she was going to pull on him. To want him to attack her meant she was most likely going to work on something that was a bit more defensive then really offensive. When both were ready he came at her with an attack, one she recognized easily after all she herself had just been training one of them. Calming her spirit she took up the right stance and waited, timing her movements perfectly so that she could not simply dodge but rather counter attack in a way that she ended up using, more like manipulate, his energy and strength against him. Quickly placing her hands on specific areas on his extended arm she would put pressure against them while her body went into the movement as well. Lightly sidestepping out of the way she would spin at the same time kicking him in the chest. He stumbled back a bit in search for breath. Well that was unexpected. Quickly recovering he came at her again, but once more she was good at counter attacking him. The style was quite different from Konoha's. It was not his kind of fighting style though. Konoha suited him much much better. Just like before they continued like this for quite a while with him going to strike her only for her to counterstrike before he got the chance, whenever she succeeded of course. There were times Izumi slipped up and failed, getting hit instead. But by the end of it they were both tired and decided it was plenty for the day.

Jun Kimura
Genin - Konohagakure - Ninjutsu/Taijutsu - Katon
AC = 0 - Ryo = 0 - Chakra = 275 - Stamina = 225

Having had more than a long enough break, Jun put out her cigarette and got back to work. First she would meditate on water, how it flowed, how it was always soft, and then she attacked the training dummy. By meditating on water, her punch had more penetrating power, cracking not only the hard shell of the dummy but the inside of it as well.

[Post 1/1 Learned Water: Drilling]

In the seconds that her hand pulled back, Jun's mind was already meditating on the wood. How the tree branches spread high in the sky and how the roots spread out in the ground. Her transition from a punch to a round house kick was much faster than before, her hips turning as she hit the side of the training dummy with a powerful kick.

[Post 1/1 Learned Wood: Smothering]

Not wishing to lose her momentum, Jun moved on to the next technique that she had learned by reading the scroll. Jun took a small step towards the training dummy, her body coiling before she rushed forward. She struck the face of the dummy quickly with a reverse punch, her punch as fast as possible for a genin of her caliber.

[Post 1/1 Learned Coiling Snake]

Giving a small hop back, Jun readied herself to practice the next technique in the list. She bent at the knees before raising up with one knee close to her chest. As her hips lifted her up, she delivered a powerful front kick, followed by pushing off with her back leg that came forward mid jump to deliver another strong, jumping front kick.

[Post 1/1 Learned Extending Rooster]

The next technique was a simple enough defensive counter to learn. Jun simply stepped back, imagining an incoming attack and then mimicked the open palm attack in her scroll. It would either push an attack out of the way, or, in the case that Jun was using, would hit the target with a powerful strike to the chest.

[Post 1/1 Learned Bear Withdrawing]

This final technique of stage two was quite simple and a means of defense at the same time. Jun took a stance, one hand open and fingers spanning out at top, the other hand moving around in a circle. With the help of another shinobi, she used her technique well, turning her hips as she intercepted a punch with her top hand and pushing it out of the way, turning the other and leaving him open for an attack.

[Post 1/1 Learned Phoenix Spanning and Turning]

The next technique would be a little more complicated, but Jun wanted one or two more powerful techniques from Xing-yi before she moved on to anything else. Looking over the scroll to make sure she had read the techniques right, Jun put it away in her pocket to read later. Then she would get into position in front of the training dummy, preparing for her attack and going over the steps in her mind.

[Post 1/2]

Shifting down into her stance, Jun moved her back leg into a powerful round house kick aimed at the knee area of the training dummy. As soon as the foot of her attacking leg hit the ground, she had enough momentum to spin and deliver a side elbow to the back of the dummy's head now that she had their back. Finally she delivered that same elbow, driving it down into the shoulder of the dummy in an attack that would have floored an opponent.

[Post 2/2 Learned Lion Sweeping and Chopping]

The next follow up technique that could be used in conjunction with Lion Sweeping and Chopping would be a little easier in a way. Of course Jun would need a training dummy more suited for the task. So she found one that was more mobile than the usual ones and that could be knocked down to the ground.

[Post 1/2]

Rushing towards the training dummy, Jun jumped into the air, bringing both knees up so that they would slam into the dummy's face. One hand kept a hold of it's shoulder so that she could turn in the air and hang on as it fell to the ground. Falling on top of the dummy, her knees came into contact with it's back before pinning the dummy down where she punched it a couple of times.

This next technique required help from another person so that Jun could learn it correctly. After quickly going over the Sunagakure Taijutsu style scroll, Jun put it away before facing her training partner. He came in with a kick, which Jun caught before moving low enough to let her other hand grab his other ankle. With some pushing and pulling, she yanked the male off his feet, making him spin a bit in the air before having him land on his back.

[Post 1/1 Learned Fukanro]

For the next technique of the Sunigakure style, all that Jun needed was a training dummy. Pretending that it was coming at her with an attack, the genin spun, turning around completely in a 360 degree spin. Using the momentum from that spin, Jun brought her fist into an uppercut that made the dummy violently bend back and forth on the spot.

[Post 1/1 Learned Teishitsu-Jouhai-Sho]

A final taijutsu technique that Jun wanted to learn before going off to the academy to learn some ninjutsu was a defensive technique that might come in handy. The only thing needed was another sparring partner instead of just a training dummy. Luckily for Jun, they were of no short supply in the dojo and she found another to help her practice the technique.

[Post 1/2]

With help from her training partner, Jun got into her stance and intercepted the kick aimed for her hair. She blocked it with her arms after sliding her leg forward, keeping it there until she pushed it straight up and high. Then with her forward leg, she turned and swept her partner's leg out from beneath him, causing the male to fall onto his back and leave him wide open for an attack.

[Post 2/2 Learned Kasui-Sho]

Feeling that she had learned enough taijutsu for now, Jun turned and headed for the exit of the dojo so that she could go to the academy.

(Exit to the academy.)

Next on her list of missions to complete was finding any spare projectiles such as shuriken, senbon, or kunai that were simply discarded. According to the details of the mission, apparently any that she found could be used to make new items and such. It seemed like a way to pinch pennies to her, but either way it would seem like easy enough money. There was bound to be one or two forgotten projectiles lying around.

[Post 1/3]

The first logical place to check was around the training dummies of course. Jun had expected them to be riddled with forgotten projectiles, yet surprisingly there was only very few to be found. Apparently either the shinobi of Konoha were more frugal than she had expected or someone else had come through to clean up. Either way, Jun began to look closer, finding one or two shuriken lodged in the first few dummies she had inspected before moving on to the rest.

[Post 2/3]

The rest of the training dummies did not provide much but at least some was better than nothing. Jun moved as quickly as possible since there were still shinobi training. It was not so much a desire to not keep them waiting so much as it was a desire not to get hit by anything. The last thing she wanted was to get stuck with something sharp and potentially lethal as she was busy yanking kunai and shuriken out of training dummies.

