Joe eyed him for a moment, completely silent, scanning him. Suddenly he started to chuckle again, a grin appearing on his lips, and he shook his head,
"My sweet Angel, you miss understand." He said at first, his eyes lost their normally warm glow, "I'm not here to kill humans, I'm not here to ruin their lives, I'm here for something much much more fun." he laughed softly, stepping to walk beside the Angel, "We weren't all born for the same task. Some are meant to kill humans, lead them into the shadows of war, others to take the once pure world of the Angels and twist it to corrupt them..." his eyes narrowed, "Making them no better then us." he sighed, looking away, feeling slightly awkward to be talking to an angel about anything to do with his own kind.
You know, if one of the others catches me talking like this... He reminded himself grimly of the punishment that awaited him anyway. He looked over at Milliardo, a blush appearing over his once cold face,
"W-what did you say?" he blinked, realizing what the last two comments had been. He chuckled, softly this time, and smiled, blowing a bubble with his gum and popping it playfully.



Haruka smiled at him, lacing his fingers with Takerus happily, "But, Sam with think its wonderful that I'm asking him for help." He chuckled, "My fathers servants think I'm 'as cute as a kitten'" he said, making the quotation marks with his fingers.

Joe watched for a moment, before blinking, and chuckled,
"But it won't taste as good as a new stick... and its all chewed up and such..." he smiled, fascinated by the angel, and suddenly his pocket started beeping and vibrating. He blushed, his eyes dropping as one hand gently grabbed Milliardo's and the other pulled out his phone. He let out a heavy sigh, his shoulders dropped, "I gotta deal with this, just a sec'" he stepped back, muttering curses under his breath before flicking it open and holding it to his ear. "He- um, salve..." he muttered, rubbing his head as the annoyingly rough voice on the other side hurt his ear.
Damn Demons! Stop callin' me... He thought to himself, and froze as the voice went on. He hung up and spun to face the Angel, speechless and furious at the same time. He sighed, and ran a hand through his hair,
"My 'buddy' needs me to help him real quick..." he muttered, looking down at his feet, "I'm sorry, I gotta go." he dug through his bag and pulled out a notepad and pen. He wrote the directions to his apartment and the number, then handed it to Milliardo, "There. I'm really sorry about this, I'll be home... later..." I hope. He finished in his head, bowed apologetically, and opened his phone and started to call someone as he ran off back down the street.


Haruka smiled, and let out a perfect copy of a kittens meow, before chuckling, "Thank you." he said, his ears sticking up happily, and looking down at the phone, "How do you use this thing..." he muttered to himself, pressing random buttons, and muttering off a number.

Joe sighed and glanced around, making sure no one was around before raising his hand and snapping his figures as he listened to the panicked voice on the other side of his cellphone.
"Yeah yeah, I'm coming..." he muttered, and a strong gust of wind spun around him, it calmed, and Joe was standing outside an old run down three story house. He closed his phone, and took a deep breath, "Why me..." he moaned, and walked towards the door.


Haruka blinked and scratched his head, "R-right... okay..." he pressed a few keys and held it to his ear, he flinched, "Sam... Could you please pick me up from school?" He asked, his eyes moving to look up at Takeru, and he smiled slightly, "Yes..." his eyes narrowed, "I-I see, okay." He hung up, and looked at his watch, "He'll be here in about ten minutes... C'mon, I'll lock pick the gate or something." he laughed, grabbing Takeru's hand gently.

Joe walked through the dark house, the halls like a maze, noticing the faint smell of blood drifting the air around him. He walked up a stairwell, and finally felt the other demon nearby. He turned, opened the door, the smell of blood causing him to waver for a moment, his hand moving to cover his mouth,
"Siðspilltur af ljós... you came..." The demon muttered, its voice weak and rough.
Joe scanned the room, his eyes locking on the crumpled mass in the darkest corner, "Don't call me that." he growled, "You know I hate that name, Faust." he muttered, stepping forward, "Why did you call me?"
The demon remained silent for a moment, "I was attacked by an angel..." He answered, "I barely manged to get away..." He coughed, and Joe's eyes adjusted to the darkness, now glowing.
"Where is the angel now?" he asked, his eyes moving back to the hall, ignoring the wounds on the other demon.
"I don't know... he kept finding me no matter where I hid, so I called you... he could be here any minute..." The misshapen form answered.
Great... now I have to kill an angel.... Joe rubbed his head, I hate this job...



