The Band
I'm too lazy to think of...
David shrugged slightly in reply to what Yuzuki had said. "You are really more to keep our producer happy, It's not like we are a bunch of Academy Students or civilians; we can take care of ourselves; but if you insist" Although they technically where civilians seeing as how they had retired from being ninja; but the meaning was understood. As He said this David pulled out a small match book and struck one of the matches; lightning the camp fire that he had built in front of him. "Well you can do what you want" He said as he relaxed in front of the campfire; its not like there was anything out here that would attack them.

Yuzuki's eyes narrowed somewhat at Davids words, not in any sort of malice or anything, it was more as if she was silently asking him what she should do, she felt like she was cheating or something if she was slacking off on missions. Even though the band members could far out perform them in any sort of tactical attack, she wasn't sure what else to do, really, train, she supposed, but she didn't want to disturb the band with her training... well, maybe she could for a little while. She was still hyped up from the concert anyway. Yuzuki looked around and picked a spot not far off from where they were staying, it was close enough that she could respond quickly if she needed to, but far enough away that she wouldn't be disturbing the band members and their down time. She knew what it was like to work herself to the bones endlessly, she had gotten into the habit of doing so to catch up and stay on par with the other genin when she was in the academy. It kind of followed her out as well. It was an unhealthy habit as now she pretty well drowned herself in jutsu's, she pushed her family away, she would say that she pushed her friends away too, but she really didn't have any opertunities to make them before they moved on and she was left behind. What was the point of making friends then, if all they did was move on and forget about you once they had bigger things to worry about. Kazin would move on one day too, pursing his own goals and leaving her to her own. After he was strong enough to leave her, he would... it always happened and it most likely always would. She saw no point. She pulled herself out of emo's ville, it wasn't going to do her a lick of good to be moody and depressed, she simply had to toughen her skin and put more iron around her heart to make sure that she obtained her goals that Kazin sneered down upon because it wasn't his ideals. He was the same as everyone else, really. There was no getting around that, and she just added his name to the list of people to prove wrong, that she could infact be strong on her own, The Serpent Saunin may not be the best rolemodel and although she wouldn't follow directly in his foot steps, he was still very much an insperation to her. If he could be strong on his own, but the gods she would be too. Set set up some basic and rather crude dummies for herself to practice on, she didn't want to use her chakra incase something happened that she needed what little she had left, so she decided to work on her weapon manipulations.
Yuzuki was practicing her Windmill triple blades, though this time she was only practicing with two of them, and her wire was replaced with something a little more durable and elastic, she was trying to better learn the angles so that she would be better able to bind her opponents, though she came across something by a happy accident. She was discovering that with this type of wire that the shuriken would come back after a short time lag, and back strike the enemy. She let out an amused ‘humph’ and temporarily put thoughts of training the Windmill to the side and began to experiment with this happy little accident. She weaved and flicked her wrists and watched the response of the shuriken attached at the end, she pulled and teased the elastic with nimble fingers and sinister purposes. She was tried various firmnesses of pulls from her fingers for manipulating the strings. She watched patiently, timing the return of the shuriken as they sailed back toward the target after throwing them with various strengths. It was like the Windmill technique in that the movements of her opponent would largely depend on if the shuriken struck them or not. She noted that with the elastics of the wire she was using, she really didn’t need to manipulate anything, she just had to lure her targets into a position where her shuriken would be able to swoop in and hit their back, or even one of their flanks, she would be happy with that. Knowing that, she could probably tie the ends to her belt, and then cut them off when they were no longer needed. She continued to practice with her blossoming technique, she used a lot of what she learned from her Windmill Triple Blades technique and applied them to this newly evolving ability. She experimented with moving around, using trees for the wire to twist and bend around the trees and branches, she experimented in the open and around the bushes, anywhere and everywhere she could to get a better feeling for the technique in the various environments so that she would be prepared for any situation that she might find herself in. Each re-toss of her shuriken and the reaction was categorized inside her mind, calculating the trajectories and the distances covered under a certain time seemed to be what made this technique work, it was all about the angles, timing and positioning of her opponents. All these factors could be taken into calculation whenever she was in combat. It wasn’t a technique that she sought to rely on, but it could create an opening in an opportune time when the chance to strike was good. She ran through the patterns one more time with each environment, her mind pacing and calculating the timing of her attacks, and the closer that she got to the actual times the more comfortable with her level of mastery of the technique, she confident that this knowledge could also be used for her Windmill attack.
Getting tired of using only small shuriken, she decided to focus on something a little bigger for a change, she fetched her Fuma shuriken and brought them to the training area, she knew of a technique that was rather hit or miss, but at the same time she was hoping that this technique was going to be something that would come in handy in a tight pinch. The trick to this was timing and distraction. The Shadow shuriken was something that could easily be rendered useless if her opponent saw the second shuriken. She started to practice throwing both of the blades and worked on not only how close she could get them to each other without cancelling each other out, but she also worked on how the shadowing effect worked with the closeness of the following shuriken. Though the trial and error she learned that the shuriken was best kept about six inches below the first and should be thrown five seconds after the first to optimise the shadowing effect of the first Shuriken and increasing the efficiency of the attack. Granted, the second equation was how to distract her opponent long enough to actually get that second Shuriken in there so that it wasn’t seen. Hiding the second one in the shadow of the first wouldn’t mean jack if the opponent saw her throw it in the first place. The solutions were fairly simple in her mind, she could distract her opponent with other weapons like kunai before she attacked with this technique, there were a lot of possibilities, really. Yuzuki worked on her technique while moving around, working on how to better angle her attack so that the shadow covered the secondary attack. It was a little more fiddly and moving around while throwing it defiantly increased the likely hood of it being seen, she also had to be careful about the trajectory with the second shuriken as well, if she misaligned her attack she could potentially have the two of them cancel each other out. She worked on that aspect of the attack, and she found out very quickly that it wasn’t as easy as the texts seemed to make it out to be. She was rather pleased with her near final result. She had seemed to have taught herself a trick that seemed to help her with the timing and the angling of the second shuriken… as the monks who taught arm wrestling would say: it was all in the wrist. Yuzuki continued to try various things with the technique, once again bringing it into the different terrain to see what was the best combination in the different environments. The forested Terrain seemed to be the best way to use the Shadow Shuriken, the undergrowth proved cover for both of the shuriken, so if the first one caught you by surprise then the second one would certainly be a nasty shock. Yuzuki continued her practice in the various terrain till she was comfortable with the double layering of the shuriken. There was always room for improvement, but that would come in actual battle and not in training.
Yuzuki was starting to wind up her wire and place them in her tools pouch again when she heard a noise, a loud noise that was coming from a fair distance away, she heard the birds panicing and the sounds of trees faintly breaking. Her eyes narrowed and she paused in her actions, her eyes narrowed a little bit as she faced the direction of the noise. After a few more minutes of wondering what the hell the noise was, she slowly relaxed a little. She heard no other noise after that, at least nothing apparent. Maybe it was just some other ninja or something, whatever it was she doubted that they would have to worry about it. Granted it put her on guard but she was more than happy to return to the others to... make sure that they weren't going to get in trouble and cut off from one another is something big and horrible did come out of the bushes. Yuzuki made her way back into a tree, abit, one that was a little closer to the rest of the group.((Manipulated Shuriken Technique: D rank: 500/500 Shadow Shurken: D rank: 500/500))