[Post 3/3 Completed Metal Deposits]

With the last of the projectiles collected into a bag, Jun left to hand them off to whoever wanted them before going off onto her next mission.

He could have just taken the door out, but no, Kein had to poof in style to leave her place. Shaking her head she wondered why he hadn't just left the way he had come. Oh well. Izumi did not understand men sometimes, nor was she sure she ever wanted to. Not having any fancy moves like him, Izumi headed down to the dojo like any normal human being. Once there she would head her way to way Kein was.

She shook her head lightly upon being called a slow poke. "You were the one in a rush. And perhaps it would be handy but i still would not use it so carelessly." She shrugged casually. "I like a nice calm walk now and then." She smiled at him sweetly. When instructed on what they would be doing she nodded. "Alright. I'll do my best." Taking up a fighting stance her purple eyes gazed at him. She was perfectly aware that his fighting level and experience was way above her own, which was why even though this was a spar she wanted to be careful. After all, he had asked to be treated like an enemy, which did mean in a way to treat with caution. Izumi didn't want to rush in recklessly or blindly.

Realizing that holding back and hesitating at all was not going to help her one bit, Izumi planned to literally go all out. This was basically a test after all wasn't it? If this were a real battle, and he were her enemy, he'd be going for her life. As such, Izumi dashed forwards in his direction as fast as her physical limits permitted her to do so at that moment. The instant she was close enough the female would release a series of strikes and kicks at him as quickly as she good. However she remained extremely vigilant to see whatever opening she could find.

[ Feel the power of my will ]

A clone arrived at the Dojo, he needed to speak with Kein about something they had agreed on when he first joined the village. He noticed him training with one of the student he gave him. He would wait until Kein stopped the fight. But this was pretty urgent. He also made another clone to go off and practice some jutsu while he went with kein.

Noctis grabbed a scroll for a bukijutsu he wanted to learn.Looking at the scroll for Shunkan no Hagane, the first stage of techniques were simple and would be quite easy. First technique was called Basic Chop. Just as the name suggested, it was an overhead vertical strike meant for offense. It was an easy maneuver, the male practiced the vertical strike a couple of times, the motion very easy to get used to. Soon he was finished practicing and ready to move on to the next technique.

[Learned Basic Chop]

Next came another basic move called the forward step. It would add extra power to his attacks and it was a fairly quick movement. He combined this technique with the basic chop. Noctis stepped forward and used a vertical strike on an imaginary opponent. He practiced this motion a couple of times before moving on to the next technique.

[Learned Forward Step]

Next was a technique called the Backward Step. It was another basic technique that was used for more defense and evasion. This was quite easy to practice since Noctis merely needed to step back. It was a short and quick movement that would help place himself where he needed to be. Practice was finished quickly and Noctis was ready to move on to the next technique.

[Learned Backward Step]

Next was technique was called the Basic Stab. It would be quite easy to learn and get down in no time. Combining it with the Forward Step, Noctis stabbed at the air with the tip of his sword. It was quite simple, it was meant to stab and do harm to the opponent's main body. Practicing the move a couple times he finished up that part of training and was ready to move on to the final technique or stage one.

[Learned Basic Stab]

The final technique for the stage was called the Basic Block. It was another basic technique that would be useful for defense. He blocked high and low against the imaginary chops and slices sent his way. It was easy enough to think up the different basic blocks to stop any attacks from getting to him. He imagined the blows and blocked them, practicing in this way for awhile. When he felt he had it down he finished and decided to move on to Stage Two.

[Learned Basic Block]

It felt as if it might be a big day ahead of him but it did not matter too much. Noctis needed to get busy so that he would learn plenty of techniques to be ready for any mission. The next technique to learn was called the Pivot Block. Basically he would sort of spin on his front leg while using his katana to block the incoming attack. He needed help so he made a shadow clone that would attack him. They practiced enough that Noctis found it easy to gain the hang of the technique. When the other clone came in for an attack, he turned, his sword coming in contact with his. His sword was deflected, set off to the side where he could disarm or throw the clone. It was a simple yet effective attack, easy for Noctis to get the hang of. He had the clone stick around so he could try out the next set of techniques.

[Learned Pivot Block]

The next technique to learn was called the Forward Grind. Basically after blocking an attack, he would keep the opponent's blade in place and his blade would grind down the opponents blade. Thus he would be closer to the opponent and able to strike while they did not have time to. The other clone would help him, attacking while he blocked and then grinded his blade forward to get closer. This technique was easy enough to practice... He continued to practice the technique with the other clone. It was fairly easy to learn and he would be left plenty of time to learn the other techniques. Either way now he was moving on to the next technique to learn.

[ Learned Forward Grind ]

The next technique was called Deflection One. This technique merely involved raising the blade a bit so as to change the direction of the incoming attack a bit. This would allow him the chance to set up an effective counter attack. Again the other clone was happy to help him out and they set to work practicing. It was another simple technique that he would learn quickly. While practicing this technique, Noctis couldn't help but think about the others who were training and doing missions . As for Noctis, he was still figuring things out but so far so good. He finished learning Deflection One and now was ready for the next technique.

[Learned Deflection One]

Next it was time to learn Disarming One. It was a little hard and needed good accuracy. Hitting the area beyond the focal point of the opponent's weapon. He would guide it away from the opponent and make it slip out of their grasp. The clone was willing to help him learn this technique for Stage Two. It was a little hard but Noctis would get the hang of it and increase his accuracy. Turning his attention back to the clone, he finished learned Disarming one. That concluded Stage Two and now Noctis was ready to move on to Stage Three.

[ Learned Disarming One]
Now this next technique would really be a good attack. This time he would merely need a practice dummy to learn the technique. It was called Calligraphy and it was a series of stabs and slices that would inflict shallow and debilitating wounds on the opponent. Now things would be getting interesting when learning Shunkan no Hagane. Moving over to the practice dummy, he got ready to being practice.Since it resembled calligraphy strokes, Noctis supposed he should be mimicking the writing. He did so slowly, not wishing to move too fast too soon since it would be too hard learning that way. Noctis used a few things as a base for his slashes and stabs, running through them slowly as he attacked the dummy. It was a bit slow paced but it was for the best and it helped him learn.Growing more comfortable with the movements, Noctis started moving faster now. The dummy was not suffering major damage but on a real person with a real sword, it would be more effective. He was not going terribly fast but Noctis was picking up speed the more he got used to the movements. Slowly building speed, he was finally able to move quickly as he landed blows on the training dummy. Now he was moving at a good speed, hitting the dummy multiple times in seconds. The techniques of Shunkan no Hagane were bound to be tougher to learn yet worth it. It was finesse and basics that would reinforce his attacks. Not to mention they did not require chakra and that would be needed in battle. Finishing up one final attack, Noctis felt he had a good handle on the attack and would move on to learn the next technique.