Haruka chuckled, "I had to learn how to lock pick, the other students kept changing the locks on my locker so I couldn't get in." he smiled back at Takeru, and they reached the front door, "Where are we going when Sam comes? Would you like to go home?" he asked, trying to change the topic as he reached for the door handle.

Joe shifted his weight, "Can you walk, Faust?" He asked, walking over to the other demon,
"I'm afraid this is where I'm going to stay..." He replied, "I'll be returning to our world soon..." He coughed, red eyes appearing through the darkness, looking up at Joe, "Siðspilltur... I'm sorry for dragging you into my fight, then running away, but you should do the same..."
Joe sighed, slightly annoyed by the whole thing, "Its fine, I can take any stupid angel down." he sighed again, remembering Milliardo and somehow feeling a ping of regret for calling them stupid, "We're trained for this kinda thing anyway. Can you open a portal?" he muttered the question, walking towards the window, and noticing a rather large bird coming their way, "Great..."
"I think I can manage, Siðspilltur, thank you..." The demon slowly started to fade away into a dark spot on the wall, "Run..."
Joe frowned, "Too late... " he looked around, scanning the room, and noticing that Faust was gone, "Jeeeeerk..." he mused, and chuckled, looking back at the angel that was slowly closing in on him.
This'll be fun....



Haruka blushed, "B-but, my father wont let you stay another night, and theres no way he'd let me stay at your place..." he bowed his head, his ears pinned back, "And you don't have to worry about them changing my locks anymore...." Joe took care of them for me.... he finished in his head, and smiled at Takeru, "But thank you." he said, softly placing a kiss on Takeru's cheek, "Thats very sweet."

Joe watched the angel land outside the house, and looked around quickly.
Not the best place to fight, but it'll have to do... He reached into his back pocket, dropping his bag on the floor, and pulled out a pair of gloves. He stepped back, watching the angel look up at the window, for some reason they were both hesitating.
"Where is the other Demon?" The angel called up to him, stepping foreword, trying to get a better look his new opponent.
"He left." Joe answered, walking over to the window, "I'll be your new opponent." He smiled, and jumped out the window, landing in front of the Angel, "Don't worry, I won't run." he chuckled, adjusting his gloves.
"I have no wish to fight you, I've come only for the other. Where did he go?"
Joe sighed, "Hmph, If you win, I'll tell you anything you'd like to know." he said, folding his arms across his chest,
"And if you win?" The angel asked, tipping his head, his wings folded behind him.
"Ah, well, thats simple..." Joes eyes glowed, "You die, what else?"
The angel took a deep breath, and unsheathed the sword he wore at his side, "I guess I have no choice then...." He muttered, stepping back into his stance.
"Then lets go." Joe said, before shooting at the Angel.



Haruka sighed, bowing his head, "Sam'll drive you..." he sighed, flicking the lock open and stepping out, holding the door open for him, "I'm sorry." he bit his lip, looking at his feet.
I really want to stay with him... I don't want to go home... He looked up at Takeru, But my father will only track me down....

Joe stepped back, panting, he leaned foreword, resting his hand against his knee,
"Your pretty good..." he complemented, wiping the blood of the cut on his cheek, and then pulling the knife in his thigh out with a sharp gasp before removing the one in his arm as well.
The man remained silent, before falling to his knees, a pool of blood forming around him, "Heh, you say this after you've already won...." the angel muttered, "Stop taunting me... Demon..." The angels hand was covering the hole in his chest, the other still holding onto his sword.
Joe straightened, gasping as his leg protested to the movement, "I'mma have a hell'va time trying to explain this to him..." he muttered under his breath, wiping the blood from his cheek again, and looking over at the angel, "I'm not taunting you, I'm being honest. Something I do often..." he chuckled, "Shame I have to kill you..." he muttered, his red eyes narrowing as he staggered over to the man.
The angel simply stayed there, unmoving, his eyes closed, "Just do it and stop talking..." The angel snapped, gritting his teeth.
Joe found himself hesitating again, and sighed, kicking the sword from the mans hands and trying to push his emotions aside,
"What crime did the other Demon commit?" Joe asked, looking down at the Angel.
"He killed an Innocent..." The angel replied, confused, and opened his eyes to look up at Joe.
An Innocent?



Haruka smiled slightly, and walked over to the gate, kneeling so he was level with the lock, "O-okay..." he muttered, pulling two pins out of his hair and starting to work on the lock, "Just a sec'....." He said, chuckling softly, and there was a loud click. He rose to his feet and opened the gate a little, just enough for them to get through, smiling back at Takeru.