Kazin took in a quick glance from all around him with his Byakugan, just to get the initial ideas of their surroundings. Kazin glanced over in Yuzuki's direction to watch her train for a bit. He thought about what she was doing and found it quite interesting. He was going to have to inquire about it later. Kazin then deactivated it and sit across the fire from the band. "Since we're here, I wanna know about you guys a little better. I know it may seem a little odd, but I would rather get to know you all a little better instead of talking about your music. Although, you all are really ingenious about adding the jutsu to your music. I got a first hand view of the effects it had on the crowd, and I have to give it to you; your control was amazing." Kazin said in his usual perkiness. Kazin liked their music, but he was more interested in their techniques. He always looked up to more experienced ninja, and sought knowledge and techniques whenever he could. He was extremely lucky on his last mission to get to be able to learn what he had from Brengen.

As Yuzuki trained the Guitarist looked over at the Boy from his spot in the tree. "Well what do you want to know?" He asked sitting there stretching his arms far over his head in order to make his back pop a number of times. "And I might as well ask a question as well; you know how to play any instrument?" He asked still looking down at the Genin. The Band members each seemed to look over at the sounds in the distance, but seemed to Ignore them; they where still far away; getting closer, but far away non the less.

Kazin shrugged, and was a little surprised by the question. "Well, stuff like, whats your hobby, and what kind of stuff do you do in your free time?" Kazin asked. "And to answer your question, I have never really had time to pick up an instrument because of lack of time. I've always found it interesting. I think it would definitely be fun to pick up eventually." Kazin gave his usual heartfelt smile in response. He found these guys pretty interesting, and wanted to delve in a little deeper into their personalities.

"Ahh" the guitarist said nodding slightly after Kazin spoke once more. "Hobby wise; mister social over there" The guitarist said pointing to the Drummer inside the tent who was still reading silently; only to get a middle finger raised up at him at the same time. "He as you can tell spends just about ALL his time reading; hell I never even see him practice. While I normally think up new recipes, Band cook is a title Ive gained" He said before laughing a bit. "And David makes new Jutsu' 99% of them are worthless but it pass's the time" He said finishing his answer to what it was that Kazin had asked him. "And its too bad you never got into an instrument"

Yuzuki got back to the other around this time, she walked over to the fire and plopped herself down infront of it, she leaned back and closed her eye, letting her head slowly lull back while she relaxed her neck muscles, she undid her clawed guantlets and rested them closely near-by. She made a grimacing face as she brought her hands up and began messaging her neck and shoulders. God she was sore, she pulled her mask down, revialing the purple bruses that still circled her neck from the brute in the cemetary. She tried to relax a little and eventually she repositioned herself and lay parallel to the fire. Resting her hands behind her head she gazed up at the stars. She didn't know what Kazin and the guitarist were talking about and didn't want to interupt their conversation incase it was semi-private or one of those 'boys only' conversations that made the girls roll their eyes and shuffle away embarassed.