[Learned Calligraphy]

Next to learn would be a technique called Extension. This did not require chakra, instead speed and strength would be used to sharpen the air around her blade. Noctis was already skilled when it came to using katanas so this should not be impossible to learn. Noctis merely figured that he would practice on the the dummy and be able to hit it from farther away. Standing away from the battered and cut training dummy, Noctis got ready to practice. He stood a couple inches away, far enough he would be in range for Extension to work but not too far to miss completely. He would start swinging, trying to moved his sword in a horizontal slash that had both speed and power behind it. So far nothing but Noctis was not going to give up easily. Turning back to the training dummy, Noctis worked harder than ever now so he could learn Extension. He merely had to find the right amount of speed and energy to use. He could see it working a little, he almost had the technique down. Finally, he was able to use Extension and now he was able to cut into the dummy. It was not much at first but the more he kept practicing, the better the cut became. Noctis continued attacking until he was sure he had the technique down. The proof was the cuts appearing in the dummy even when the actual sword did not hit it. Smiling, he was ready to move on to the next technique.

[Learned Extension]

The next technique would be both fun and useful. Noctis would learn to walk on threads without using chakra. He was sure that there were already wires set up. Looking up, he did notice that there were wires up there to practice. Hurrying up the wall, he got to the wires and got ready to start balancing. So far so good, Noctis was walking along the wires and his progress was adequate. Not to say he did not wobble this way and that when crossing the wires. He swayed back and forth along the wires, legs buckling as his hands grabbed on. Noctis was determined to keep going though and he was not going to give up on learning this technique. Sighing softly, Noctis walked along the wires with ease now. It was not so hard, he just needed to work on his balance, find his center. There was a little problem now and then but Noctis quickly righted himself. It was certainly bound to be a useful technique and he was glad to have learned it. Moving to one end of the wires, he jumped down and landed softly on the ground, ready to learn the last technique in Stage Three.

[Learned Thread Walking One]

This next technique would require a little help to get used to. He summoned another clone to help him out. This technique just required a bit more balance so he would be on solid footing. Which was the name of the technique coincidentally. If he learned it correctly then it would be hard for anyone to knock him off his feet. Getting into his stance, Noctis waited for the clone to start attacking. Not real attacks of course, but blows that would try to knock him down. The other had been successful the first couple of times but after adjusting his stance, it became harder and harder. Now the clone was knocking him down less frequently and Noctis was getting the idea of the stance. Noctis nearly had the hang of the stance and his balance was getting better. He was being knocked down less frequently and soon he would have the technique down. He adjusted his stance a bit more and his balance was improving. Soon he was not getting knocked down at all and except for once and awhile so Noctis was sure she learned the technique now. Noctis kept up the practice until he was quite difficult to knock down. When that was finished, he thanked the clone for their time and he dispersed. The third stage was taken care of, he could learn some techniques from the fourth stage. Although he was wondering if he would have time. Something was bound to come up at this rate, he just wasn't sure what the thing would be.

[Learned Solid Footing]

The next technique to learn was called Swordslinger. It seemed to deviate from the other techniques a bit. This one required the use of multiple swords. Not seeing it as a problem, Noctis picked up some weapons that were hanging on the dojo walls ready to be used. He grabbed them and placed them on his person, ready to draw and use for this next technique. Noctis had always preferred to use just one weapon. Yet he could see the possible advantages and deadliness of this technique. With a technique like this he could possibly overwhelm one opponent or take on more than one if he needed to. Standing before the training dummy, he started off slowly. First it was to draw one blade, strike, then sheath it. He had to be careful with this sort of technique, he could slice his hand open if he was not careful. It took a long time going slow, changing stance, drawing and sheathing weapons. After getting used to the movements Noctis started going a bit faster. Slowly but surely he started moving more quickly, trying to pick up the pace so he could truly master the technique. Noctis was starting to pant softly as he moved, his movements becoming quicker as he changed stances. There were some troubles, sometimes he missed the sheath, his sword almost got away from him, and there were a couple times he almost cut himself. Noctis became more aware of the placement of his arms though and was learning better timing. Noctis could feel his arms getting tired but he felt he was on a hot streak. Noctis was getting faster, accuracy increasing as he continued adjusting him technique. He continued through the motions, shifting form and such as he drew a blade, cut, and sheathed it. It was a difficult technique to get the hang of and Noctis was determined to get it right. Almost there... Finally he had it, Noctis was cutting into the dummy. His movements were blurring as he moved quickly. There was another rush of satisfaction now that he had once more learned a technique. Noctis would need to use this technique more and more to get the hang of it. Noctis did not mind it and it would be an unexpected technique to pull on his opponents. With this, deciding on another style would have to come later. Now on to the next technique.

[ Learned Swordslinger]

The next technique would be Sensory Information, a passive technique that would allow him to judge how far away incoming objects or people were. This was based upon sounds and disturbances in the environment of course. It would be quite useful, to make use of other senses to be prepared for incoming objects. Summoning another clone to help, He then took his headband and placed it around his eyes so he had to rely on his other senses. Now that he could no longer see, Noctis started to listen around the dojo and try to judge distances and movement. This technique was proving to be a little difficult at first. Hearing things were not so hard but sensing disturbances in the environment were harder. The dojo was crowded today and there were all sorts of noises. It would be hard to just pick out one person to focus on. Instead he kept track of where some people were going, trying to sense changes like change in temperature and such. It was getting easier, little by little as he kept at it. Noctis continued using his senses to see what was happening around the dojo. When he felt comfortable enough to believe that he had the technique down, Noctis decided to try it on incoming objects. That was where the clone he called upon came in. Noctis began training, trying to sense incoming objects and dodge them. In the crowded dojo, there were plenty of distractions and his success was low. Noctis kept at it, focusing and trying to sense where they were coming from. he was getting better at it and this was admittedly a good training exercise. With his senses getting sharper it would be much harder for anyone to get the drop on him. He almost had the technique down. Noctis soon was able to hear everything that was going on around him quite well. He could tell the distance of it from where he was. He could sense two people doing something that far away from him. But he got the hang of the technique so it was on the the next .

[ Learned Sensory Information]

Looking over the scroll to see what he would learn next, Noctis spared glances around the dojo. Sighing, Noctis looked over the move Twin Blade before putting the scroll away. Then he moved over to the training dummy to start practicing. It was a different one, more tougher and sturdier, for more stronger techniques. This next move was an extension of the technique Extension. The difference being that instead of just shredding the air for an inch or so, it was like an actual blade was produced from the blade. The air of blade would hit after the real blade. It would come as a surprise and the move would be damaging enough to crack or shatter most blades. Imagine what it would do to a human body. Standing at the ready, Noctis of course went through the motions of Extension. The air was shredded and it cut into the dummy but it did not make an air sword to really do damage. The sword was much for cutting but he could still put in some speed and power to make Twin Blade work. Noctis merely kept at the technique, trying and trying, putting more power and working with the sword to produce the technique. It seemed as if he was having a little more success. Only a bit of the extra blade was being created. Noctis still had to work and adjust his technique so that an actual blade of air could be produced. Turning his gaze back to the training dummy, Noctis continued practicing the Twin Blade technique. Focusing, putting his speed and strength into the next move, Noctis swung at the training dummy. His sword hit the dummy but following after was a blade of air that cut all the more deeply. Smiling, Noctis mimicked the technique over and over until he felt satisfied he had learned it. That was another technique down and a lot more to go if he wanted to learn the entire set of Stage Four.

