Mio takes position in between Aurora and Misha. Something bangs at the heavy hangar doors then, sending resonating booms throughout the large chamber, but the metal was too thick for whatever it was. There was a blip outside, but more were coming from the station interior...

Aleron glances to the side at the banging. That message Mio found said something came from outside... "I think we're about to find out what got to the director and his friend..." he said aloud, cocking the pistol, hitting the LED/Laser sight on.

Aurora readies her own weapon. She felt like she should be shaking, but her steady hand belies her fear.

Even inside the ship Gin could hear the bangs. She stopped short and her eyes went wide as the oclor drained from her face.

"That's definaly not good" she mumbled. She grabed the stim injection and gave it to herself shivering as it perked her up right away. She felt like she'd slept a month.. sortta. She grabs her guns pulling themf ree from holsters.

"I'm heading out, I suggest you seal off this area.. Especially the vents" she says to her

"they like to crawl though them from one area to another" she said. It was easy to seal off the medical bay area since the air was designed for that to protect the outside from a possiable infection that would get though if not.

"Make it internally circulating" she said as she checked her guns then nodded and headed quickly after Aleron to give him back up incase whatever was making that sound, got though.

Miya merely remained quiet at the Captain's remark about the uncertainty of Sonja's safety. It was true...but Miya had a bit of a 'needs of the many over needs of the few mindset' and thought it would be worth it if it meant they could all get out of there...less suffering over all. Yet she knew that military people were all about 'no one gets left behind', so arguing the point wouldn't do much good.

The mention of something out there with the field team...Aleron and Gin's departure...they didn't sit well with the medic. She hoped they'd be okay and the sickbay wouldn't have any new additions.

Hearing Gin's advice, she nodded. "Got it, Gin. Captain, permission to follow Gin's suggestion and seal off the sickbay?" she inquired, already heading towards the control panel that controlled things such as vents, doors, and other quarantine protocol.

Whatever was outside keeps pounding on the door for a bit longer before it goes quiet. radar would show it moving off, but the other blips, and there were even more than before, were continuing to come their way, with lots of shrieking and other vocalizations...

Mio was shaking again, watching the hallway to the station interior...

(What the heck kinda Dr. is Miya, anyway? D: )

Aurora swears. wondering if they might be better taking their chances by going deeper into the station with the 'things'. She vocalizes this thought. "Alright, I'm teetering on this one," she says, making sure all her people can hear her. "Do we stay here and wait for whatever is outside to break in? Or go deeper into the station with the diseased things and try to set up a more defensible position...? Any thoughts?" Sure, she was in charge and she made sure to cut short any attempts to overrule that. But she was wise enough to know that being in charge didn't mean she had all the answers and asking other people's opinions when she was at a loss did not necessarily smack of weakness.

(( Miya is...odd. she wants to help everyone but, at the same time, if she had to chose between saving one person and a group, she'd choose to save the group. her ability lets her feel another person's pain...resulting in anything from what feels like an itch inside her head to a pounding migraine. multiple injured people make the effects worse. and she sees how getting them all out now could possibly save the whole crew even if it hurts/kills Sonja, whereas taking too much time waiting for Sonja could potentially put...*counts*...up to seven other people (eight if you include Miya herself) at risk of getting injured, infected, or killed.

...and you probably thought Aleron has a strange mindset.

no worries, though. she not crazy or anything. she's a pretty dang good doctor and always does her best. she just knows how to plan ahead to avoid mass injuries/casualties. ))

Aleron's mind was racing, but not in fear. In logic and thought, tactics based strictly on the abilitys, mentality, and weapons of his teammates, the creatures, everything. He was going over every bit. "Captain, if we could split a sort of 'combat group' to clear a path and secure a good area, we could re-take part of this base. From there, we should keep the ship and our way back clear with patrols while slowly retaking areas we need, ad securely. That way we won't jeopardize the safety of the ship, and we can retreat back to it like a final barracks to hold off should, as they say, s**t hit the fan." he suggested, heading toward the hall so his light would penetrate further into the darkness. "Starting with this hallway..." he said quieter, his eyes narrowing a bit, ready.