"Well, it also didn't help that I didn't have anyone to teach me" Kazin replied. "My family only really knows martial arts, and they don't dabble into anything else really. They were a little taken aback whenever I told them that I like music in the first place. They told me that it was a useless hobby." Kazin rubbed the back of his head feeling slightly embarrassed. He knew his parents were a little old fashioned, but it still bothered him to bring it up. After a moment he pulled his music player out of his pocket, and showed it to David. "I'm a little short of being obsessed with music though. This thing is completely jammed packed full, and it's constantly in my ears while I'm not on a mission. I'm really into beats, but I can really appreciate a good guitarist. I'm sadly not really much of a singer, so I usually just end up mouthing the words." Kazin smiled as he said this, feeling slightly more embarrassed.

The guitarist laughed a bit as Kazin said that hi family saw Music as a waist of time. "Well if you ever learn an instrument you can always learn some Sound Based Genjutsu with it; just think; if your Friend Yuzuki; who is already a Genjutsu user can learn to use Vocals in order to cast them; You can make a multi layer Genjutsu' that uses's both of the sounds you are making; some people call it a collaboration Jutsu" He said nodding slightly as David looked over at Yuzuki. "Yuzuki you know you don't need to be an outcast over there" The Singer said laughing a bit.

Yuzuki lifted her head and looked over at David as she chuckled at her. She gave a bit of an embarassed grin before sitting up and joining into the conversation, she sat cross legged at the fire. She looked over at Kazin as he expressed his interest in learning an instroment. "If your interested in learning an instroment, you could always just teach yourself by playing by ear, that's pretty well how I learned to play the ocarina. It takes some time, and you have to learn how to listen for pitches of the different notes but it is possible." Yuzuki let what the guitarist said roll around in her head, having someone who could collaborate her genjutsu would be an advantage. She then looked up and had a look of bemusement at Kazin. "Why stop at Genjutsu? We could learn a collaboration technique for Taijutsu and ninjutsu as well. That is... if your interested... and we ever have the time..." Time, what the hell was that anymore? The only time she seemed ot have free time was when she need someone to go on a mission with her. Even if she had free time, it wasn't like she had anyone to spend time with so she often spent her time training.

It's Just beneath the skin... As Kiko trained Ichi remained fast asleep; the boy not waking up as the two of them made here giant rucus. However over time the boy woke up and looked for Kiko; Which he didn't see inside the Tent.... and as he got out of the tend, he saw the condition that the area around the site was in. Which made him wonder; what the hell had happened. Ichi, now in a panic started to look for Kiko; not seeing her or San. "K-kiko!, S-san!?" Ichi yelled wondering where the two of them where.

There was a large crater not too far from the campsite-the trees around the area were gone and it looked like it had snowed-but whenever it was touched, the "snow" turned to a fine, powdery sawdust that flew into the air. A large ditch cut through the middle of the crater, and half a tree stood at the end, looking as though something giant had drilled through it, completely severing the other half of the tree, which was gone. At the end of the sawdust covered ditch lay what appeared to be a body, though it was slightly curled up around something....Tsukiko New Theme

It's Just beneath the skin... Ichi looked around the area seeing the boy was shaken and confused as well as extremly worried due to him not knowing where Kiko was at the moment; the boy when continued along the path of destruction that was throughout the forest, He was hoping (And partially hoping that he wouldn't) find Kiko at the end of it. However as he saw what appeared to be a body Ichi started sprinting down the path. "K-KIKO!" Ichi said running down the path towards the Body.

Kiko's body didn't move at all as Ichi yelled at her, and laid completely still as he sprinted up towards her. San was wrapped in her arms, and Kiko was covered in dirt and scratches-her clothes were torn in a lot of places and the whole situation looked bad, to say the least. Broken tree branches were all along the edges of where Kiko laid at, and the dust seemed disturbed there worse than anywhere else. The trees around the area were torn to pieces-some of them uprooted and chunks of tree bark and pith were scattered across the field of sawdust.Tsukiko New Theme

It's Just beneath the skin... By now Ichi was in a Panic; he had no idea what had happened; and he had slept through the whole thing. As Ichi reached Kiko; the boy leaned down next to her and shook her gently. "K-Kiko!?" Ichi yelped slightly trying to wake her up; it was clear that she was still alive seeing as how she was still breathing but he still had no idea what it was that had happened; had she been attacked? The area looked like it after all. Ichi remained kneeling next to Kiko shaking her lightly still trying to wake her up.