[ Learned Twin Blade]

The next technique he would learn was called Brushstroke. If one could not guess then it was an extension of Calligraphy. It was faster and it cut much deeper, making it a formidable technique. Knowing Calligraphy, he would be able to learn this technique fairly quickly. At least that was what he was anticipating would happen. He used the same training dummy and slowly started going over the movements. Noctis would use the same words from Calligraphy as the motions to follow. He would get into the motions and slowly start speeding up. Little by little until he was moving quite quickly. He was moving quickly yet it seemed as if he did not have much power behind the hits. It was hard to put in power when one was going so fast but Noctis was sure that he would manage. If he wanted to be one of the best then he could not be stumped by any technique. Which was why he was working harder and adjusting his technique so that he may successfully get Brushstroke down. Almost there, he was getting the technique down.He was really doing this technique well and his progress was showing considerably he thought to himself stopping the attack on the dummy for a second. Turning back to the dummy he continued his practice. Soon the sword in his hands was moving, slicing and jabbing at the dummy. Noctis ran through the different words and the force would be enough to make a katana cut deeply into the opponent. Noctis might not be too powerful but he certainly power. If no one could match his power then who could really stop him? Finishing his attack, he took out the scroll once more so that he could look over the next technique.

[ Learned Brush Stroke]

Deciding he had plenty of time for bukijutsu, Noctis decided to get to work. Taking out the bukijutsu scroll for Shunkan no Higane and looked at the next technique. The Hydra Strike would be quite useful and he was determined to learn it quickly. Setting the scroll away, Noctis got out his blade and faced the dummy. Of course making sure no one else was in the way to get hurt . He had read over the scroll and knew what he had to do. Basically, after swinging the first time, he could swing again and again. Launching the physical attack and then the shearing intangible force of the cut following after that. It would be quite useful and Noctis would not tire out as quickly if he mastered this technique. There would also be no loss of speed or power if he hit. Setting up and standing before the dummy, Noctis began to swing his blade. All he was getting at first was the Twin Blade attack, one physical hit and then the intangible one that followed immediately after. He was not at all discouraged and he knew it would just be a matter of practice. Noctis continued to attack the dummy, leaving hit after hit on the beaten up training dummy.
He was getting better, Noctis was definitely building up his stamina. Losing less power and speed as he continued to swing and attack the dummy. Having a natural ability towards learning bukijutsu, he was learning this much faster than he did the would. Which was quite nice since this speed was much more agreeable to him than the slow, frustrating speed. Now he had it down. He was swinging his blade multiple times, moving so quickly as cut after cut appeared on the dummy. Noctis was smiling as he attacked, knowing he was becoming a more powerful now. It would only be a matter of time before he really made a name for himself in the shinobi world. Attacking one last time, Noctis stopped and looked over the cut up training dummy. Success.

[ Hydra Strike Learned]

Opening the scroll and looking them over, Noctis noted he would need help from a second party to practice these. Figuring that it would be easy enough, Noctis summoned another clone to help him with his techinques. Noctis let him get his sword to train with and he did the same. It was nice that he was helping and now he could practice the last three techniques of the fourth set. This next technique was called Disarming Two. It would be the same as Disarming One but it would have more power behind it. If he did this correctly then the attack would be rendered useless. Leaving Noctis an opening for a very fast counter attack. Getting ready, he waited for the other person to make a move so that they could start on disarming the other person. When the person rushed in, Noctis was doing well but it was only the Disarming One technique he was pulling off. It would take just a bit of practice before he had the technique under control. Which was just fine since he was still learning these techniques faster than he was learning other techniques. He would continued working with the clone until he had the technique down.He was starting to get better and better with the technique he was supposed to learn. It was becoming easier and the attack more powerful. Yet Noctis was being careful so that his attack would not break the clone. If this was done correctly then this would be painful for an enemy when they were disarmed. In addition their weapon would also break and become useless. It was the last attack that was the biggest success. Noctis waited for the clone to attack and aimed for a focal point on the sword. When their sword connected, it broke in two and the hilt was sent flying. The clone, not holding on too tightly, avoided the fingers in his hand cracking but there was a bit of a pain from the impact. Finished, Noctis nodded at the clone and requested he get ready for the next technique.

[Disarming Two Learned]

The next attack was called Deflection Two. It was another attack that would leave the opponent open for attack. It would be simple and basically the same as Deflection One except it would be stronger. All Noctis had to do was raise his blade up and alter the course of an incoming attack. It would put the opponent off balance, render their attack useless, and give Noctis the chance to counter.Waiting for the clone to set up, they began training once more. Noctis should have felt a bit tired but it was the opposite. At least it seemed to be the opposite when he worked with bukijutsu techniques. He had extra stamina and energy to keep going so that he could learn all of the techniques that he could. It was just the drive he had to be a great. While he was busy deflecting the clones attacks, Noctis mind was a little off. Not in the crazy sort of way, more that his mind was thinking of something other than training. There was just a feeling that something big was coming up. He had no idea what that may be but Noctis felt both anxious and eager. There was something on the horizon and he planned to be a part of it. Of course that could just be all in his head. Instead of it being some super six sense that he developed from training in the Shigure Soen style or whatever. He could sense the intent of people but he could not see the future or anything. That was just a preposterous idea and he had to focus on his training since he was nearly done with the last of the bukijutsu he could learn.Deflection Two was now complete. Noctis was easily deflecting the clones incoming taijutsu attacks with ease. When he deflected the attacks, he easily struck with a counter attack. Not literally of course, he had plenty of control. He did not actually hit the other and he was a safe inch away from coming in contact with his body. Finished with this technique, Noctis moved on to the final jutsu to learn.

[ Deflection Two Learned}

The final technique to learn was called Advance of Steel. This attack would increase the power in his offensive or defensive attacks. Plus his speed would increase so that anyone at his speed or lower would not be able to keep up with him. Noctis was excited since now this would be the last technique to learn in the fourth stage. Then he would pretty much be ready for anything and he could take on the next set later. When the clone was ready,Noctis would learn this technique simply by attacking. While he was attacking, Noctis would try to put more power behind his movements and try to move more quickly. It would be a bit hard to put in more power and speed. Yet not impossible since he had learned the Hydra Strike. Now he would just have to work just as hard while he trained. Noctis was already showing progress while he continued training. He was getting faster and stronger while he kept it up. Right now he was pretty much at the halfway point when it came to learning the technique. Noctis was quite happy and he would be happier when it was time to apply such techniques when out doing missions. While Noctis was training, The training was interesting for awhile but now it was slightly dull. He would probably find plenty of excitement when it came to upcoming missions. .Now he was finished, his training was complete for now. Noctis had learned Advancement of Steel. He was faster and stronger with his attacks, the clone barely able to keep up. Now that Noctis had learned the technique, he smiled and dispersed the clone. He put away the sword and too a little rest. He had been training himself pretty hard so he needed some kind of rest so he could continue. He took a seat on a bench and rested against the wall looking up at the ceiling.