Misha would follow and keep on the sweep and her eyebrow would raise slightly, "The mining storage room, if we can get a good look at it and barricade the vents we would access to supplies we should be able to fix the ship with as well as a more dfensible positon and close enough to the ship were "partols" shouldn't be needed.... last thing we need is a long route to walk where those things could ambush us." She was voicing her opinion but she was also very stern in her words, she beleived this but she would not make orders at the moment. right now she wanted to get at those things but she was driven by her lycan side to hunt down that larger creature. To challenege it and to gain victory but she shrugged it off. she would watch her motion trackers and see them coming she would voice softly but jsut barely loud enouh to come over the coms, the only ones who may understand it would be the two Cathans because of their exceptional hearing, "I'm ready are you?"

Gin shook her head alittle bit at Aleron's suggestion. Splitting up was the stupid. She moved up quickly behind him catching up so that she was back up yes, but she was there with him.

"I hate to interupt but.. I really do NOT reccomend splitting up. I doubt there are any survivors on those doors trying to get in here. Most of the station is those things, and it was a lot of people" she said to them worried. She shifted her guns a bit. She licked dry lips as she sighed a bit.

"They will overwhelm you. If there is this many of them out there you'll be swarmed like.. ants to sugar" she said anciously. Her tail flicked rapidly as she took a couple deep breaths. Hoping beyond hope that they would not even open that door or anything till everything died down.

Aleron nodded to Gin. "Mm...Gin's right...We're too severely out-numbered and under little to no intel about what we're against. There's no telling how many different ways this infection has mutated, and we can't risk being caught off-guard. What we need to do is fortify the hanger itself, completely, before daring to go beyond it." he confirmed. He glanced at her for a split second in approval of her point. He was glad to see she could suggest things without insulting him, or rudely.

But, something else she said...

"Survivors.."

"Captain!! If we can get to the cyro-rooms you found Gin in, and any others, we can get back-up! More soldiers, more weapons! If we can gain numbers, we just might stand a chance. Setting up a small barracks-like camp here in the hanger, though a bit risky in drawing more of them here, would make it far easier to fortify and defend." he suggested. "Aside from soldiers, we man even gain more help. Medics, engineers, we wouldn't be as short-handed. At the very least, a few survivors would look good on us as opposed to just running and blowing this place to s**t with everyone inside. One, not thing..." he added at the end, just to be sure they knew he wasn't really after 'learning' these things beyond how to kill them and possibly cure any of the CREW, should they become infected. He had no concern for those already lost. They were dead, be it body or soul.

(Sorry it took so long. Was tired and a bit intoxicated last night so I was having difficulties comprehending your guys' posts and thinking clearly enough to play Captain ^^; )

Aurora frowns, thinking. "Would you prefer we bring non-combatants onto the front line, Mrs. Namida?" Aurora queries. The mining supply room was close and would be defensible enough. But hardly big enough to accomodate them all. She was leaning towards the idea of securing a path deeper into the base. They were going to have to do it eventually. She had thought to do it more grdually though. "The Cryo room," she says finally. "The 2nd Lieutenant and I will go first. Misha, stay behind but within view with the non combatants and watch the back. Dr., permission to move our survivor. Let's go people, we don't know how long we have."

Misha held the flame thrower out to the Captain to trade off for her shotgun again and nodded, "Roger that I'll keep them safe Captain. No worries on that." She was serious when she spoke and from her service record it was obvious defense and quick strike was her forte...

Mio looks at Aurora and says, "Cap'n, permission to run back to the ship and gather some supplies?" Just as they didn't know how long they had, they didn't know how long they'd be away from the ship, either.

The thing outside was banging at the hangar doors again. A shriek from somewhere in the station's interior, and then another muffled whump, precedes even the emergency light flickering and the going off save for a scattered few.