Kein couldnt help but smile as he watched her walk in and take her stance. Before she began he contemplated using his sharingan but decided against it. His natural speed and reflexes would be more than able to handle anything she could dish out as a genin. When she advance though he had to admit he was surprised at her ferocity, he would even commend her for it later. Though now he simply slid his right foot back flattening his stance as her first series of strikes came. The first few punches he quickly deflected by slapping them away simply enough when her first kick came he lifted his left leg up to check the kick before quickly jumping back disengaging her. He raised his hands up quickly saying," Op one moment." His hands blazed the seals for the shadow clone jutsu as it appeared next to him he patted himself on the shoulder and said," All you bro. I gotta talk to the Hokage. Got a promise to keep." The clone turned to Izumi with a smile and a quick notion to resume. The real Kein made his way over to the Hokage and said," I know what your after, lets not do this here. Your office would be best." With that kein was once again gone in his signature orange flame.

The noctis clone nodded and headed to his office with kein.

The clone continued his training

___S t a g e F i v e [5]
Noctis got out the two Kenjutsu scrolls he needed and headed out to the dojo floor. First he would tackle the next stage of Shunkan no Hagane and then he would probably tackle Shigure Soen. Shigure Soen would probably be quicker to learn since it only had two moves per stage. So why not finish up with something easy? Stretching his arms,. After Kenjutsu he would try to get in a bit more ninjutsu that would be helpful to him.
The first technique on the list to learn was called shearing. Since he was so skilled with a blade, he could now cut so quickly that the air around him blade sheared. This would extend the range of his blade by about a foot on each side. Having that extra reach to cut would of course be useful and no one would be able to see it coming. Stretching his arms slightly, Noctis borrowed a sword from the dojo store room and got ready. If he tried this with a real blade then he might damage the dummy too much. But it didn’t really matter to him, the dummies were there to practice on and he was gonna practice on them. If he didn’t he would have to practice on someone else and that probably wouldn’t end well he thought to himself with a small chuckle. He began by striking the dummy, trying to adjust his speed so that the hearing effect took place. So far there was just a bit of hearing but not as much as he would have liked. It just meant Noctis had to try harder and try picking up his speed. Two things which he did not find troublesome since he would enjoy a good work out. Plus he had plenty of energy to expend on training since he'd been relaxing.. So far he was still only going as far as using Extension when it came to hitting the dummy. Although if he was looking at this right then it seemed the air was cutting a bit further away then what one could get with Extension. A good sign, it showed that Noctis was progressing and hopefully soon he would be able to use the move. This was already taking a bit of time learning this move though. He had to wonder if he would be able to learn all of stage five in the same day. It was a bit better now, Noctis could definitely see that progress was being made. The dummy was getting cut a couple of inches before the hearing from Extension would hit. Glad to see even more progress, He continued attacking the dummy, trying to move faster and put in more power. After this technique, Noctis as beginning to think he would learn Shigure Soen next. It just seemed as if it would be easier to learn them next before going back to Shunkan no Hagane. Now he had it down. Noctis was able to move his blade with enough speed and power the air for a foot around it sheared. Before he even came close to hitting the dummy, it was already getting cut. Noctis practiced the technique a couple more times. Each time, when her actual blade was a foot away from making contact, the dummy already got cut. When he was satisfied that he had the technique down, Noctis stopped his assault. Instead he took out the two Kenjutsu scrolls and looked over what he would learn next.

○ Shearing
Simple :: A-Rank
The user, because of the large amount of training he or she has now completed, can now operate blades with such speed and ease that the air begins to shear along the edges of the weapons when they are used, extending their range by almost a foot on all bladed sides. This effect lasts for ten posts.
• Extension learned.
The next step in his training would be to master the fifth stage of Shunkan no Hagane. If possible he might also be able to master the sixth stage. Even as a kage these stages would be time consuming but well worth it. From what he had read in the scrolls, the sixth stage would boost his abilities. To have those abilities, he would be faster, his senses sharper, and then he would be hard to beat by a number of people. Now it was time to learn Thread Walking Two from stage five of Shunkan no Hagane. He remembered that he learned a similar technique is his other kenjutsu, the wire one. He guessed it couldn’t hurt to be even more adapt at walking on wires. He could make entire battle field out of his wires and then battle on them with such balance and power that it would leave his opponent in shock. Although it was a nice day outside, Noctis knew he had to go inside for this technique. The threads would be set up inside and they would be necessary for him practice. Right now he knew how to walk on the threads but if he really needed to get moving then he needed to run. This would be fairly easy to master, or it might possibly take awhile before he got it. This apparently was not as easy as Shigure Soen but the he was determined to learn. Seeing where the threads were set up, Noctis moved up to the threads and stood on top of them easily. Walking and standing on them was no problem. Now the trick was keeping her balance while running along the threads. Which really was not easy since the first time he tried running, Noctis made it a couple of steps before losing balance and nearly falling off. At least it was not like Shigure Soen where he had to get it right on the first try. Here he had room for a little bit of error. The next couple of tries were not much more successful than the first time. He needed to get the hang of the balance when running along the threads. The threads became really iffy if jolted about too much and Noctis was finding it challenging to keep balance. The his arms flailed now and then, trying to keep his balance and not fall as he ran along the threads. At least the more he tried, the better he was getting, it would not be long now before he could run along the threads. Now he had his balance down. Noctis could run along the threads with relative ease at this point. He knew that this technique would be valuable in a way. If he could run along wires then imagine what else he could use this excellent balance for? Ledges and such, Noctis could go places where others may not be able to follow. Having run back and forth a few times without losing his balance or falling off, Noctis was satisfied he had learned the technique and jumped down from the threads He stretched his arms a bit and stretched his legs, it been a while since he practiced his balance on wires and he could see if he didn’t keep up with it he wouldn’t be as good. He could see now that even though he had learned it in the last kenjutsu he was not a master of it yet.

The user is now able to both run and fight while balancing on threads and wires, though doing these things at the same time is widely regarded as totally infeasible.

Passive, no chakra usage
The next technique would require that he need help from another person. This next move was called the Crescent Block and it would be an excellent way to disarm an opponent. He read it outloud to himself to gain a better understanding.” A circular block meant to serve as an all purpose defensive technique. By catching the incoming attack and carrying it in a circular path on the blade edge, the user gains a great amount of control over the opposing weapon, enough to be able to drive it in to the ground or to easily disarm the opponent without the need for extra techniques or movements. In addition, this technique has great cutting power against soft weapons such as arms, legs, and anything made out of wood or bamboo.” The way it would work was that Noctis would turn, catching whatever was coming at him and carrying it in a circle. It would not only redirect the attack but it would disarm the person. Since the force and motion of the block would undoubtedly make the attacker loosen their grip on the weapon. It would also cut against anything softer than a metal blade. Finding a shinobi inside the dojo that would help him, Noctis switched back to using a sword for training. The other person would also grab a sword so that they could commence training. It would not be an easy block but hishead was relaxed since he did not have to get it right on the first try. His first time attempt at the technique was not bad. Although the real trick was trying to carry the other's weapon on a circular path. It wasn't really a simple block to pull off one at a time, it would need more practice. They would clash again and again, the first couple of tries were much like before. Noctis would be able to block the attacks but he could not quite carry it in a circular path. He was starting to get the idea though and was beginning to change how to strike with his sword. It was just a matter of angling it just right and the right way to carry it. Other than minor changes in how the sword came in contact with the other's sword though, Noctis pretty much had the idea down on how to do the technique. Now he was getting it, the next time he tried the Crescent Block, Noctis was actually able to carry the sword in a circular path. It was not as good as it could have been but it was certainly a good start. Happy at his progress, Noctis continued to train with the other shinobi. The other shinobi was being a good sport too and seemed to be learning a bit as well. Although Noctis would try not to keep the other long since he was sure the other had plenty of training to do himself. Finally he had the technique down and was able to block the sword in the way the move was intended. Of course the technique would be much more impressive if they were using real swords of course.. He wanted to say that he could dismiss the shinobi helping him but Noctis would still need someone to attack him. That way he could practice the next technique or two and finish the fifth stage of Shunkan no Hagane.

• Basic Block.
The next technique was called Defense of Steel and it would be a little dangerous to practice. It would require that he use a real blade since the point of the technique was to cut through another opponent's blade. It would be a hard maneuver to use but Noctis was sure he would get it down as soon as he could. As a kage that would happen fairly quickly so there was no need to worry about time. Despite the need for real swords to make this work, the other shinobi was willing to go along with this. Glad that the other would still help him out, Noctis went over to the storage where they kept the practice supplies. Noctis had to dig around a little bit to try and find some practice swords made of real metal. He had to shift some things around here and there but he finally found some good practice swords. He handed one over to the shinobi before he took his place in their own spot of the dojo. He then explained the technique to the other shinobi so he could understand what he was doing.” A powerful defensive technique that is capable of nullifying elemental Ninjutsu up to C-Rank. By performing any appropriate block while Shearing is active, the user can slice through an incoming attack without his or her blade ever touching it. This technique works by shearing the material in the path of the blade, dispersing energy and matter in to the surrounding landscape. This defense is extremely effective against carried weapons of all types. Must be using a metal blade.“ The first attempt at defense of steel was not quite so successful. He hit the blade but it was not quite cut in half by hearing. Although he did leave a pretty good nick in the blade. If he could do this right then he could cut through the blade without his own even touching it. It would probably be a good psyche out to anyone who tried harming him. They would also be disarmed and not able to properly defend themselves with a damaged weapon. While Noctis was practicing defense of steel, he was also giving thought as to what would be the next Kenjutsu style he would learn. This would be the last style he would ever learn since three would certainly be more than enough. There were sword styles for stealth and there were those that used multiple swords. While they were appealing in their own way, Noctis felt he was too head on for stealth. As for multiple blades it seemed a bit much. No, a single sword was the way to go and he would beat any opponent that came at him. Now he had the technique down and he was going to show the person training with him. As the other shinobi came in for a strike, Noctis moved his blade as well. With hearing activated, his own blade did not touch his opponent's blade. Yet with hearing being used, he did cut the blade all the way through this time. The blade was cut and the top half that had been cut off clattered uselessly to the ground. Seeing that Noctis had learned the technique, the other shinobi could guess that he was no longer needed now. Thanking her for her help, Noctis let the other get back to her training while he cleaned up the mess left behind.

• All Stage Three and Stage Four techniques, Shearing learned.
Noctis took a breath so he wouldn’t get too tired. But it was time to move onto the next technique that he would be learning. He then reached into his hidden pockets searching for his kenjutsu scroll that he had stored there. After some searching he pulled it out. He opened it and began to search through the techniques, many of these he had already learned a while back. But now he was going back to the scroll to learn more techniques. They would be more powerful than what he already knew and he was sure they would help. He continued looking at all the stages of the style, looking at the techniques he had already learned. He then found the one he was looking for. This was the technique he was going to learn at the time, he would then move on to another technique after he finished with this one. He didn’t expect it to take him too long to master it. He was a kenjutsu user so it should be easier for him to learn these. He began to read the technique so he could know what to expect from it. He finished reading and completely understood it and knew it would be helpful somehow to him. At some point in time he knew he would need this ability to help him. He then put the kenjutsu scroll away safely in his hidden pockets so he wouldn’t lose it or anything. The next technique he would learn he would not need help on. All he would have to do was practice on a dummy until he could draw his sword. Not only was this sword draw going to be fast but it was also going to be strong enough to cut through armor. Now that he had picked up the metal practice swords, he put them away in the storage room before going back onto the main floor. He easily picked out a training dummy and got ready to begin his training. This would not quite be so easy since Noctis was not really used to just drawing his sword to attack. Granted he did draw quickly so he could go into an attack. Maybe this might not be so different but Noctis could not be too confident. The first try had not quite gone so well. He tried to draw but it was only a very shallow cut. The idea was that he needed to make his movements a bit more smoother. To draw his sword from the blade as he usually would. Only instead of getting ready for an attack he would immediately go for a horizontal slash. He continued his movements, able to draw and cut at a medium sort of speed. Yet it still was not fast enough and there was not near enough power for a real cut. That would certainly not do and Noctis had to try harder than ever to get this technique down right. So far there was progress, little by little he was getting better with each try. Noctis was totally focused on the task of learning this technique. He still had it in mind to be the finest swordsman in Suna after all. Now he was getting it down better. Noctis could tell he was starting to move faster, little by little. He could also see that his cuts were getting deeper. It was only going to be a matter of time now before he had this technique down and closed out the fifth stage of Shunkan no Hagane. His mind was also starting to think back on her last Kenjutsu style. All styles certainly would be a good style. Yet what if he needed something else? Something that was not so straight forward so he could have a more varied arsenal? Now he had the technique down. Noctis could see just how powerful this technique really was. His blade moved so quickly yet fluidly, one quick motion as a deep cut appeared in the training dummy he was using. With one final tray, he cut very deeply into the dummy, enough so that it would have been a kill on any living opponent. Noctis smiled, quite satisfied with his work and sheathed his sword once more. That was it for stage five. Yet why move on? There was still stage six and then that would be a second Kenjutsu style he would master in pretty much the same day.
○ Sword Drawing Technique
Simple :: A-Rank
A quick drawing of the sword that operates as a slash and breaks through not only blades, but can pierce armor as well. Opponents without a speed rank higher than the user’s cannot see or react to this technique.
• All Stage Three and Stage Four techniques learned.
Passive, no chakra usage

He then put the kenjutsu scroll away safely in his hidden pockets so he wouldn’t lose it or anything. Now it was time for the sixth and final stage of Shunkan no Hagane. After this he would move on to something else so that he had more defense against those who came in close. Ninjutsu would take longer to learn but that was probably why he was getting Kenjutsu out of the way first. As for the fourth Kenjutsu style he would learn, Noctis was thinking he would decide on the matter later. He had many other choices to pick from, but he didn’t know what would benefit him the most. He heard about a kenjutsu that trained him to be completely silent. Maybe that would be a good one to learn to be able to defeat his opponents without making a sound would certainly be useful to him. But he still had much time to think about what he wanted to learn for his last kenjutsu. The first technique that he would learn was called Final Words. He would hone his senses all the more, making them sharper. So sharp that he would be able to accurately tell how far away an opponent was, where they were and the speed of incoming objects. Having such sharp senses would undoubtedly be useful. He would not need someone to help him, instead he would use the people around him to help hone his skills. Finding an area away from where the other shinobi were training, Noctis took a seat and closed his eyes. This would take plenty of concentration,Not that there was anything wrong with that of course but it was just nice to have a bit of silence. He needed to take in all of her surroundings to see where the people were. So far there was not much luck. Noctis was hearing what they were doing and what general direction they were in. That was just from Sensory Information though. While it had sharpened his senses it was not good enough. He would be going on dangerous missions and he needed to know where things would be exactly. Slightly frustrated but not at all deterred, Noctis continued to try and pick up on the disturbances in the environment to see where people were exactly. Things were starting to get a little better now. Noctis was starting to have a better idea as to where things were now. The people that were closer to him he was able to figure out where exactly they were better than those that were farther away. It was not good but it was not bad, it was a good start and soon he would be able to tell where the rest of them where. Noctis stayed where he was, still staying seated with his eyes closed as he tried to pick up where they all were. Now he could hear them clearly and judge their distances. He could hear all of the people all around in the dojo, he could even hear if there was any people outside right now. At this point his senses were quite sharp and Noctis did not think they could get any sharper. Smiling, Noctis opened his eyes and stood up. That was one technique down, now he would move on to the next one. These were all skills that would augment his own abilities, which would make him an even stronger jounin than he was right now.
○ Final Words

A passive technique whereby the user can accurately the distance, location, and speed of an incoming object or person based on the sounds made and the disturbances made in the environment.

The next technique would become a passive technique. It would also become a powerful technique that would reinforce all of his sword based attacks. His blade would act twice as sharp as it really was and it would cut through armor without the need of any other special techniques. It was just proof that the last stage of Shunkan no Hagane had some very powerful techniques. Now the trick to getting his blade to act twice as sharp as it really was might be a little tricky. Taking a seat on the bench, Noctis took out his sword and looked at it. Perhaps it was a sort of thing that required focus, some sort of thing he just had to will his sword to do. The scroll was not quite so clear on how to learn this technique. Sure he just had to practice attacking but getting her blade to seem twice as sharp would be a bit hard. No, it just had to be some sort of mind thing. Some way to will his blade to act twice as sharp as it really was. Deciding he just had to practice for now and figure it out as he went. He went back to the training dummy he had been using earlier and began practicing. The cuts were simple and he could land some deep cuts. Yet if his blade became twice as sharp as it really was, then Noctis would cut even deeper and it would be like cutting through butter. So far nothing like that was happening but Noctis was not going to just give up. He had to learn Vorpal Blade and then three other techniques before he was a master of the Shunkan no Hagane style. So he kept at it, slicing the training dummy up further. Still nothing so far, it did not seem as if there was any change in the feel of his blade. It was nothing to get discouraged about though and Noctis kept right at it. He had to think though that if this was taking awhile then how long would it take for her to learn ninjutsu? He was not so much worried about taijutsu since he still couldn’t learn so much right now. Now he was starting to feel a bit of a change in his sword. It might not of been noticeable to others but he could feel it. It was as if there were less resistance when cutting through the dummy. Like he was not cutting through wood but something a bit softer, like bamboo or something. He had been focusing on his blade and as if he was willing it to get sharper. Maybe that was the trick after all, not just putting plenty of force behind the attack. Glad with the results, Noctis continued attacking the dummy, feeling that it was easier to cut though as he kept going. Finally his blade was ready, it would be twice as sharp as it used to be. This passive technique was going to make his blade all the more powerful now. Setting up for one final attack, Noctis chose a spot on the dummy that had not been cut. With one swing of his weapon he cut deeply into the dummy, so deeply and easily that he cut it in half. Although one would not know it at first until the top half just slid off and clattered to the ground. Smiling at the results, Noctis sheathed his sword and prepared for the next technique.
○ Vorpal Blade
Simple :: S-Rank

A passive technique that forces the user’s blade to act as if it were twice as sharp as it actually is. This makes it easy to carve through armor even without the use of techniques that do so, and those techniques become potent enough to slice through heavy armors.

He then put the kenjutsu scroll away safely in his hidden pockets so he wouldn’t lose it or anything. Before he would start practicing the next technique, Noctis had to clear the area first. After all, this practice dummy was pretty much useless now that he had cut it in half. First he took away the top half that had fallen to the ground and dragged it off to stay near the storage room. Then he dragged off the lower half and placed it right next to the top half. He would need the area clear so that he did not trip over anything since the next technique was called Movement of Steel. Movement of steel was a technique that was supposed to be even faster than the body flicker technique. Yet it was not as easy to control. He would not stop at the exact spot he wanted but if he could only be a little off then that would be fine. As for how he would get this to work, Noctis could only assume he would have to rely on his own speed. It would not be too hard since he was already fairly fast. Now it shouldn't be too hard to get a little faster right? Actually it seemed that getting to that point of being fast enough would be a little hard. Noctis had to move fast enough that no one would catch it and only see his after image at first. He would ask someone to watch him and see how fast he was really moving. They agreed since all they would have to do was watch him. So far he was not seeing any sort of after image just yet. Trying to move faster was a little bit frustrating but Noctis still kept at it. After some practice, the person watching him said that he seemed to be getting a little bit faster. Noctis was glad for some progress so he kept at it. Sure he was moving faster but what he really needed was to move fast enough to produce an after image. There was still no sign of that so far from what the male could see. Noctis would continue moving, trying to get faster and faster. He would need this speed to not only escape danger but also to fool enemies. There was improvement from what he was feeling and from what the male was telling him. He was certainly moving faster, it was hard for the person to keep up with her movements. Yet still no sign of an after image at first and Noctis kept at it. After a couple more tries, the male said he saw something after he moved. It was brief and faint but it was the start of an after image. He was almost there, he could tell, soon he would master the movement of steel technique. Finally he had it down. His last movement, he had moved so quickly to the side it seemed as if he just appeared in that spot. Granted the spot was not where exactly he wanted to stop but that was to be expected. Then the male confirmed that an after image had been left in the spot where he had been standing. That meant his training had been a success and that was good news to hear. Noctis thanked the male for his help and he went back to his training. Just two more techniques and he would be a master of Shunkan no Hagane.
○ Movement of Steel
Simple :: S-Rank
An unbelievably quick movement technique that has a speed that totally eclipses that of the Body Flicker Technique, with the same range. However, it is difficult to control and can only be used in one direction at a time. This technique creates an after-image where the user had been standing.

The next technique to learn was called offense of steel. It would create a wave hat would go on for a distance. It would cut anything in it's path in the same way that his actual blade would. That meant he would cut through most anything. He might even be able to cut through chakra attacks if there was enough force behind her attack. It was a nice thought although it was bound to be a little hard to cut through ninjutsu coming his way. In the meantime, he had training to do. He read the technique outloud to himself to understand it a tad better.” From the ready position, the user swings the blade he or he has chosen at a given target, sending a wave of energy in the direction of the swing that slices anything it hits in the way that the blade would. The technique starts out with a range of 5 meters, but increases by another 3 meters for every rank of speed added to it. This means that a Genin using this technique would only have a range of 5 meters, but that a Kage would be able to hit something 18 meters away.” Deciding to move back outside to train, Noctis walked out of the dojo and found a training dummy. He would stand the proper distance away from the dummy so he could try to strike it from afar. If he did this right then there would be a wave of energy that was sent towards the target. It should slice right through the dummy and even cut it in half. The first strike was not so much successful though. Noctis could see that the cut maybe extended a foot from his own blade without hearing but that would not cut it, no pun intended. Noctis would continued his practice, performing a vertical slice towards the dummy some distance away from his. The distance at which the wave went did not increase much but he was determined to learn this technique. He would continue trying, continue using his speed and strength to send a wave of energy at the dummy. Any improvement seemed to be minimal but improvement of any kind was certainly worth the effort. Now the wave of energy seemed to be traveling further, past two feet and growing. Repeated tries in his training seemed to be yielding good results so he kept at it. The end was within sight, he was closing in on finishing these techniques. Her progress was already going so well and Noctis was not going to give up now. Although he still worried a bit about learning ninjutsu since it seemed that would take awhile. Yet the ninjutsu he learned now was not sufficient enough, he needed to learn more so he could be ready for anything. Almost there, he could see that the wave of energy was gaining distance and almost reaching the dummy. Noctis was excited that he was almost done and almost had this powerful technique down. He was going to be quite the swordsman and no one in the world was going to be able to dispute that. He was even feeling confident enough right now that he could take on any other swordsman from any other village. That might of been a little over confident for him but he was feeling quite good right about now. He had to say that this was a harder technique to get down. It required actual chakra to perform and it could easily wear a person out. Strange to think that while all of the other technique had been simple that this one and the next one would be complex. It seemed to make sense though and Noctis was not going to let this stop him. If he let every technique that was a little tough stop him then he would not be good enough to advance up the ranks since he would be weak. Now he was there, now he had the technique down. Noctis could feel it, this next trick and he would have the technique down. Getting ready, he swing his sword and a wave of energy was sent out. It moved along the ground and hit the dummy. The dummy was split in half when the wave hit it and it fell to the ground. Glad at the results, Noctis walked over to drag the dummy off to the side. One more technique to go and he would have all of the Shunkan no Hagane techniques down, this was getting more and more exciting

Now he was finally at the last technique. It was a complex technique that would take a little longer to master but it would be well worth it. This technique would double his speed with a blade and her reaction time would be much quicker. Call him confident, but he was sure that with this new speed he had, he might even be able to keep up with a sannin at this rate. Maybe that was saying a bit too much but Noctis's mood was up and he was ready to take on this new technique. He could just imagine his kenjutsu prowess augmented by double and his reaction time would be that much greater as well, so he doubted with this active anyone could get the jump on him, but it was an S rank so he had to be careful Since it was so complex, Noctis was going to have to go into a new sort of state. It was said to be a physical state where he would become faster than ever. The only way to attain this was certainly through focus and he would practice other techniques to see just how fast they were. So far the speed was much the same and nothing much changed. The only thing that Noctis cold think to do was increase his focus to reach this new physical state. If he could not attain this state then he would be at the same speed that he was right now. Still no sign of change it seemed but Noctis was not going to be discouraged. He was starting to feel a bit tired but he did not want to give up. Training could be taxing on a person but Noctis felt he still had plenty of energy to keep going. If he just kept going then he would master this style. It was not as if Noctis was obsessed, he was just driven to say the least. He was so close to mastering this style and he was not going to let it slip away when he was trying to get this new technique down. With this technique down he would be one step closer to fulfilling his brothers dream of becoming a great shinobi. There seemed to be a little bit of improvement, Noctis felt he was getting more faster. Maybe he was getting closer to attaining the state he wanted to reach. If he could not get to ninjutsu today then that would probably not be something he would worry about. As far as he knew, he had all of the time in the world. He was a powerful swordsman and so far there was nothing that could strike him down right now. Again maybe he was being over confident but it was just how he felt at the moment. There seemed to be more progress to Noctis, reflexes were becoming faster as were her attacks. More progress drove her to keep trying, to keep focusing on attaining that state. He felt tired but he was almost at the end, at the end he would master Shunkan no Hagane and take a break. It really was taxing but a little bit of a break and he would be just fine. Noctis continued to attack the training dummy he had chosen, one that was not beaten or cut up too badly. Still trying to attain that state that would increase his speed. Almost there, he could feel it, Noctis could tell that he was getting faster and faster. Her blade was moving faster, reflexes were improving. He had a feeling that he was reaching a state that was different from how he had normally felt. It must of been the state that he was trying to attain, what else could it be? Well it could be that he was a bit hungry but Noctis would have to deal with that later. For now he was almost to the finish line. He only had a little bit to go before he finally learned this technique. He finally had it. This was the last technique and he finally had it down. There was a new state that he had reached and now his movements were so much faster. Noctis was cutting up the dummy and within mere seconds there were cuts all over it. Tired, yet satisfied, Noctis stopped her attack and sheathed his weapon. He was a bit breathless but happy to have gotten this final technique down. As a reward, he went to the nearest bench that was propped next to the outer wall of the dojo and took a seat, having a much needed break.

Yukiko entered the dojo. She felt a lite chill in the air and knew, her father must've just been through here. Or one of his clones. The poor girl's stomach growled in pain and starvation. Sniffling lightly she wasn't going to give up on looking for her dad. "Maybe he went back to his office." Turning around Yukiko decided to retrace her steps and hopefully find her way back.
